I come to subway on average like twice a week. There are 4 subways within a 2 – 3 mile radius of my work and this is by far my favorite. The place is huge, clean, and has a restroom for customers(anyone who frequents subway knows that’s a rarity). I’ve yet to go in on a day when they didn’t have honey green tea; which is a must, it’s the only thing I’ll drink at subway since don’t drink soda. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They always hallow my bread out all the way when I ask, unlike most other subways that take out the tiniest amount. Lastly, they always give me more than 1 napkin!!! Again, if anyone frequents subway you know this is very unlikely to happen unless you ask for extra.

I am never stepping into this place again. This used to be my favorite subway, I don’t know what happened. I went in after my usual hike and wanted to grab a quick 6 inch. First, the tomatoes were old, they had probably been there all day, so instead of even getting my usual, I opted for a tuna. The guy there named Maurico, was very rude, spoke limited English and seemed bothered that I was there. He was actually in the back when I walked in, there was one other customer in the place. I said I wanted a 6 inch tuna and he proceeded to load up the bread, with attitude and overkill. Then he started to name all of the options, «you want lettuce, tomatoe, you want mustard, mayo» he kept going with attitude. Finally, I said just the tuna, wrap it up, I paid and I left. He might have been having an off day but he was not friendly. There is an older woman, who is sweet, I think her name is Mercie? I think she quit, I quit this shithole too. Dirty floors, lazy guy working there, going to the one on foothill now.

This is a new location on Huntington in the city of Monrovia. Unlike all subways this location is designed beautifully. I came in around lunch time. The woman that helped me was a manager so she was friendly and efficient. Only drawback is they don’t have honey green tea and the plaza is ghetto!

Entered the store at 7pm there was no customers, I was greeted but once I got to the section to pick my bread I was completely ignored for nearly 5 minutes with 3 workers in the back. Finally, Edwin decided to take my order in such a rude manner slamming my flat bread on the board and doing everything in slow motion. My sandwich wasn’t amazing when just a blob of spinach is thrown on there and I speak up on spreading it. He also didn’t know which cookies are which or which promotions there was for cookies. The female worker was also very rude and so was Mauricio that was ignoring customers in the back. This store is new, I’d expect a little better out of it. And it can all start with workers that don’t seem so miserable being there.
