I’m never disappointed when i come here. That orange chicken and chow mein are so freakin good. Portions are pretty big as well and the employees are friendly. Everytime I’m close by, i gotta stop-by and have my chinese fast food fix otherwise i can’t get it off of my head, and then once that happens, I’m not myself. And no one wants to see that lol anyways, their food is great is all

Ended up here since the 2 Panda Express locations we went to closed early on New Years Day. I’m not a big fan of Panda Express either, so I wasn’t expecting much from this place. I was surprised that the food here was a lot better than I expected. The noodles weren’t bad; and, I had the Orange Chicken and a shrimp dish(might have been honey walnut shrimp minus the walnuts!). Both were not bad… edible. I’d come back here for inexpensive, edible, large portions of «Chinese» fast food. Buy a lot or bring cash… you’ll get charged 75¢ for totals under $ 15 if you pay by credit card.

i actually really like this place, i really like the chow mein, i would give it a 5 but its super greasy but i like that as well, but when im down with the box i dont haha. a grease ring around my lips orange chicken is good, egg rolls are good, i dont normally get the fried rice cause i enjoy the noodles so much but its nice cause its a bit dry that soaks up the grease. beef broccoli is good, i like the eggplant when they have it, for sure prefer this over panda express, which is opening across the way,

Beware credit card customers. Minimum $ 15 or they will charge you $ 75 cents. So i wouldn’t get charged the service fee i bought two egg rolls if you can even call them that. All they had inside was cabbage

Been here a bunch of times especially my freshman year since it was close by. I really like their prices and their food is pretty good, love the portions. I usually get really full from their combo A, which is just chow mein or fried rice or you can get half of each and one item. I like to get the chow mein and orange chicken, really hits the spot and its a little over $ 5. Everybody else I see them get the combo b or c which lets you get more than one item, I would too but I don’t want to be THATFULL lol and its only like a few more dollars. I weekly like the service, the ladies seem really nice, I’m Asian but I don’t speak Chinese so I just speak in English and they understand, one lady looks mean but she actually looks nice. They have a lot of tables but there’s times where it can be really packed. Also great for groups.

I have tasted a lot of Chinese fast food places but I think this is the best so far. I am in love with the coconut shrimp here! The flavor is so good. Best coconut shrimp I’ve ever tasted. Also u get a really good amount of food for a cheap price! We tend to come here a lot due to the fact that me and my mom can share an order for super cheap and its good food. I recommend you trying the chow mein, fried rice, coconut shrimp, and bbq pork.

The food is good, your typical Chinese fast food take out. Greasy yet satisfying and reasonable price. The people who work there however are very rude. At least respect your customers who are helping your business succeed.

For a fast food Chinese joint is good compare to other ones. They just got 2 vegetable options besides their vegetable eggrolls.

All good here and is a busy place. Never had the squirts here. Nice veggies. Two item deal with fried rice and chow mein = $ 6.49 + tax. Great spot.

Lets make it simple PROS: good amount of food, good taste, cheap price CONS: dont show up late, food gets greasy left throughout the day, won’t make something if its only for 1 person and its late, charge for card use

Finally found good chinese food. Food is fresh. Doesn’t look like it’s been sitting there for hours.

Cheap greasy Chinese food served here at Chinatown Express No 51! pros: big portions inexpensive cons: very greasy cash only(surcharge for card use) poor quality food did I mention, very greasy? As much as I love having an Americanized-chinese take-out establishment in Monterey Park(sometimes I need a break from all those authentic Chinese restaurants), I rather make the longer drive out to Panda Express in Rosemead because Chinatown Express No 51 just doesn’t cut it for me.

This place is GOOD for being FASTTAKEOUT. I would drive 20 minutes out to grab a bite here.

I need to update this but forget to. I called in the next day and asked to talk to the manager/owner. He asked when we visit and what we order and found his copy of the receipt. He told us what time he will be in so asked us to come back. I sent my husband in and upon seeing him asking for the owner, the lady smile and asked if he came because he got charged the wrong amount. The owner just gave back the difference in Cash and apologized. Every well and I come back here for the soup once in a while…

Best Chinese food around. I still take the 15 min drive just to have them when I do crave Chinese food!

I have been coming to Chinatown express for many years I can remember. The food is really good but some of choices of food need more flavor in the food. It’s hard to find good Chinese restaurant serving good food the other place serve good Chinese food is Panda Express but it’s overrated..

If I can give no stars, I totally would! This place is a random hole in the wall and in a very good location. I got a combo plate with orange chicken and chow mein and it was so greasy and so tasteless! I literally only took a few bites and threw everything away and I am not someone who is wasteful! Stay away!

I’m not a fan. Yes, cheap Chinese takeout is supposed to be grease, but this place makes you feel gross inside. I got the chow mein, char tsu, and chicken. The chow mein was really oily, and the noodles were a bit on the soft side. There was an okay amount of veggies, considering it was Chinese takeout. The char tsu was probably the best out of the bunch. It was relatively okay in texture. The chicken was soggy, and tasted like it was left out under the light bulb much longer than the 4 hour limit. It had too much skin, and it was really fatty. To make things worse, the inside was kind of ghetto, and some teenage girl walked in and started soliciting all the customers for change. Not a very pleasant dining experience. But at least they were fairly quick, and I didn’t see anything disgusting like bugs, so I suppose it’s okay. Price was decent. It wasn’t the cheapest I’ve seen, but it isn’t anything to complain about.
