Absolutely amazing! Grass fed beef makes these burgers great! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. A must to eat here!

3.5 stars. It’s a great place to go for a quick lunch if you are craving a burger! They literally only have burgers and fries so don’t expect anything more but they have definitely mastered their small menu. I got the kids burger with about 8(free) toppings. For $ 3.97 it was a delicious and filling meal. It tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. The service was fast and I liked their shoe string fries too. I would definitely come back.

I went here on Sunday with a friend because I was craving a burger. Since I am organic and gluten free, I was looking forward to trying this place. However, they do not have gluten free bread and the only thing that is organic is the burger and the cheese… oh and milk and some drinks. Anyway, I had to order a burger with cheese with tomato wrapped in ice berg lettuce. I was a little concerned how about where the produce came from but I was hungry I decided not to think about it. I try to avoid GMOs like the plague if possible. The French fries were thin and kind of oily. They tasted just ok. I was not impressed with the food and will not be going back anytime soon. I am definitely more of a Bareburger kind of girl. On the plus side, the prices were decent and the inside was cozy.

We decided to try this being that there was no five guys nearby. We go in and I have the bbq double cheddar bacon burger and with fries. The burger was flavorful enough. I was able to taste everything induvidually — burger, sauce, onions, cheese and bacon. The fries unfortunately weren’t all that. They weren’t crispy and were kind of bland. That could be explained since the entire menu is built around fresh and organice ingredients. The staff were nice and they bring your food to you as opposed to five guys where you go back to the counter. This location is very spacious so even on a busy night there is room to spare. This place is great of you want your body to tell you«you’ve made a good choice eating here» healthwise but you’ll taste the difference in the lack of grease and flavor from five guys or similar spots because of the all organic touch. This is also great if for vegans and vegetarians as they’re menu caters to that too.

They grind the beef here. It’s organic grass fed and free range to-boot… And for just under $ 10 you get a double bacon cheeseburger with your choice of as many of the 12 toppings on the board including caramelized onions. The fries are cooked in olive oil… Which while a healthier option, it does not get my fries crunchy enough. So here I am in it cot the carnage only.

Went here today for lunch. I really appreciate their approach, offering grass fed beef and other ingredients of high quality. it’s fast food but good fast food, and the staff was terrific. We each only had a burger, no sides or anything else, but the burgers were good. I was impressed and will be glad to return.

A great and healthy burger joint. Burgers come from grass fed organic beef which are never frozen. Two patties on a bun with your choice of toppings, cheese and bacon never disappoints. Their fries are very good too, cooked in olive oil and quite crunchy and not too salty. They also have grilled cheese for the kids and great milk shakes. Tons of room to sit, they will bring the food to your table when ready so you dont need to hover by the registers. There is a parking lot out back if you cant score a meter out front. Quick, easy, and great food. easy win for me.

My first Elevation experience. Not much to say here but the Elevation Burger(I got my double cheese with lettuce, tomato and fried onions) was damn good. It took a few minutes to get mine to-go(they make everyone’s burger to order) and it wasn’t exactly cheap, like $ 7 for one burger, but it was good. Knowing that the food is quality and organic makes me wanna come back despite the steep prices. Ha, ordering was a little tricky at first – every burger comes plain so you must add on anything and everything extra you want – but college grads can easily get the hang of it. See you soon.

Decided to give it a try while traveling. Very modern look but a bit unkempt. The Elevation Burger(add cheddar and bacon) was VERY good. Fries were good too. Generous portions. Highly recommend. Two downsides: 1. Had to wait about 10 minutes. They mistakenly made my order to go so it sat for a few minutes. Honest mistake. No biggie. 2. The guy in charge of fries kept eating fries…

I am so caught in the middle about this place. Very cheap BUT the flavours were slacken. There are two veggie burger options, which were juicy, but small patties. The topping choices seem so amazing before hand, but once on the burger i wasn’t that impressed. I got the Veggie burger #1, for $ 4.20 and cheese, jalapeños, onions, caramelized onions(what a let down) and the elevation burger sauce which i barely could tell what it was. I wasn’t impressed but it did taste alright. Soggy burger bun too. nothing special about it, very thin and soggy. i don’t know how else to say it. The fries were also what were keeping in the middle of liking this place. They were soggy and thin, but fresh. how fresh do i mean? Well, so fresh that you can actually see the people putting a potato into a hand press and chopping them up. This intrigued me but like i said they were soggy. Ill give them this – my two meat eating friends said the burgers were great, that you can actually taste a difference! Ehh. im not so sure about this place.

