This is the second time I’ve eaten here, and the food was delicious just like last time. My husband and I got burgers this time. The burger is so good, it is in my top 5 of all time best burgers I’ve had. My husband got the all-you-can-eat seafood plate last visit. There was so much food on the first platter, he couldn’t even finish it all. He said the fried fish was the best he has ever ate in a restaurant and being from Louisiana that is a bold statement for him. We hope you give it a chance. It only needs one time to impress.

Very disappointed. Will give it one more try just in case tonight was a fluke. The only thing I enjoyed was the tea. My son loved his shrimp poboy but he only likes it with shrimp and bread. It’s a good thing cause nothing else comes on it! Had to ask for cocktail sauce, catsup, and tarter sauce after we got food which included fried catfish & shrimp and way too many fries. To get that took another 10+ mins on top of the forty it took to get our dinner and they only had one other table when we got there. Cole slaw had so much mayo it couldn’t be eaten. Fries MAY have been made fresh but were too thick and had a weird batter. Nothing else was made there… Mostly from freezer! Restaurant has potential. They need better wait staff and food that isn’t from a bottle, box or frozen. That’s real New Orleans cuisine.

My fiancé and I always enjoy Papa Joe’s. I’m not really sure why it’s not always packed. It’s in a cozy little house they’ve recently renovated and have transformed into a charming New Orleans style restaurant. I think it was a Mexican restaurant previously. You most certainly can’t tell that now. It has a definite New Orleans feel, which I love. It’s always very clean. There’s never ever a wait. Pretty much every time we go, we have the whole place to ourselves. The staff is friendly. I always enjoy the food. My favorite dishes are the shrimp po’ boy & fries, & the gumbo — All VERY delicious. The gumbo is full of chicken and sausage! Most places that serve gumbo in this area give you a bowl of liquid with like 3 pieces of meat/seafood. That’s not my idea of good, authentic gumbo. My fiancé really enjoys the Magazine burger. He’s let me try it. It’s super tasty. The ONLY complaint I have about Papa Joe’s is that every time we go, they’re out of something we try to order. Other than that, it’s great! I love it. I hope it becomes a more popular spot. I’d hate to see it close.

Food is great! Service needs to be greatly improved. If we get Talliferro for our waiter he is great.

My friends and I love Papa Joes! The shrimp and grits are very good, the coffee is AMAZING, French fries are great! The staff is very cool and relaxed, but extremely helpful, and who doesn’t love bottomless mimosas? Did I mention they’re open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday?

Needs some work. Service was fine. More help there than customers. Po boy was served dry. Should have had romulade or at least mayo. Pretty sure we paid tax twice. Nothing special. Oh and no internet so we couldn’t check in. Wish them lots luck as they are fairly new. We went because the radio station was doing a live broadcast. Shoulda gone to Copelands!
