Absolutely the best Chicken Hoagie ever! Fresh bread, shaved chicken and crisp vegetables. Customer service was prompt but had to request napkins and mayonnaise which was not available on condiment bar. Medium Soda & Sandwich was $ 11-which I feel is a bit pricey, but good!

Good food. I’m spoiled when it comes to really Philly cheese steak, but this comes as close as I’m going to get it. Most of all, I like the staff and manager. They always make me feel welcomed and somewhat better about spending money. XD they’re always up for conversation and seem to be good people.

Passable cheese steak, was hoping for more but it wasn’t bad. Fries were good, otherwise just kinda meh overall.

This place is WEAK!!! We paid almost $ 10 for some skimpy sandwhich. We ordered the philly cheese steak. All bread hardly any meat. We complained to the manager and he explained that it was all weighed out and wouldn’t give us any more me or anything else to subsidize for a lack of service. Two thumbs down below average tasting and horrible customer service. Will never come back again when advise you don’t either!

Love this place — service is best(of course) when one of the owners is there. Great sandwiches, moderate prices. On the 5th, 15th, and 25th any sandwich is 5.55 but line is out the door and wait can be over 30 minutes. Great food

When you need a cheesesteak, Philly’s best is a local version to get you a cheesy meaty meal on a great soft roll to fill the hungriest belly. The meat is not gamey like Steakumm, but it gives your teeth something to sink into. When I ate at Pat’s, the beef definitely gave it a creaminess. The meat is not as greasy, but a little dry. The cheese is definitely American, but wish they had Provolone, or even better, Cheese-Whiz.

I was really looking forward to having the pepperoni cheesesteak but the wait for the food was ridiculous. We got our food about 30mins after placing the order. We had to take them to go so we wouldn’t be late. Sure it was a 5.55 on a 5 day special but the place wasn’t crowded. There were 6 of us, 5 of which ordered the same thing. I’ve been there with lines out the door and still get the sandwich in 20minutes. When i finally got the sandwich, it was cold. The cheese didn’t even melt. Overall experience was very disappointing.

These guys are good for service and a respectable sandwich. Melted cheese, piping hot beef and a nice roll. They would score better with a better bread option but the ingredients are better than most. Come to eat and get that comfort food you’ve been looking for.

I had craving for real Philly cheesesteak, but I am not aware of anywhere close by that would taste like what I get in Philadelphia. The ones I got here are not exactly Philly style but as good as it gets in Pasadena area that I am aware of…(If u know anywhere else with real Philly style, please PM me). I substituted the green peppers with mushrooms. The cashier and person preparing it were both friendly. It is high quality grill cheese sandwiches. The bread is slightly chewy like the ones I expected. Just too bad it doesn’t have American and cheese whiz nor the pickled jalapeños. If I don’t compare to what I had in mind, I probably give that sandwich a higher score. I don’t give 5 star easily, unless it’s perfection to me. The onions were so wonderfully grilled and browned… The bread was grilled/toasted perfectly. I would definitely go back again. Try to eat there since the bread will be nice and toasty :)

Update: My wife and I have given Philly’s Best another chance and they have improved dramatically. The cheese fries alone have raised the score. Now they actually use a large spoon for the wiz and there is more cheese than fries lol. Thank you new owners for realizing that fat people like cheese lol. Still no crispy onions, and the grilled onions are barely grilled but that’s ok. Chicken and cheese sandwich still my fav and still very good TIP: ask for wiz and American cheese. My wife is going to give their burger another chance so another update may follow.

Used to be a lot better. Now it’s pretty overpriced for the okay-ness. Honestly, Dave and busters over at the westfield has a better cheese steak. Plus, they serve alcohol!

Luis used his bare hands to touch my food right after he touched money at the register. I asked for extra mushrooms, n he scooped it with his bare hands right after he took another guests money at the register. E arranged the mushrooms on my sandwich in front of me. So gross. I didn’t want to complain in front of the other customers, so I took my food to go and tossed it. I went next door to Baja and ate there. :(

Now under New Ownership… And we walk in and the NOFRIES?! The cashier tells us the fry machine is broken, no fries. Usually like this place, strange to not have any fries though.

Good place and definitely been the best place to get a cheesesteak but I can’t believe they close sooo early. I feel like I’m in a small town, not LA. Always trying to get a meal and they’ve already closed…

Their food is a 5 star for sure. Plain quiet philly shop but the sandwiches are great! I’ve had the chicken philly which was good but a touch bland. The cheese steak was really good but I asked them to add mayo. Kids loved the turkey and cheese kids meal. Overall really good value and great eats. I would recommend trying if you are a philly fan!

First off, never ever been to Philly, so I don’t have any clue how authentic Philly Cheese Steaks are suppose to taste. Philly’s Best is a franchise based out of South Philly where two owners brought this great establishment to CA, and thank for that, it is really hard to find a place that serves cheese steaks. The only other place I have found was in K-Town called Whiz which have several different variations of cheese steaks. I was originally walking to a pizza joint till I saw Philly’s Best and remembered I wanted to check it out. The food joint is spacious, and the menu is plastered on the wall, they have cheese steaks, chicken sandwiches, burgers, and hoagies. They have several types of cheese steaks, from plain to vegetarian. I was going to order the Philly Cheese steak, but I went with the namesake one; Phill’s Best which contained cheese steak, sweet peppers and mushrooms. I think the big draw were the mushrooms. Sandwiches are made to order, came out hot, and had great flavors. The roll they used was soft and chewy, great amount of steak, mushrooms and peppers were a nice touch.

Cheesesteaks! Service is really good and the restaurant is clean. I have tried Philly’s Best a few times. I only came here when I had a coupon or it was $ 5 for any cheesesteak. Philly Cheesesteak — It is a good cheesesteak but nothing compared to ones you actually get in Philly. Steak is cooked well, mushrooms and onions are great, and melty gooey cheese. Chicken Cheesesteak — Exactly like the orginal but with chicken. Good choice if you do not want steak. Overall, probably best place in 626 to get a decent Philly Cheesesteak.
