Expensive and rude. I assume these guys assume female lookers are never coming back since mocking us… loudly laughing and repeating«make offer… lady lookin loo» is not bringing me or one of my frequent guests back… ever. With my husband, this same man spoke only to my husband. .we were admiring a $ 990.00 tapestry bag in the window. My husband thought it far too much for machine tapestry on fabric. Man said all hand made a and make offer. Make offer. We expect to haggle in a bazaar or garage sale… but not on Cannery Row. Creepy, guys… overpriced stuff. Go to Pier One.

This store and its sister store across the street are beautiful shops in Monterey. The owner told us that he makes trips to Turkey twice a year and brings back these items. So cool. The owner was a bit of a schmoozer(which I find very off-putting) but he was very nice. My parents bought a tapestry and I bought a ring. I was hesitant at the price of the ring but the sale associate quickly came down in price(almost by half) when she saw my hesitation… I didn’t know the prices were negotiable but — ok! After I got home, I noticed the ring turned my finger green for the first few times I wore it. I was super disappointed, since I know that means it was made with cheap metal. But now a few months later, the green stain has slowed so hopefully it’s not made cheaply… I guess time will tell! A really cool place to browse — totally unique stuff!

When we were in Canary Row area of Monterey, we stopped by this Turkish Grand Bazaar Store. Some of the color combinations were simply stunning.

This store(and its sister store across the street) are welcome additions to Cannery Row where the majority of stops are either tourist traps or restaurants. Fine Art Turkish Grand Bazaar is full of interesting and colorful items; chandeliers, boots and shoes, platters, bowls and jewelry. Everything is unique and of high quality so as one would expect, prices are a bit higher. Mom and I truly enjoyed browsing these stores and received friendly, attentive service from the two young women working at both stores. I really loved the unique peep toe pumps and asked about the price. I was told I could have a pair for $ 80, but sadly my size was not available. However, the associate mentioned their other store across the street had a larger selection so I headed on over. They did have my size, but I was given a higher price. I mentioned that the other associate had offered me the shoes for $ 80 and the associate said she would honor it. So far a terrific experience. What disappointed me and took this review from 5 to 2 stars were the actions of the owner. He walked into the store without so much as a greeting to mom and I, his customers, came straight to the counter to look over this associates shoulder and gruffly asked her what she was selling for $ 80. She explained to him that the other associate had offered me the shoes for $ 80 at which point he muttered something under his breath and walked out of the store, presumably to give the other associate a hard time. He came back in as we were completing our purchase and as we walked out, I could hear him berating the other associate for selling the shoes for $ 80. Had I not already completed my purchase, I would have left the shoes there. Not once did the owner acknowledge our presence or thank us for purchasing an item in his store. Honestly I think he glared at us. While I can understand that he was upset about the fact his associate offered an item at a lower price apparently without his approval, I did not ask for the discount and his behavior was inexcusable. In retail, customer service is key and if the owner of a store cannot hold his temper and actually treat his customers with just the smallest iota of respect, he doesn’t deserve my business. As much as I loved the shoes I purchased as well as the colorful lead free platters the associate was showing me, I will not return to this establishment, the sister store across the street or his store in Carmel. It’s a pity because honestly I loved the products offered.

Great store! It’s a bit pricy but you get what you pay for! The quality of the products are great and everything is authentic. I believe the owner owns the Turkish import store in Carmel as well. Anyways, it’s worth checking out :-)

Super awesome store! I never knew much(and still don’t know much) about the Turkish culture, but by all the detail in handmade lamps, rugs, bags, shoes, etc. you can tell its rich in culture. This store is expensive, but you get what you pay for! :)

Great place with very beautiful Turkish decoration. I know we pay quite a bit for what we want but we did get to see and touch what we ordered and the staff were super friendly, fun and helpful. Now I am waiting for my shipment to get to my house. Meanwhile, they do deserve a 5 stars for quality products and services. The price is high but I’ll decide later if it’s a good reason to reduce their rating for it. Cheers!

Wow! This is a great place for some very beautiful Turkish lamps, Jewelry, and footwear. The lamps were so stunning, I had to be pushed along because I would stand and stare at the lamps too long. Now the lamps aren’t cheap, but if you have the cash, you should consider visiting the store. Hell, even if you can’t afford the lamps, there is still a huge display of very nice jewelry, too. Just go to there!

By far and away the most amazing store I have ever visited. Beautiful, one of a kind handmade, lamps and chandeliers. I was mesmerized. Every piece was so beautiful, the colors so vivid and brilliant. I knew I must have one, the hard part was deciding which one. The Staff was World Class. It was a pleasure to meet and do business with them. If you are looking for quality, one of a kind lighting, there is no need to look any further. My 9 tier Turkish ottoman chandelier is stunning. It will be a conversation piece in my home for years to come. It’s magnificent. Can’t wait to return to purchase my next piece.

Beautiful and mesmerizing store, BUT extremely over priced! I bought 2 lamps from this store and then went online and discovered that the lamps I bought(which were priced for $ 479 each) were only 79.99 online. If you do dare to buy anything from this store, make sure to negotiate! For example, if it’s priced for 500, ask for 150 or even lower.

Beautiful. The people who work here were lovely. We were taken with the store and the merchandise. We had our daughter with us and they were so welcoming and kind to her. It made our day. We will be back on our next visit. I cannot wait to buy hand painted bowls. Simply beautiful.
