really good chicken! make sure you ask for the
«white meat» which is the more lean cut. i always get the chicken quesadilla and I’m always satisfied.

I went here for Chicken & Shrimp Tostada. They gave me Chicken & Shrimp with tortilla. I asked them and they told me they no longer have the menu option available, so gave me with tortilla and asked me to buy the hard shell tostada. I demanded a refund and the server told me that they no longer had it, and ended up asking the manager to give me a free hard shell. They misadvertised and refused to give me a money back. They still had the menu up for unavailable option and didn’t give a warning before I put it in the order. I used to work for retail and if the store misadvertised, customers are entitled to get the item for free. They didn’t do that and instead asked me to buy the hard shell. The worst food retail. Will never go back and will advise others to do the same.

Thank you Hector for the amazing customer service… Employees like yourself makes us want to return and eat here always.

Tried to buy something over the weekend. I say try because they seem to like to play games with their hours. Sign in window said that the «dining room» is open until 10pm. I was there around 9pm and the doors were already locked. This is the second time this has happened to me at this location. They need to get their act together and post the correct hours.

This store is too harshly rated. It was clean super. Hector was super friendly behind the register. my food was more fresh than the other el pollo I went to in Costa Mesa last week
This is a pretty good el pollo if you ask me.

Customer service was ok, speed was reasonable, place looked dirty and the food was poorly made. Not undercooked or anything just prepared sloppy. Never again…

Okay, my chips taste like churros? Using the same deep fryer for the chips and churros is extremely gross. Shame on you!

I like this location! The staff is friendly and they honor coupons. I come here frequently because their chicken is usually juicy and not burnt. I’ve done catering with them many times and they’ve always been prompt and helpful!

Worst Pollo Loco around here. The staff is always super rude and in a bad mood. The tables and floors are always dirty and no one ever cleans. It’s disgusting I am not sure how the managers let thus go on.

I love Pollo Loco, don’t get me wrong, but this place has crummy customer service. They don’t even wait to see if there’s anything missing in your order! I understand that when it’s closing time you wish to just drop everything and close because I work with customers but these people here are just plain rude. They need a serious attitude check.

Horrible customer service! The employees here are rude and NEVER get your order correct and have you repeat it like 5 times and still can’t get it right.

I get the chicken bowl here. It’s fast cheap and seems relatively healthy. The only downside is that this location is always packed at lunchtime. Good luck getting a parking space!

Since the first moment I walked in the trainer, I think her name is Teresa, and trainee gave me a genuine smile and welcomed me. They always maintained eye contact with me. They made me feel very comfortable. I would love to have employees like them.

Worst pollo loco EVER! They never seem to have anything! No chiles serranos and now they wanna say they don’t have the tostadas for the tostada salad?! Wtf?! That’s like saying, they have no chicken! Like this is pollo loco! Makes no damn sense! I should have known better than to come here

Don’t ever call this El Pollo Loco for a catering order. If you call you’ll be extremely frustrated with their stupid automated system. It if you hit option three they will refer you to go back to their website. when you go to their website the Website will not allow you to place a catering order. so then you’ll get frustrated like I did call the phone number again and hit option number 4 which gives you a live person inside the El pollo local restaurant. Once you talk to a live person in the restaurant they will probably tell you that they’re not taking any catering orders for that day. so save your time and your frustration go somewhere else to order catering.

I grew up going to pollo loco just like some free up at mc Donald’s. So the menu and the food for me is almost encrypted in my brain.
The location is not my favorite. It’s right in the intersection corner and it had to entrances. During rush hour it gets really confusing as to were to go through since two lines form. It would be an easy fix if they had cones or arrows during peak times.
The food is good. I love the rice hear and I love the salsa. The chicken sadly I’ve had twice received undercooked. I normally go through drive through so it’s frustrating to find out when I’m home. I also loved the crunchy tacos but all other locations seem to have it expect this one :/​
The service is good. Based on the drive through experience only as I have not had a chance to go and dine in. The drive through is really fast but I think that’s why they miss there attention to detail. I’ve gotten wrong drinks twice.
I keep coming because it reminds me of home and the other nearest pollo loco is not so near.
Overall simple improvements but a good restaurant.

I was hungry! Quick snack on the go. Drive through was a bit busy but not to lonf of a wait. The girl at the window seemed to be behond and couldnt keep up with ourders. Oh well none the less i got my quesadilla and back on the road!

There really isn’t much else to say about this place that hasn’t been said. I really wish I could give it negative stars but obviously you can’t. I really didn’t even want to leave a review but it crossed my mind that maybe if this place got a hundred 1 star reviews then corporate would do something about it.
I’ve lived in Montebello my whole life so i’ve been going to this location on and off for a while now, more off than on. That’s mainly because every time I go i’m disappointed with the service, food and the over all quality of the experience.
I’ll touch on a few of the downfalls of this store. They seem to almost always run out of chicken after 8pm. I know it sounds weird because chicken is in their name but they have seriously ran out of chicken on 4 of my 10 visits to this place. Second, the dining area of this place is just plain filthy. Their are flies and food spread out all over the place and the salsa bar, along with the ice machine, are pretty much always empty.
The quality of the chicken and sides is below sub par standards. A few of my friends have gotten food poisoning from the under cooked chicken I my self have had many battles in the restroom due to their «Ultimate Chicken Bowls», yah right, it’s more like a «Ultimate Diarrhea Bowl».
I don’t want to waste anymore time on these guys. I really hope everyone that works here loses their job as corporate purges this store off all the bad things.

This place sucks, negative zero stars would be more like it to rate this place. There are flies buzzing everywhere, the salsa bar is a complete disaster, I scooped some of it onto my chicken tostada salad and a big chunk of tomato was in it. The staff are a bunch of teenage lops who discuss their personal life while serving customers. Stay clear of this place, the location in pico rivera is a lot better.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars.
This restaurant shouldn’t be named Pollo Loco and the sooner it closes down the better. I’ve had so many bad experiences here that I don’t eat at this location anymore and when I get the craving for actual Pollo Loco I drive to the Pico Rivera restaurant.
The spicy avocado salsa has no avocado taste and wouldn’t even burn the tongue of a gringo. The pollo bowls have far less chicken than they should so I have chosen to order burritos from here but the customer service is really bad. On one of my visits I remember upon entering the cashier told me the food needed to be ordered to go because the restaurant was going to close in 30 minutes! Of course I told the cashier there was plenty of time for me to eat before the doors close so he said ok and as I began ordering the cashier wouldn’t make eye contact with me because he chose to wipe trays as I was ordering so I stopped ordering and asked him if he wanted to wipe the trays or take my order. He responded by telling me he could do both so I finished ordering and 11 minutes later my order was done.
In the past I’ve informed the different managers about the parking problem. I’ve gone to the restaurant around 1pm and every time the parking lot has been full but inside the restaurant there’s only 2 or 3 customers. Obviously the employees are using the parking lot and I know it sounds cruel to tell an employee to park outside but I told the manager by allowing the employee cars in the SMALL lot you’re not leaving spaces for customers like me. The choices are either Drive-​Thru or somewhere else and I’ve always chosen somewhere else.
Another thing I’d like to add is that in the lunch rush there is only one cashier and a line of usually 5 or 6 so expect your wait time to be a minimum of 20 minutes for burned chicken.
Definitely go eat somewhere else ZERO STARS for this Pollo Loco.
