Five stars for the beer selection. Three stars for the food. Big portions of decent bar food. Good place for daddy to drink and the kids to stuff their faces.

Went here for my birthday, 1st of all they don’t do anything special for the birthday person. I was disappointed in service and I believe the burger was a frozen burger… Other people with me did enjoy the food they received which was fish & chips, pulled pork sandwich and short rib grilled cheese.

Exceptional amount of beers on tap. Unfortunately, they were in the process of repairing a ventilation system so I was unable to experience it’s full potential. Will try here again.

My husband came here to meet a friend for lunch. We were seated right away and our Waiter came over to take our drink order. It wasn’t to busy so the drinks came out pretty quickly. We got our order in and about 15 – 20 minutes later our food came out. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was amazing. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy and the pulled pork was smokey and delicious. It was a little in the peppery side so that’s my only caution. The French fries were great too. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pretty mellow. Nothing too great or fancy. Kid welcome. Good beer list.

Living so close, we’ve been to Monterey countless times but never eaten here until recently. My wife and I tried the giant pretzel that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives and it was awesome. We also shared clam chowder and the bacon chicken ranch sandwich. Those had great flavor was priced fairly for the portions you receive. I didn’t study the beer menu but they had bunch different brews for everyone’s liking. We will definitely be going back.

Stopped by here for a quick drink while I waited to meet up with friends. Great selection of beer on tap, and all reasonably priced. I didn’t order any food but the menu looked good and well priced. I would definitely come here again.

We have stopped into Cannery Row Brewing a few times. We love the food and beer selection. They even carry my favorite cider! Woodchuck Pear! Not many places cary it! The food is pricey and not the greatest portion sizes but it’s good! We have a love/hate relationship with the live music. It’s so nice and refreshing that they have live musicians! And the music they play is great! But it is SO loud! You’re constantly shouting across the table to have a conversation.

After being turned away at a restaurant on the bay with mediocre food(I’ve eaten there before) for having a 4 pound dog, we chose CRBC. The food was great, the service better and our little dog wasn’t frowned upon. Makes you feel at home, when you’re miles away. Kudos to you CRBC!

Not my first choice for a bar. Had to have a full course in order to be seated in main area. Be mindul that the bar was full but main wasnt, so no seats for just cocktails and apps in the main area. Will never give my money to this place. Sly mc flys it is! One star because it was open.

Downers: Never enough seating near the band/bar on Fri. & Sat. nights. Hard to even get to the bar on Fri. & Sat. night. Late night menu lacking in things that are remotely healthy, vegetarian(some creative offerings, but could be better). Fries had decent texture & temperature but tasted nothing like potatoes, left a bad aftertaste.(I think they were fried in old oil.) They make unnecessary use of straws(one more nasty, long-lasting thing we leave behind in our environment.) Sliders are served on buns that are too sweet. Acoustics could be a lot better for both conversation and music. Restrooms accessible via a dark desert highway to the basement. ___________________________________________________________ Knocked off a star from my review. This«brewing company» that doesn’t brew beer is apparently now, in some cases, refusing to seat customers who don’t first promise to spend a minimum of $ 20, and get this – they will not seat a single woman who is there by herself. Sorry, CRBC – discriminating against solo diners/drinkers is very uncool. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You’ve become nothing better than a tourist trap. Locals I know are taking their business elsewhere. It’s a shame. The place is aesthetically pleasing. The music is often good. They have a great variety of(usually) cold beer. Staff is pretty professional, often friendly(though they’re good at avoiding eye contact when they want/need to be aloof). And they have cool, old-looking stuff on display.

Meh, I had high hopes but was let down pretty hard. After traveling for several hours with my family I was looking forward to a decent beer and a nice meal. Right of the bat the waiter was rude, probably because I had kids. He seemed rather put off that I was taking a while to decide on a beer so I ordered a water. The food was pretty disappointing too, the presentation was actually worse than the food but it looked so bad that it was hard to enjoy. In a tourist town like this you’re sure to find something better.

Do yourself a favor and stick to the beer and wings. Part of a large party here the other night, a large number of us got ill afterwards. A co-worker got a fried chicken piece that was literally raw inside. The sliders were good but also undercooked. Perhaps it was because our party was so large, but in my opinion if you can’t serve a large group(50) then don’t make the commitment. Beer selection was great, ambiance is fine, but wasn’t impressed with the main courses. Note: this review is from three years ago(2013).

This place has really good grub! And over 50+ on tap beer selections. The atmosphere is not like a bar but like a hangout kick back and relax place. We had a 15⁄20 min wait went by fast and were able to decide what we wanted to order before we sat to eat. The only thing holding this back from 5 stars is our server Tyler. He didn’t say his name, no personality, and acted like whatever wth everything. We asked to get a burger cut in half(not split, we both ordered our own) and he said«uhhhh, how about I give you a steak knife.» Ok no biggie but the rest of the servers around us were awesome! We got stuck with the whatever guy. Over all please try this place it will not disappoint! And the only reason I knew his name, was because it was on the receipt

This place was nothing short from amazing. The décor and environment is very lively and there is so much to look at. The staff are all very friendly and prompt. They have a huge beer list for those beer enthusiasts out there! We ordered calamari and nachos for starters which was devoured. The calamari didn’t come with tartar or cocktail sauce, but their sauce was even more special. And the batter wasn’t just ordinary either. There was also fried pepperoncinis! Their chips for their nachos was fresh and reminded us of chilaquiles! It wasn’t soggy at all. The fish and chips were off the hook! I didn’t expect anything less especially from Monterery. The short rib grilled cheese was enjoyable and the provolone cheese burnt pieces was addicting. The oreo malt shake was the best shake I’ve ever tasted! It was creamy, thick, and didn’t have the after taste of malt. It was heavenly. The strawberry shortcake was mediocre after having awesome entrees. The biscuit wasn’t warm and we had some pieces that weren’t cooked all the way. It also would have been better with the strawberry syrup drizzled on it. Overall, this place is a great place to go if you’re looking for a great beer list and some awesome food! The service is also very quick!

