Yay another military billeting that sucks. I’ve had the misfortune of going to TDY at Maxwell several times. I’ve stayed in three different buildings that ranged from mediocre to acceptable. What is always consistent is the crappy housekeepers and rude clerks at the front desk. None of them can be bothered to look you in the eye when they talk to you(maybe it’s a southern thing?). The housekeepers pick and choose when they want to clean your room, so think twice before you drop that towel on the floor. I come here often for military courses and the instructors always tell us to let them know if there are any issues with billeting. The only way these issues are fixed is through people with rank, not customers themselves. Last week, my housekeeper cleaned my room, she only did so twice in 7 days. When I called the front desk to report it, the lady that answered the phone literally asked me what I wanted her to do about it. Once I was here on a six week TDY and received a non-availabiliy letter. Full per diem and off base hotel… best TDY ever.