I was in the area and wanted to find a quick place to stop and pick up dinner. This seemed like a good option since I knew it would be relatively fast and looked pretty good. All the burgers are grass fed, organic, and free range and despite that, the prices are not bad. I got a burger with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and elevation sauce. The burger was good, but I didn’t think it was anything amazing. The best part was the cheese which was nice and sharp. The elevation sauce wasn’t that impressive or interesting. The most disappointing thing for me was the burger itself. I expected it to be really flavorful and juicy but it wasn’t. I think it was also cooked a little more then I would prefer. I tried a little of the burger patty on its own, without the bun or toppings and it didn’t have a lot of flavor. The«fresh fries» are cooked in olive oil and you can taste the freshness and olive oil flavor. I wasn’t a big fan of them though. I thought they should have been slightly crispier and had a bit more salt. Overall, I like the concept, but didn’t find the food to be anything special. The flavors and seasoning were underwhelming for both things I tried.

The cheeseburger was pretty good. Tasted like a yummy fast food style burger. I did not care for the fries at all. They were thin, limp, and not too tasty. In addition I tried their homemade cookies and they were fantastic. Interesting texture with oatmeal, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Yum. I would come here again, but I’m not in any rush.

Yes! Grass-fed burgers that don’t cost a million dollars. Plus olive oil fried french fries? Yes, please. Always get the Elevation Burger with the lettuce wrap and a bunch of toppings(get the balsamic mustard!). Delicious every time. Only gripe? The cashier can never explain the Elevation Sauce. I’ve asked twice and both times the convo goes like this: «What’s the elevation sauce?» «It’s tomato based» «What does it taste like?» «It’s tangy» «So it’s like ketchup?» «Not really» «What’s it like?» «We can’t tell you that» Seriously? There has to be a better way to explain the crazy sauce, right?

Well this is certainly a pleasant and different twist on fast food. Let’s actually not call it fast food as it would be unfair to lump Elevation Burger in with the McDonalds, Burger King, and the Wendy’s of the world. This was my first visit to Elevation Burger, and it won’t be my last. The service was inviting and friendly. At least two things stand out. First, I asked a gentlemen, who turned out to be the manager or owner, about the burgers. I told him it was our first visit, and he asked whether we would like to try their fresh, organic homemade chocolate chip cookies. These cookies are sold at the register, and he gave us two packs no charge to welcome us. Second, as we were about to clear our tray, one of the staff was walking by and asked whether he could take care of the tray and our minor mess. This is most certainly not typical fast food service, but then again we’re not calling it fast food, right? The food was tasty and fresh. I had the Elevation Burger(sans bun and wrapped in lettuce with tomatoes and pickles), the wife had a regular burger(avec bun), and the kids each had grilled cheese. We also ordered fries and a vanilla milkshake with Oreos(the kids). The grass-fed burgers were well-cooked and super fresh. They weren’t very seasoned with salt/pepper, but I guess that’s part of the healthy eating image of the restaurant. The kids loved the grilled cheese, which was served on round, grilled bread(2 bottom halves of a bun?). The fries were excellent; crispy shoestrings cooked in olive oil. The milkshake was fine, but certainly not in the same league as the frozen custard at Shake Shack(love Shake Shack). On that subject, while the burgers at Elevation Burger do not compare to a Double Shack burger, Elevation burger isn’t trying to compete with Shake Shack; its goal is to serve premium organic food that is cooked in a more heart healthy way. I think it achieves it’s goal, and I will be back.

Fast food doesn’t have to be fat food! This little gem is conveniently located on Bloomfield Ave. and has tons of veg options and all the beef used comes from cows who are grass-fed(grass-fed cows = happier cows = tastier burgers). The service here is fast *and* friendly(usually you only get one of the two at fast food joints). When the girl working the counter offered us a loyalty card and we said we’d been there before, but didn’t pick one up, she punched the card twice for us. SONICE! The food is always hot and fresh, and their fries are deadly. Lots of drink selection too.