My boyfriend and I passed by Cannery Row Brewing Company on a Friday afternoon after visiting the aquarium. It looked like a fun place to try lunch at and wasn’t crowded. We sat at the bar and our waitress came by shortly after to take our orders. I got a cider and Cali burger and the boy got a beer and a grilled cheese with ribs. The service was quick and while I enjoyed my Cali burger, the grilled cheese with ribs didn’t quite live up to the boy’s expectations. We enjoyed the break from walking around Cannery Row and then headed back out to explore some more. I think this place would be great to come with friends if you are a local to the area, and even good just for lunch like we did during the week.

They have a great selection of beers here, and pretty good food too! Their portions are big, and the food is super heavy, so be sure not to order too much! They have some TVs near the bar, but they need larger TVs throughout the restaurant! Service is awesome here!

I love watching DDD. You know, that show where that crazy bleached hair dude travels and eats at Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I took my son on an adventure to Monterey and this restaurant wasn’t far from our hotel. Food: I really came for the ginormous pretzel with the cheese sauce. My son was happy. I was hoping for more… something. Fell a little flat for me and the cheese sauce had a slight processed cheese taste and finish. Kids meal for the little dude. I only got the sliders appetizer. The sliders could have uses more seasoning. All in all, a perfect amount of food. Service: fantastic, very attentive. Ambiance: sat I the covered and heated patio which was lovely.

After spending all day hiking over 9 miles in Big Sur, all my friends and I could think about on the drive back to where we were staying was having a beer and a burger. I just wanted beer. Found this place so I decided to take a chance and make a last minute reservation. Luckily, they were able to fit us in at our desired time. We got lucky since this place just happened to be about 2 miles from where we were staying. A bit of a bummer that we didn’t get to see the area during the day, but whatever. We started off with the calamari and smoked tomato fondue. So glad we got both. The calamari was perfect. The batter was just right and the sweet thai chile dip was the perfect fit. I can’t say enough about the tomato fondue. We had to ask for extra bread because we didn’t want the dip to go to waste. I actually ended up dipping the calamari in it and it blended perfectly. We also got a small order or chowder. I only had a taste and really liked it. My friend ate the whole thing way too quickly. For our mains, we got the following: Chicken piccata — delicious. The broccoli that came with it was massive. Shortrib grilled cheese — to.die.for. Whatever the combo inside of it was was pure genius. Every bite was heavenly. Wave street club — to say that this sandwich was enormous would be an understatement. It was a bit overwhelming. Very good though. I would order it with one less layer of bread. Pretty good beer selection. I liked the ones I had although I don’t remember the names. I stuck to an amber and cider. Our server was great. She ended up suggesting a couple things we had. I forgot her name, but she had glasses and said she was from Temecula. Great place.

The force of the tourist trap is strong here. I had never heard of this place prior, but I was tired, my phone was dead, and I was in need of some beer and grub. Seeing the word«brewery» in the name peaked my interest so I walked in and instantly realized that if AppleBees had an «fratty» older brother this would be it. Cannery Row, bro! The Cannery Row Brewing Company offers pretty basic bar menu items; burgers, calamari, nachos, and anything beer battered. So I kept with the beer battered tradition and went with calamari, but ordered a chopped salad to try and balance the fried food I was going to consume at an alarming rate. The calamari was just ok, but it came with fried pepperoncinis that were very tasty, I would have eaten a basket of just these little salty bombs by themselves. The salad seemed small when it first arrived, but was actually pretty filling especially with some added chicken extra fixings. Once again, like the calamari, the salad wasn’t anything spectacular, but it did fill my belly. I will say the service here was amazing; I was able to plug in my dead phone behind the hostess stand and let it charge while I ate and our server was on point with everything from the drinks to the food. Beyond the great service this place just seems purely utilitarian, you don’t come here to stay for hours and watch the game. This is a midway point to refuel your body either on your way to car or on your way to tourist filled mecca that is Cannery Row.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, Cannery Row Brewing Company has one of the largest selection of draft beers. But this family-friendly gastro-pub on Cannery Row, which was featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for its«high-end bar grub,» cooks up tasty bar food and appetizers. Try the Calamari, which are lightly battered and comes with a side of sweet Thai chile sauce that is perfect for dipping the crispy calamari and pepperoncini. Order the Cheddar Bacon Biscuits to share. These warm, crusty biscuits are infused with sharp cheddar and smokey bacon for additional layers of flavors. Finally, a bowl of the rich Clam Chowder made with manila clams, double-cut bacon, and yukon gold potato, is perfect for warming up your soul!
