We stopped at Taco mayo in Moore today and ordered salads and potato locos. The salad shells were soggy on the bottom and water pooled in the container. I ordered mine with no meat and I found 2 small pieces of chicken in it and didn’t eat it. My daughter’s was made with chicken and she said it had a strange flavor. Waste of money.

We typically cook all of our own meals but we turn to taco mayo when we aren’t able to and need something quick. I didn’t realize this for a long time, but they’re Oklahoma owned and operated so your money stays here in the state. The tortillas are made fresh every day and they have the highest quality ingredients out of all the fast food taco places. The staff here is always kind and I don’t recall ever having a bad experience.

Fresh, comfortable, affordable, and plenty of options! This was our first time trying Taco Mayo and we were very pleased! It isn’t easy finding a place that will satisfy all four kids as well as Mom and Dad, but this place does! Salads, nachos, quesadillas with fresh ingredients and no lard! Their Freestyle drink machine was great too. There were plenty of choices, and LOTS of no-carb options, too. That’s important to us since we have multiple people in the family with type one diabetes. Usually the only carb-free choice is Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. Here we could get many diet sodas and Powerade Zero in every flavor! The booths were spacious and the large windows brought in plenty of warm sunlight and gave us a nice view of a little river. We will definitely be checking out more Taco Mayos since this was such a great visit. Way better than sitting in our car eating at the greasy drive-in next door!

I love traveling because it lets me try different restaurants that I don’t have at home. When we were traveling through Oklahoma we kept seeing Taco Mayos so we decided to stop and give it a shot. When we walked in, I was impressed with this little fast food restaurant. It was clean, the décor was festive and interesting, the employees were cheerful and nice! We finally decided on our food and was impressed that it was made right there in front of us! We got a chicken soft taco, the chips and queso and a steak quesadilla. Now here’s where the review takes a turn… While we were impressed with everything else, we were not impressed with the food. The queso was awful. Not sure if that’s their normal recipe or if this location was having a bad day, but it was not good. It was almost musty tasting, like a gravy mixed with queso, it was almost in edible to me. I ended up just eating salsa with my chips. The chicken soft taco was alright, nothing special. I will give points for the tortilla, it was tasty, but the rest was just meh. My husbands quesadilla had that gross queso on it so it wasn’t good. He ate it, because let’s face it, he’s a boy and will eat almost anything, but he was pretty reluctant to do so. Maybe we hit it on a bad day… or maybe it’s just not for us

What I love about taco mayo for starters is the real ground beef! The newer restaurants that are built now feature more tex mex vs another fast food joint. You can create a monstrous burrito with every topping taco mayo has for only $ 3.95 cents. I’ve noticed that @ the newer built taco mayos that the food seems to taste a lot better. Its almost just as good as real Mexican restaurants. Taco mayo gets the job done well for an affordable price. I really like the new coke machine that these locations have with endless combinations. Can I get a suicide drink! Lol that just means every soda mixed in lol.

An Oklahoma based Tex-Mex fast food chain with a menu that is suprisingly similar to Taco Bell, and unfortunately tastes that way as well. One main difference is the fresh made tortillas. Taco Bell’s are shipped in at room temp and then warmed in a humidifier, but Mayo’s are made on site in the front of the store. The salsa bar is a nice touch as well. There are 15 – 20 Taco Mayo’s in the OKC metro. I give it a 10% upgrade from Taco Bell.
