Best brunch in Vermont hands down. It’s worth the drive from Burlington any day. Everything I’ve had has been great(especially the florentine Benedict) but the best quality of this place is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and willing to go out of their way. I left my wallet by mistake and the bartender not only found me online to let me know she had it but went out of her way on her day off to get it back to me.

Went here for brunch, the restaurant is small but still feel spacey, the lighting was bright but warm and I love the decoration. I think this restaurant is good if you want to have date night. I Ordered Bread pudding, its really salty but its tasty. Presentation was beautifull too. I gave 5 star as my bf ordered egg benedict with salmon and it was really good. The staff were friendly aswell.

Best restaurant in Montpelier hands down. Come here for brunch, and dinner, and sushi on Tuesdays. Always get dessert and drinks.

Very good food, especially brunch.(The tempeh they use is incredibly flavorful.) It’s a little pricey, but worth it. The drinks are good, but don’t feel quite worth the price. The service can be very spotty; sometimes truly excellent but occasionally slow/distracted. It sometimes feels like they’re more interested in talking to each other than you, even when it’s very slow.

Went here for brunch a while back, and have been dreaming about it ever since. We were just passing through town and happened to stop here, so glad we did. It was amazing, I had the huevos rancheros, and my boyfriend had the pork apple hash(or something along these lines). It was so delicious, we savored every bite. The ingredients were quality, the flavors blended perfectly, and the portion was just right. I finished it off with a chaga latte that blew my mind. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

What an outstanding place to get a meal. The food is flavorful, authentic, and lives up to the idea of farm to table philosophy. The menu has plenty to chose from and has a little something for everyone. We got the special, smoked salmon hollandaise, and fish cakes. The smoked salmon was perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. The root vegetables that came on the side were really nice too. The hollandaise was really good and well made. It never broke like some many others that you see. The fish cakes were well balanced and also amazingly flavorful. The staff are warm and inviting and this is a place that you just keep wanting to come back too.

We walked in and felt instantly comfortable and at home. Staff was very attentive. Started with Apple, beet and carrot juice, very fresh and delicious. Ordered two half plates, which is a great option. Portuguese egg Benedict with small salad on the side. No fillers at all, amazingly seasoned fish cake! The grain bowl was comprised of steamed kale, fennel, sweet potato, and brown rice. The bowl also had crispy tofu, toasted tamari sunflower seeds and a side of lemon tahini! Heaven in a bowl! Kismet deserves ten stars.

My partner and I spent the weekend in Vermont and this was our favorite restaurant. We went for brunch and everything was amazing. Service, interior, and most importantly amazing food with incredible flavors. You would expect a place like this in a large city, but being Vermont, this is what you get. Incredible!

Came here for brunch just after opening on an inconspicuous Sunday. This is not your typical American breakfast. Our dishes ranged from Western European to Middle Eastern in style and seasoning. The biscuits and gravy tasted like something straight out of Jerusalem. We were truly blown away by the rich, complex flavor a embedded in each of the modestly portioned dishes. You definitely pay a premium for the experience however. A breakfast menu with a unique catalog of flavored and diverse dishes are hard to come by and this place offers that up at around $ 25 a head.

I have eaten bfast and dinner at Kismet both probably 50 times. My incredible dinner this past February inspired me to write on Unilocal. The food is creative, thoughtful, conscious and so delicious. I had the shiitake miso butter kale which involved the chef growing her own shiitakes, drying them, creating a fine powder and then working it into the restaurant’s homemade butter. My entrée was a goat cheese gnudi in a delightfully spring tasting cream sauce with chive and dill. I have eaten in fabulous restaurants in major cities such as Boston, Montréal, Quebec city, Manhattan, Rome and Florence. Kismet spoils me because it sets the bar so high and it’s my favorite restaurant. The wine list focuses on sustainable wines and almost all the bottles are under $ 60. The atmosphere is casual.

Wonderful farm to table dining. I went with three other people when they were offering a $ 40 price fixed menu. We shared the beef carpaccio, oysters, whipped feta, and mussels for appetizers. All of them were outstanding. The entrees(2 ducks, beef tenderloin, and veggie platter) were equally awesome and the proteins were all perfectly cooked. Service was great and the food came out fast. To top it off, the waitress was nice enough to let us order after dinner drinks to replace the deserts included with the meal since we were all so full. I’ve also been for brunch multiple times and have always been impressed. Definitely the best brunch in town.

This place is pretty expensive, but very tasty. I usually go here for brunch — definitely try the baked eggs. And the crispy fingerlings are to die for. I was there for New Years this year — it was one of the only places open and I was pretty happy. We ordered a lot of small plates. And the beer is fabulous.

oh, Kismet. You are as good as it gets! Me and my boyfriend were in VT on Saturday and Sunday, and really wanted brunch so we decided to give Kismet a try. Best idea we made all vacation! Crystal, the owner, is SO wonderful! She is polite, accommodating and just all around the best! Our server for both days that we went was Liz, she was awesome! She was friendly and absolutely awesome! Saturday for brunch we got the biscuits and gravy(which OMG was amazing), the cheddar grits(so good), and the pork hash which wasn’t what i was envisioning but still so good! And Crystal thought that our food was taking too long so she brought us out these little donut holes that were rolled in cinnamon sugar(WONDERFUL) also, we didn’t think the food took too long, but it was a really nice touch! the food was wonderful! We went back Sunday because it was so good on Saturday. We had to get the biscuits and gravy AGAIN(because it was literally THAT good), the canadian truck stop(which was amazing but SO filling) and my boyfriend got the greek inspired omelette(which i didn’t like but he thought was really flavorful). Also, Crystal gave me a mimosa on the house which was so sweet! All around a great atmosphere and a wonderful staff with some amazing food! Any time we’re in Vermont on a weekend we will 100% be stopping here for brunch, no doubt! It is a little difficult to find and parking is a bit hard, but the food is so amazing that you forget about all that once you’re eating the food! I highly recommend Kismet for brunch! :)

I used to recommend this place. I get the whole, «local, better, healthier, hipsterer» Montpelier thing. But Paying $ 20 for breakfast should impress me, No? Last 2 times I’ve been bummed. I got the Huevos Rancheros and it was not good. Burnt beans,(I think), a skinny slice of dried out ham and 2 rockhard tiny«poached eggs» that tasted like vinegar, Then, next time I got the Porkhash with eggs. It was that, but soupy. Like, ½ a bowl of liquid that made the potato part gross. Not good. I usta be a fan… Edit: I think I just hit a bad day at Kismet. I have always had excellent food there previously. The Owner contacted me and generously offered a gift certificate to give them another try. I will go back. As I said, it’s usually excellent. So, ignore my review and give them a try. If you were to encounter a problem I’m sure they would deal with it quickly and graciously!

I’ve eaten here a few times and in general have had a good experience. However, I am compelled to write this review based on the«charcuterie plate» they offered during restaurant week. You have no business calling that a charcuterie plate whatsoever. It should have been called a bread & cheese plate. Three thinly sliced pieces of lardo that make up about 1% of what is on the plate does not constitute you to call it a «charcuterie plate.» It was the worst characterization of any dish I have ever eaten!

This place is awesome! I had an apple, beet and carrot fresh juiced drink! Then tried the Portuguese eggs. Like say” sex in your mouth anyone?“ Absolutely delicious.
