Very unhappy. Food extremely dry. Owner very cheap about«extras» like chips and sauces. Chicken really bad. Burrito with chile relleno should have been juicy. It was SO dry. We will NOT go back. Yuck. Sandy R.

Los Chiles Locos! This place has been here for the longest time with change of ownership & name changes. A small restaurant with a handful of tables & benches to eat outdoors. Nothing fancy however somewhat decent quality Mexican food. knowing that this place is located in a busy corner with a car wash next to the place, you can enjoy some delicious Mexican food while you wait for your car to be cleaned. If you are riding the new Gold line extension, it’s worth it to stop by, exit the Monrovia station & try this place.

Good food just needs to be open later on Fridays and Saturdays. Otherwise the best and only place to find good tacos in Monrovia…

Listened to good music while waiting on soft clean tables in shade for food… Food was great/with great deals. Overall good spot to stop for lunch.

Ordered a hard taco plate and a fish taco Hardshell fresh fried tortilla, carnitas meat was juicy and flavorful. Beans ok, rice was good. Lettuce was fresh, cabbage was crisp. Wish my tacos had more cheeze, but I also like lots of cheese. Good food and reasonable prices. Will stop by there again if I am in the area.

Haven’t been here in some time but I think they have a new hot sauce that is killer. Will be back more often.

I was craving Horchata and wanted to stop by here just to grab that, and the guy at the window was like«That’s it?» like I’m wrong just because I just wanted a Horchata? And the worst part of all is when I took a sip from it, it just tasted like water. I THREWITAWAY. What a waste. AVOID!

The ladies that work here are very nice, but obviously they hate their job, evident in their lack of enthusiasm to serve people. They recommended the chicken burrito, they said it has a lot of meat in it, and they did not lie! Tons of good chicken. However, what the burrito had in size, it lacked in taste. It was probably the blandest burrito I’ve ever had. I tried spicing it up with their hot sauce, and fried all taste buds in my mouth for 2 days. Chips were less than desirable, not only in that they only gave me 5 of them, but they were stale and blah. Good, not great.

My girlfriend ordered their Mojado Burrito and I saw them put the burrito in the styrofoam to-go box, sprinkled cheese on top, and popped the entire thing inside a microwave until I saw smoke coming out of it. Then I saw the two ladies try to move the burrito from what I assume is now a partially melted styrofoam box into a new box. Upon seeing that, I knocked on the window and told them I no longer wanted the burrito because after all, who wants to eat something that was nuked and transferred from a melted styrofoam box. She then tried to tell me that she was only trying to melt the cheese, which I totally understand, but you do not use a styrofoam box to heat up food that you are selling to customers.

So you are driving down the road in your 6 — 4 jocken the bitches, slappin a hoe, on your way to the park to get the scoop… HOLDIT, WAIT A MINUTE, need to put a TACO in it… but this joint ummm yeah looks shady as PHUUUU… so yeah I don’t know if you want to eat here. They are just a kitchen and a couple of parking spaces. I paid cash and think they take debit or visa/mc but not positive on that. Since the tacos were a buck and cheaper if you get a drink, let alone taco Tuesday special sale… its worth stopping at… I really liked the chicken tacos. They were packed with flavor. I also found that the al pastor was acceptable, loved that there were grilled onions in it, but found the meat to only be ok. When I have al pastor I am hoping for huge flavor and unfortunately, I didn’t get here. Definitely they were decent, but just not as awesome as the chickie ones… I don’t like that they had a pre mix of the cilantro and onions. I have a hard time eating raw onions, so I was disappointed to not get my cilantro without the onions diced in =\ The hot sauce was also so so. Regardless of all of that hoopla, I enjoyed my visit here… not if I was in an El Camino rollen key low G, I wouldn’t be able to stop as the parking lot entrance is too steep… ;)

75 cent tacos after 5pm deal is now gone! The 99 cent tacos are still a pretty good deal, always leaves me coming back for more.

Certainly a step above most fast food Mexican places and lightyears beyond the nearby chains, especially when paired with their awesome deals. I’ve never ventured away from the daily specials, but there’s really no need to. Taquitos, flautas, burritos, and you’re set. Is it greasy? Of course. Will it leave you full all day? Probably. Do they take credit card? With a $ 10 purchase, yes. Owner is nice, staff is nice, guacamole is nice.

FIVESTARTAQUITOS! Saturday night and I was craving taquitos, so I gave this place a try. I’m so glad I did. The red & green sauces are fresh and with a large sandia drink, you can’t go wrong. Going to come back soon and try a torta! Also, really nice people there!

NEVEREATINGHEREAGAIN! I got a simple bean and cheese burrito and The first bite was ok. not too much flavor but it was ok. THEN i took my second bite and i bite down on to a rock the size of a nickel! It was a thick rock and it ended up cracking my tooth! so i call Los Chiles after finding the rock and I try to tell them that they need to check their beans because i found a rock in my food and it broke my tooth! all they said was«I dont know what to tell you» none said im sorry or anything. just«i dont know» I had to get the tooth pulled because the dentest couldnt save it. Then i had to get a bridge put it. I had to spend over $ 1300 on my dental work. Careful when going to this place!

more like 3.5÷5 stars. don’t judge a book by its covers. this place isn’t too shabby. i stopped by for dinner the other day and apparently they have a 5 dollar special. it consists of 4 tiny chicken flautas with rice/beans and a fountain drink. i think other 5 $ deals come with rice/beans and drink with 1)bean and cheese burrito 2)2 tacos (get the chicken flautas, i think its the best deal) they also have daily specials. and daily 75 cent tacos. they also have orange bang!!! best drink on this planet. drink of the gods, i usually refer it as. it’s located right next to a car wash and has limited parking!

Los Chiles Locos looks like it was taken right out of Compton or Tijuana for it has a certain look to it. My sister is always here because of the taco special they have on the weekend, which is as follows: 50 cent tacos after 8P.M.(Fr-Sun) with the purchase of a large drink. They also have a daily special every day of the week – on Fridays it’s a bean and cheese burrito for $ 1.99. The food is pretty tasty if you ask me! I just wish that they had hotter salsa – I love salsa that makes me sweat. But perhaps it is good that the salsa doesn’t make me sweat bc the seating is right under these bright lights, which makes me feel as if I’m in an interrogation room. Not feelin’ that. **UPDATE** I’m not too sure if they still have the 50 cent taco on the weekend, but they now have .75 cent tacos(with the purchase of a drink) after 5P.M.

Good carne asada taco, but if you’re not too keen on spicy salsa, then I recommend going easy on the spicy salsa! The meat for the carne asada is ok and it’s seasoned just fine. I like how the carne is cooked. Though I do remember coming here a long long time ago and the meat was dry as jerky. Luckily that’s something of the past and the meat is tender and tasty. The smaller size taco is pretty big! I think they packed it plenty for me. This place has deals depending on the day and time, so keep an eye out for the signs and banners. Though keep in mind that most of the deals require purchase of a small or large drink. Either way, the small taco is pretty cheap, 99 cents plus tax. Well worth it. I like coming here at night because the carwash next door isn’t open. It gets pretty busy during the day because cars are coming in and out of the very steep driveway. Watch out for that driveway, it has an unforgiving dip.

I was here this past Friday and the special was 1.99 $ for bean N cheese burrito so I ordered that and 3 regular size tacos. 1 asada, 1 pastor, and 1 lengua. The bean N cheese was not my favorite at all. I rarely order this but wanted to try the special. It had mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar. The asada was marinated good and so was the pastor but it was very oily, like dripping from my hand and in between my fingers. The lengua was plain. No flavor to it. Hope this helps.
