Wow. where to start… FIRSTOFF, I have no clue HOW this kid was even hired. Guess that one slipped through the cracks during the interview process. CHRIS was very unprofessional concerning his conversational skills at the register. He first FORCED my friend to give her email after she repeatedly stated that she did NOT want to give out her email. Chris said«I just need an email because it helps me, even if its not a real one.» My friend felt uncomfortable and gave an email address anyway. Then when I proceeded to the register, the first thing out of his mouth was, «Do you even listen to iron madden or are you just wearing the shirt…» The way he said it was extremely condescending. Here are some examples of appropriate conversation with a customer; «How are you doing?», «Did you find everything okay?», «How is the weather?» ect. Already extremely offended and annoyed, I open my wallet to pay. He asked me credit or debit, I asked if I could do 10 $ cash, and the rest of my debit card. CHRIS said to me «Its a free country isn’t it? You can do whatever you want» I felt that was also extremely inappropriate because he does not know my views on this country or political beliefs. I feel for the people who have to encounter his annoying behavior on a daily basis. I dont believe I will be returning to the montclair location.
