KEBABS. I swear this is the new food trend, along with the forever food trend of ice cream variation. Asian food on sticks is definitely growing. Since the night market hype a few years ago, Asian street food has become a thing. I reviewed the kebab place in Rowland awhile back, because it was the first time I’ve been to a kebab place but now that I’ve been here… I want to take back a star from there… LOL. If you’re hungry and you like food on sticks with a hint of Asia. This is the place to go. The AYCE lunch deal from 12 – 4 for $ 15.99 is seriously hard to beat. The selection is huge, the quality isn’t bad, and you’ll eat your money’s worth REALQUICK. Normally 10 lamb kebabs are $ 12.99. At the Rowland kebab restaurant it is $ 14.99. Dudeeeeeeee. Need I say more. The quality of the meat is decent. It’s not«high quality» but what did you expect. It’s AYCE. Tell me if you know of a high end AYCE restaurant, I’d love to know(°°) Overall I thought it was yummy. There was a big selection of kebabs to choose from considering its AYCE, we got all the meats(lamb, beef, pork, chicken), chicken heart, chicken gizzard, lamb heart, kidney, vegetables, squid, and even man tou(white bun). Some notable items: Meats — lamb/beef/chicken/pork(5⁄5): just the basic meat skewers were all pretty good! They were not overly seasoned when served and they were all very tender! The pork and chicken were really tender and soft as well, not tough at all. Those were good without any extra seasoning as well! Man tou/white bun(5⁄5): so addicting. The Chinese white buns are so good they get hard on the outside but the inside is super soft and it has a hint of sweetness to the bun. Some might think why. it’s just a bun… but it was like my childhood right there, ugh. Vegetables(3⁄5): the veggies were very standard. Nothing extraordinary. I wouldn’t suggest getting the eggplant, it dries up and gets discolored… the potato slices were really bland as well. Corns always a safe call! Green beans as well. Beef tendon(1⁄5): too soft, gets sticky after cooking it for too long. Honestly I think tendon should just stay in soup… Sausage(1⁄5): don’t be fooled. This is not Taiwanese/Chinese sausage. It is basically a slightly spiced hotdog. Nothing special and way too salty. As for the other stuff, it’s all preference! Personally I love chicken heart and chicken gizzard and those were yummmmmy. The restaurant is SMALL. 7 tables max, each table can fit around 4 to maybe 6 people if you squeeze in a booth. It fills up fast so expect to wait when it’s full, and the wait time is always uncertain since it is AYCE(only 12 – 4). Service was really good. The waitresses were nice and attentive. They filled my seasoning without me asking and knew when we wanted to order. Thoroughly impressed and satisfied. To end this review, get yourself an apple sidra to pair with your kebabs, or just a soda or beer, it totally hits the spot!

Came here today very disappointed. So now not only did they raise prices. But they now have a policy that there needs to be two diners for all you can eat. What a terrible way to treat loyal customers. DONOT Come here. Employees were taking up tables and eating in the main dining area. Didn’t even get up to apologize for their new policy.

I came here again on December 2015. I believe they mixed the other meats with the Lamb Kebab. There are about 40 – 50 percent of Lamb Kebab mixed. I will not come here again. Meanwhile I’ll report this issue to the Food and Drug Administration FDA for fraudulent labeled products.

Skewers are good but they need to turn on the ac. It gets so smoky inside it hurts my eyes. I like the really small white buns and the fish tofu. Lamb is good too!

What a great deal for AYCE lunch. I came with my dad and we pigged out on skewers. I really enjoyed the lamb meat and chicken skewers. The rest of the items were ok but not great. As everyone mentions the cooking contraption is really cool. The only thing I wish is the grill were a bit hotter because it takes a bit of time to cook the food.

All you can eat skewers for lunch! What’s not to like? :D Lots of options, such as beef, lamb, pork, chicken, seafood and veggies. The grill rotates by itself, so you don’t need to keep flipping the food. Pretty cool concept. Amazing spice mixture.

