Small, cute little coffee place. Do the whole range of teas and coffees, chai and chocolate. Outside seating only(do have umbrellas for shade). Small selection of pastries to start off your day. Owner is friendly and welcoming as are the staff.

After reading a number of reviews, I wanted to check this place out being a bit of a coffee snob and renter out in Montauk. This place is a pop-up in between two stores with an entrance on a side street parallel to Route 27. There’s a bar made of wood, a large table with umbrellas giving some shade accompanied by a number of high-top bar stool and a cozy low plank of wood with low lying seats nearby. They have a variety of coffee choice ranging from your basic drip to espresso based specialty drinks(ie lattes) to herbal teas, both hot or cold. The regular coffee is good, hot or cold and agree with others that it is perhaps one of the best to get a cup of joe in town. However, on another visit I tried a mocha latte and it was horrible, watered down and not enough chocolatey flavor. The pastries make up for the crappy lattes. I’ve had the chocolate and almond croissant, mmm yummy! Staff is cool, a bit reserved but hospitable. Music here leans on the side of alternative and heavy rock. I came by on a Saturday — my first time here — and was thoroughly disappointed. On their website they said they have a troubadour night with local musicians/open mic which I called to confirm before going on my bike. The guy over the phone said«yeah, we have that going on» so I assumed that was true. Come to find that it wasn’t so that«Service» as stated on the website is false.

Great atmosphere, great coffee and good gluten free options. It’s a bit hard to find and the driveway up is a bit difficult with a stroller but no complaints otherwise.

Cute little coffee enclave. Only came here once but had the iced coffee, which I thought was flavorful and strong. There were some delish looking baked goods but I resisted, knowing that I had to go to the beach later. The girls who worked here were nice.

The hubs and I, and our pup, decided to come and grab drinks early this morning after watching the sunrise. We have frequented Montauk and are familiar with the area, so we knew exactly where we were headed. The big flag at the entrance helped too. The aesthetics are great for the space and it’s just a super relaxed atmosphere. We could have hung out there all morning. I ordered a hot chocolate as I am(unfortunately) not drinking coffee, but I am a pretty good judge of a place based on this; theirs was delightful, but mildly tasted like a packet of hot cocoa. However, I am also not above a good brand of packet hot chocolate; and for an outdoor local, I was a happy camper. Hubs ordered a cortado, which was«really good, although for a coffee naturalist their cortado was the size of a cappuccino.» All in all you get a little more milk than what you might want so keep that in mind. Overall hubs said«for me it wasn’t bitter, it was soft espresso; nutty.» Staff was super friendly and engaging which we love when we frequent coffee shops. We had a great experience and would definitely come back to hang.

Super tiny place tucked in the middle of no where. Search it out as the coffee and drinks are fantastic. Baked goods are super yummy and drinks are perfectly made. Stop for a quick break during the beach as it is walking distance from the beach. Grab a freah cup for the long ride home, you wont be dissapointed. Great Great Great.

Great little coffee spot that’s a bit hard to find but just follow the signs around to the back. I prefer my coffee black and the iced coffee was easy to drink even without adding milk or sugar. My wife got the iced latte which was also really nice. We tried to come back for more at around 9:15 but they informed us that they were already closed(think they closed at 8:00) for the evening even though everywhere online it said they’d be open to 10:00.

Such a gorgeous little escape from the tourist trap of the main street, especially during the week when no one’s there! I hide there with my book under an umbrella and rock out to the awesome music played by the barista, Evelyn! Can’t wait to go back in September.

Let me begin by saying that Sagtown Coffee is a little difficult to find. While the official address is on Montauk Highway, you’re better off walking along S. Elmwood [with binoculars] to locate a wee-itty-bitty sign that leads you to the entrance, which is basically an alleyway. I had heard that Sagtown Coffee«was the ‘best coffee spot’ in Montauk», which I did not doubt, especially after finding out that they use beans from La Colombe. Unfortunately, I was supremely disappointed. My latte [a small with 2% milk] was not very foamy, was watered down, and bitter. La Colombe coffee does not taste like this. Perhaps it was the fault of the barista. I also had a corn muffin. It was a good size and moist, but nothing exactly to write home about. Service was friendly and speedy. I spent around $ 6.50 in total, a bit too much for what it was. If you hang out in the area or come frequently, I guess Sagtown Coffee may be a nice place to chill for the afternoon. Maybe the original location in Sag Harbor is better.

Best coffee spot in Montauk. Easy. Came in here this morning with my wife and brother in law. I’d heard it was a new spot, and not being blown away with Left Hand’s offerings, decided to swing by… It’s a nice little location, tucked away in an alley that’s small, but relaxed in downtown Montauk. Nice seating arrangements and espresso bar. I got the doppio espresso and it was great. Hot, flavorful, and strong. My wife and brother in law got the Caramel Macchiato. I tasted theirs and it was delicious. Really flavorful Sagtown also has iced offerings of a LOT of menu items, which is great for variety. A lot of places only offer the basics, but iced espresso is a very nice touch. Definitely my new go-to for coffee in town — swing by and check them out!

Such an awesome location right behind the pizza place in the heart of Montauk and right across from the beach! They have a great selection of iced teas and even have almond milk! If you’re in Montauk, definitely stop by, you won’t be disappointed!

Stumbled upon this new coffee shop which is an outpost of the larger one in Sag Harbor. You get there through a back alley behind the stores or walk through Cynthia Rowley. This place is fantastic! Great quality coffee, wonderful service, and a great vib. With the summer crazy lines and chaos Montauk has, my strong suggestion is go there before the best kept secret in Montauk is discovered.
