O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar

O’Charlies Monroe, LA you suck. Obvious lack of management, bathrooms horrible. Escorted to a table, but had to wait for table to be wiped down, then seated. Waited for 5 minutes for menus. Another guest told us services sucks. We also told two other parties the were waiting to be seated, with no staff in sight, about it. They left too.

I use to come to O’Charley’s all the time before I moved out state, where we don’t have any. Coming home for the holiday, I was eagar to stop by. It was filthy when we walked in. Most tables were dirty but we chose to eat in the bar anyway. Because of our party of 5 we had to sit at a dirty table. The waitress came by ignoring the dirty table asked if we wanted to order drinks. I asked for her to please clean the table; When she could not reach she handed us the towel to finish cleaning =/​The food was very underwhelming. Altogether we ordered, 2 chicken strip dinners, Steak dinner, and nachos. It was all very underwhelming. It was hot when it arrived and everything was correct but it just wasn’t good. We also ordered 2 red sangria’s which again was underwhelming. After time and time again of disappointment, we won’ t be back. I wish it was like it use to be !

Ordered a appetizers that arrived with hair in it. I pinched the corner off of one the cheese stick before sending it back… they returned and told me the redid the entire plate, but for some reason my same pinched off cheese stick remained on the plate… nothing like lying to your customers. … i will not be back.

Been here 30+ minutes now. Very slow service (although props to our waitress for bringing refills). Still waiting for appetizers. They did bring us some bread about 15 minutes after we arrived (after we’d ordered drinks and our main course). On arrival, our table was dirty as were the appetizer plates when we sat down. There’s a stain on the wall behind our table. There’s a table next to ours that hasn’t been cleaned since we got here. In over 30 minutes it still has a bottle of windex, a bottle of ketchup, two waitress trays, a used plate and ramekin, and a variety of chairs around it. I sadly have. I idea when our food is going to arrive and we’re now stuck in that vortex of trying to decide if we should cut our losses and settle up now or continue to wait for what may be an eternity. Wish we had decided to eat lunch elsewhere.
Update: We finally asked for our check and left. The I cleaned table actually got worse. Some people left a booth two behind ours and instead of removing the dirty dishes, the hostess took the dirty plates and piles them onto the previously mentioned I cleaned table which was right next to us. Another waitress came and told us th manager would comp our meal including drinks and she apologized but never heard from management.

The service is less than desirable whether you dine in or pick up pies to go. The food is mediocre at best. Pie is delicious and only reason I go back. Pecan and French Silk are the best! I get so frustrated waiting at to-​go counter for anyone to help me. I watch 15 staff go by without acknowledging me and being in customer service that frustrates me. The kitchen is far from clean and seems to be where staff goes to check phone or avoid customers… You can view it from to go counter. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes to get a delicious pie or even if you call food in for take out. Dine in and staff doesn’t know menu well and staff rarely refills drinks or checks on table. Food seems frozen and recooked. I LOVE fish and fries… Don’t order that from menu, it’s terrible. French dip, burger and salads are edible if hungry. I suggest this place get new management and perhaps the staff will take pride in restaurant and than experience would improve.

Absolutely no service… Obviously no one manages this restaurant. Was greeted rudely and after 15 mins no server ever came to take my order. Will never go back…

The food was bland, had steak and ribs. Steak was done well but under seasoned and the ribs were cold and bland.

I really, really like O’Charley’s and considering I didn’t even know what this place was when a friend suggested it, that says something. I also am not a fan of trendy chain restaurants like TGIF, Chili’s, Applebees and the sort.
So going in, I had low expectations — especially from these poor reviews. But I was blown away. We did the two can dine for $ 20, with an appetizer and two entrees. The artichoke dip was tasty –not enough chips and the dip was not warmed up enough but we ate it all anyways. And the bread basket was so good, three plump sweet bread rolls.
I ordered the sesame glazed tilapia and it was better than I expected times 100. The portion was huge and the sauce delicious. It had a sweet onion base and the tilapia laid on top of it perfectly grilled and tender. Tilapia is usually bland but they spiced it well and the sauce topped it off. So good… even my friend raved about the tiny bite I let her taste. I usually stop half-​way, especially with such a big portion, but ended up eating it all which I regretted after.
With the bill so low, the waiter overly friendly (a bit too attentive), and the food so good — this is a place I might actually go back to. Definitely recommended, if you order this entrée.

I love the the take out staff! They were always so friendly, and very willing to deal with our special orders, never making us wait too long. From the moment we phoned in our order, which they eventually memorized, it was a pleasant experience. I enjoyed going to pick up the food and visiting with the staff for a bit. It also meant a lot to me that they would ask about me, when I was not there. One more bit of praise: they always made sure to show us every item, to make sure everything was correct.
I totally recommend ordering take out from here! (we didn’t eat at the restaurant enough to have an opinion about dining in).

It’s okay. It isn’t horrible. I like the Black and Bleu salad. The rolls are good. Just don’t expect much, then you won’t be disappointed. I think most of the staff are on drugs.

When I first started going to O’Charleys, I loved the food! They had a really good steak there at one time! Last couple of times I’ve been there it has been a bad expeirence! My steak was burnt, none of my order was correct, and our waiter was very rude! I wouldnt go back.. .

O’ Charley’s has been here probably 5 years or so. I heard a few bad things in the beginning, so I wouldn’t try it. We have been there twice recently, and it was excellent both times. I had the Potato Soup, a steak, and shrimp, and catfish, and steak the last time. The service was good, and we will definitely be back soon.