I wish there ayce is all day but it’s only from opening 12−4pm. Make sure you get there early before it opens to find a table because this place is tiny. We got there at 12:30 and we had to wait more than an hour to get a table. And in the summer it’s balls blazing If I didn’t really want to try it I wouldn’t waited here. They have a amazing amount of selection from lamb, beef, pork, chicken, vegetables. I like the lamb heart, intestine, buns, and corn the best. I don’t normally cook chicken since it’ll take to long and might overcook. Food can take a long time to cook since some parts of the fire cooks is stronger. Be careful of cooking intestine since the oil can make the fire go up. It’s nice that they have a variety of Asian drinks gourd, apple soda, beer and my favorite plum drink. If you eat here it’ll take about 2 hours before you get full since it’s hard to cook the food fast at the rate the grill rotates? It’s a really cool contraption though. I don’t think I would eat here again since with the total it’s more than 20 dollars with ayce I would only go if there was no line. Since everyone just eats here chills and hang out I saw a group of people stay there for about 3 hours.

You simply CAN’T beat the price! The lunch AYCE is such an amazing deal that I’m willing to ignore some not so awesome parts of the dining experience. The self serving concept is fun for the first round, and then it just became annoying. I wouldn’t come here with a large party cuz once the food is done, people are gonna finish it within minutes and then you gotta wait quite a while for the next round to be cooked. But again, with the low price, I can’t really complain. Def check out this place if you have a craving!

Really good deal! For $ 15.99 you get such an amazing variety in food. I absolutely love the little auto-rotate grill where you can set your skewers to cook over the hot coals. If you’re not ready to eat the food yet, you can keep the food warm on the upper portion of the grill. It’s pretty neat! For the AYCE, you can get chicken, beef, pork, lamb, squid, fish ball, tofu, corn, mushroom, quail eggs, chicken wings(fully cooked already FYI), rice cake, green bean, and other random animal parts you don’t normally eat haha. Between 4 of us, we had 100 skewers, which leads me to the service. The employees kept staring at us in disbelief that we ate so much, I’m assuming. It was a bit awkward but that didn’t stop us. What annoyed me was when one of my meats accidentally landed in my drink. The waitress just told me to simply fish out the meat, and hesitated to give us a new drink until we insisted that she give us a replacement drink. Oh well. :/For the price, I would love to keep coming back!

I loveee their lunch deal which is AYCE for $ 16. Such a good deal, except the place is really small, so if you don’t want to be waiting around, you better get there a little before they open. I came here a couple days ago for regular dinner, which wasn’t such a bad deal. They have Lamb skewers 10 for $ 13. It’s definitely not nearly as cheap as the AYCE, however it’s a good amount of food. The only thing is if you’d like beef or lamb, you have to order 10 pieces at once. And the whole table has to order 15 total before you can order. One thing to note is, I NEVER eat lamb, ever… it tastes extremely gamy or it’s like i’m whiffing in some fertilizer. However, on skewers, I find that Lamb actually tastes much better than beef because the beef gets really tough. And dipping it in the spicy pepper flakes makes it so delicious. However a downside is that the meat takes quite a while to cook, and you basically have to put the meal in the middle of the grill or it won’t cook… And I think the Pepper flakes bothered my stomach the next day because I always have a lot of pain after… but I think it’s worth the pain! looool. Also, there’s a little side parking lot, or you can just park on the street. And like many asian places, they don’t accept American Express, and I believe they only let you pay with one card. AND! Make sure you wear clothes you don’t care about, or have another pair to change into, because you’ll reek of charcoal after. Even your beautiful hair(mine was in a bun and still reeked). :(

If you come during lunch which ends at 4 pm, there is an AYCE deal for 15.99 per person. I always miss lunch for some reason, but honestly, I can’t even eat 15.99 worth of skewers. The workers speak little to no English, but that should NEVER be a reason not to be open-minded. I like this place for its creativity. The fire scares me a little, but I like the fear! Kidding. I think the whole concept of cooking your own skewers are pretty cool. Although it is cool, I am only giving it three stars because I feel like it lacks flavor. It is just something you have to flavor by yourself with the chili powder. Also, I really wish they had more available seats. Understandable since it’s a small place and they’d need more grills though. Despite what I just said, I really think this place is worth the try for the experience.

I came here once before and brought my friend back because she loves kabobs. We came for the AYCE lunch for $ 15.99 each. The price has risen but that’s typical when they gotta make money considering kabobs get pricey when you buy them by individual skewers. For a pretty decent price, this place is worth it. Each round, you can order 10 skewers each. We ended up having 30 each and was way too stuffed. My favorites were the pork kabobs, pork intestines, mushrooms, string beans, and squid. When you’re hungry, the first round or so makes you very impatient but it’s worth it. The place is small so try to come when they open so you don’t have to wait. Since it takes awhile to cook, the wait may be quite long.