Love elevation burger! great place to indulge on a humanly produced patty! Grass fed & organic beef. They also offer organic bacon :) satisfying shakes and scrumptious frys. If you like toppings on that; your in luck! Tons of burger accoutrements to chose from. Spacious seating, staff is so so. Only critique is that they use olive oil to fry there French frys. Olive oil isn’t suitable for high temperature cooking. Turns into a saturated fat :(other than that I always recommend to find establishment to friends

By far my favorite burger, the taste of the grass fed beef is outstanding. After a change of ownership and brief closure Elevation Burger has hit the ground running! My visit to this location was just as expected from my past experiences, great food, friendly service and efficient environmental practices. Elevation uses the highest quality 100% USDA certified organic burgers from free range grass fed cattle that’s ground on premises and that fits right in to my philosophy. My first thought when I think burger and here’s why: Grain finished or fed cattle have significantly higher levels of antibiotics and saturated fats, while their grass fed counterparts have higher levels of Omega 3’s(the good stuff). The cattle are much more healthy, due to the fact they eat a species appropriate diet. Free range cows graze and lead a less stressful life not penned up living in their own filth. So you get what you pay for at Elevation Burger not some wanna be restaurant menu… +No goat cheese beet salad with walnuts, just great burgers! +No seafood, just great burgers! +No dopey pretentious burger toppings to kill the flavor of the grass fed beef, just great burgers! +No «Happy Days» theme, just great burgers! What this place does is focus on what the name implies BURGERS! They do not pretend to be anything other then what the name says so no need for CIA trained chefs, this is not rocket science or fine dining. Providing the staff adequate training on food safety and how to flip burgers made from superior beef is a simple affair, while others may boast about all the side menu nonsense Elevation bangs ‘em out with a clear well executed menu. Your not going to find seafood, pie in the sky ice cream flavors or be subjected to looping videos and bad music, just a modern clean environmental conscious approach to the product and people they serve. So go ahead and have a double with real aged cheddar, a side of fresh cut crisp shoestring fries(cooked in olive oil) and sprinkled with sea salt or without, your heart will thank you. I don“t always eat burgers, but when I do… I prefer Elevation. Stay healthy my friends!

I’m hesitatant to share my review considering I HATE lines, but I’m sure my review will not change the economics of Montclair and Elevation Burger that much. I absolutely love the idea of Elevation Burger(which took WAY too long) regarding healthy burgers. Canada did a similar thing with Hero Burgers which is comparable, but I digress. I probably should also preface this by saying, I don’t like beef and never have. But these burgers were amazingly light, have very little fat, melts in your mouth and will leave you full but wanting more. One negative, IF I MUST: it could probably use a BIT more salt, but burger purists say a little bit of salt and pepper is all a burger needs. I may have to change my view to a purist considering I thoroughly enjoyed my burger and french fries. Now here’s the other thing— olive oil loses its nutrients when its heated so I don’t think we are helping our approved food groups with the fries– but listen, it was tasty, not greasy, crispy, and a necessary best friend to a burger. Definitely healthier than the fries offered elswhere! Loved the aged cheddar cheese– not overbearing, perfect flavor. The veggie burger(yes, its allowed… it took a while for my husband to understand), was also very good– vegetables that had texture and was hearty. Although it’s not cooked on a grill– I think I saw it come out of a large restaurant-version of a toaster(you know, the ones that work cafetarias have or at the nice little Mariott Inn’s for the continental breakfast… okay, you get it). Anyways– definitely, definitely stop by. I ordered the Elevation burger(double patty, lettuce, tomatoes and the sauce). It’s a good sauce, I just wanted more kick and will definitely getting jalapenos added. The fact I left feeling healthy, and that I didn’t need to count calories on my necessary post-dinner dessert is really a true testament for all health conscious foodies that this is a place to visit! FYI: Much fanfare about it being halal. I am pretty sure it is, although I never asked– I’m almost 100% certain that my husband and countless friends who observe have asked. I just know its religiously inpolite to inquire ;-) JK(inside joke for my moslams). Anyways, ENJOY!(but please dont stall the lines– get the elevation burger with jalapenos and fries, and maybe a shake, and pay)!