Love it here! The waitress was really nice, meat came out super fast and seasoned well. I tried«bull whip» for the first time. I paid $ 15.99 and ate 26 skewers X_X There’s plenty of free parking on the street.

Came here for their AYCE Lunch special for 15.99, between 12pm-4pm. This is great because I do not know of any other place here that offers AYCE skewers. And as you know, skewers are pretty expensive in LA. You get a great variety to choose from. Plenty of lamb, beef, pork, chicken, as well as vegetables. What’s cool about this place is that their grill is pretty advanced. They have this magnetic thing that automatically rotates your skewers so you get it evenly cooked. Writing about this just made me hungry again. Come try it out! Service is quick!

We came here for AYCE lunch special for 15.99 from 12pm-4pm. There are lots of variety to choose from. They have lamb, chicken, pork, beef, and various vegetables and fish balls. The service is pretty quick. I would make sure to order in groups of 10 because the meat cooks pretty fast and if you still want more just keep ordering. For the 3 of us, we had 68 skewers in total and I’m assuming each skewer is about 1 – 3 dollar range(depending on which skewer), so we saved a lot! Basically with tax and tip its about 20 per person, which is not that bad for the amount of skewers you have. Make sure to try the beef whip!

$ 15.99AYCE lunch. The quality of the food served does not match the price. All the beef, chicken, pork, and lamb skewers were composed almost entirely of fat. When i bit into the small amounts of meat that was left from the cooking, it tasted excessively salty. Normally this would be offset by rice, but the waitresses were being particularly difficult to flag down. Some of the veggies were sour, particularly the eryngii mushroom. The food was actually so unappetizing that I couldn’t even eat until I was full. I left feeling very unsatisfied, and with a bad taste in my mouth.

This place is great. But I need to take a long time to wait the food done lol haha!!! I almost used 3 hours to fill up my stomach. Haha! The drinks cannot refilled :(that’s pity but they provided the water. Not bad’xdd It’s pretty fit for 3 – 4 people, but don’t bring too much people to have a meal in here because you need to wait some time the food cooked. Somehow I feel pretty stuffy in this store.

I came here on December 7, 2014 for my friend’s bday lunch. Since this is the winter time and we were drinking beer, I did not see an AC problem like what folks were mentioning from previous posts. In short, I gave this place a 5 because of the innovative grill and concept is unique and pretty damn cool. Here is my breakdown. Location/parking/venue This place is located near the corner of Garvey and Garfield. Unfortunately, parking spaces seem rather limited so you would need to find street parking or be a douche and park at the TS Emporium Plaza nearby. The venue is pretty small so I would suggest to come early for lunch to avoid the wait. Concept: You order the skewers and cook it yourself. The grill is pretty neat. You place skewers on grill and it would rotate the meat. Food: You have the option to do Ayce at 15.99 or do minimum of 10 skewers per person($ 15). Naturally we did the AYCE. We ordered so many skewers from the list and they have so many varieties: * chicken wings — took longer get to cook * chicken kebab * chicken heart — not bad * beef intestine * string beans, corn, potatoes * lamb * fish tofu * beef * pork To top it off we ordered three pitchers of beer and spent almost 3 hours here. This place is pretty awesome. Service The service isn’t bad. The folks here came by frequently to check up on us.

No waiting on Saturday at 3:30pm. What a deal for AYCE for $ 14. Just the two us had 52 sticks of variety. Great motorized grill that helps you turn your skewers for you so you won’t need to turn your 10 skewers at a time. We had Lamb, pork, beef, sausage, corn, mushroom, tofu, squid, shrimp, chicken, chicken wing and chicken gizzard. The beef was pretty fatty. They waitress had to come and help remove the fatty ones because of the huge fire shooting out from the coals. The side dishes were just right, just enough. Probably would give them 3 ½ stars, a/c was not cool, needed refills on water a few times. Took the bottle and did not return with refill。Corn was quite dry and dead, beef had too much fat, mushroom was pretty dry and old. Good deal for AYCE in Monterey Park.
