Our waiter Guliver is an amazing employee and I have never been so impressed with the constant level of professional positive attitude that he has. He is always attentive to all the customers needs, and always shows kindness to all. He is truly an asset to Dennys Restaurant and if I had a company of my own I would steel him from Dennys to work for me. We have been coming to this Denny’s in Moorpark for years and just love all the food and I love the Bold coffee, and that they are the only restaurant open late in Moorpark, every restaurant in Moorpark closes so early, so if your up late this is the best place in town! Also we noticed in the last year or so every time we drive up and park outside in the parking lot that the sewer line drains have a horrible odor coming from the ground, and it smells like rotten sewer water and chemical waste. I would like to suggest that you either call the city of Moorpark and complain about the sewer system odor problems, or maybe hire a private company or plumber that can clean out your sewer line in front of the restaurant. Thanks again for having the very best waiters and waitresses and always providing us with the best service in town! We just love eating at Dennys!

I take my kids to breakfast every weekend on a rotating schedule(one at a time), and they pick Denny’s about half the time. We are in a few times a month, and have never had a bad experience. It’s not stellar, but is consistently a good meal, with good service, at a decent price. No complaints.

I have no idea why I continue to go to this place. Just called to place a to go order and was abruptly put on hold. I timed how long and at 10 minutes I hung up and called back with no luck. It just rang and rang. I purposely let it ring for 5 minutes. Ugh! What a joke! So even though the staff is always friendly they are so under staffed at all times that the service is severely slow. They always have to apologize and have to run around crazy. Can we please get some decent management at this location?

I have not been to many Denny’s, but I would have to bet this is by far the worst of all. I have been to this location twice. The first time I ordered a slice of pie and soda. It took 1 hour and when it finally came the soda was not carbonated, to which they responded with a shrug of their shoulders. The second time, I ordered a small meal, which took an extremely long time, and was incorrect. The best I can say about this Denny’s is the food is at least edible.

I am sorry to say I agree with all the negative reviews here. I would like to add that you have to watch the bill when it comes to add ons. If you order the build your own and add an extra side they over charge. This is a franchise. You can always tell because Denny’s let’s their franchises do what ever they want. I don’t understand because the Denny’s run stores are always run better. Maybe it’s because Denny’s gives their help benefit’s and the franchises don’t.

I take my son here for some dad and lad time. We have breakfast at the bar and know the waitress. She is super sweet and recognizes us. My boy loves pancakes. I have the light slam. Good coffee. I know most people that go to these breakfast joints only leave a buck for a tip. I leave good tips and get good service. That seems fair.

I’ve been coming to this Denny’s for about 4 years. The service I’ve received has been from good to spectacular. Never anything below that. And no, this isn’t Mastro’s Steakhouse or Nobu, so don’t expect a perfect atmosphere with«perfect» service, «perfect» staff, «perfect» timing and an overall«perfect» restaurant. The food here has always been great and the servers here are very friendly people who are always doing their best for me to have a great brunch or late night dinner experience. I do not know where all these bad reviews are coming from. But all I can say is, «keep up the good work guys»! P. S. Why do people bring crying babies to restaurants. The management wouldn’t ask them to be quiet since they could get a complaint. This isn’t the first time we were here with babies crying. So left to go somewhere else for lunch. I don’t have to listen to crying babies and management that is afraid to ask the parents to try and keep their child quiet.

Service was pretty good. But the eggs tasted like poison. Chemically altered poison. So much to the point I took a bite and gagged, then spit it back out. My boyfriend tried them too and he did the same thing. We’re both sitting here currently trying not to throw up everything we’ve ever known, including our hopes and dreams. If eggs were made in sweatshops, this is what they would taste/feel like. I’ve come to the conclusion that either these eggs came Satan himself, or Denny’s is trying to kill us all.

I like this place because it’s one of the few places in town that stays open late. I drop by here if I am out all day. I actually enjoy the food here although I hear it’s better anywhere else. The service can be friendly depending on who you get. It’s never super busy when I come in but it can take forever to pay your bill. I feel like it’d be so easy to walk out without paying but I’m not a terrible person.

Planning is everything and management dropped the ball. We went in on Friday night after the high school football game. Moorpark is a small town with few places to go at 10pm at night. They were not prepared at all. 1 cook and two servers and about 20 tables to serve. This rush should not feel new to them and they should be on top of the community events. We waited 20 minutes after being sat to be greeted. We of course gave both our drink order and food order. We then proceeded to wait 1 hour for our food. I’m not kidding…1HOUR. There was a party of 10 that finally got up and left because after 45 minutes they still had not one drink. There was a busser but she spoke zero english so chose not to help get drink orders or make salads or desserts or anything; just wondered the restaurant clearing dishes. Finally at 11pm another server came on and she proceeded to help. Problem is, she sat tables and helped them and got them drinks before helping the table that still had no drinks and they came in with us. Most were kids but they were being polite and quiet and last time I checked they were going to be paying customers too so they deserved service as well. At this same time, another busser came on. Again, half cleaning tables but did not raise a finger to assist with getting drinks or running food. And I do believe he spoke enough english. I have been in the service industry for 20 years, restaurant specific. I wanted so badly to jump up and help smooth this disaster out. Poor planning /scheduling by management Poor communication between employees — server skills were low — needs to learn how to work their station as a whole. Lots of ping pong behavior. Poor teamwork — I hate the words… it’s not my job. Help where help is needed first. I go to this Denny’s enough to know that this is the norm for this poorly ran restaurant. The management is less than helpful and has zero urgency at any time. Most of the time I don’t even think they know how to do basic skills like serve and bus. They should be embarrassed.

The manager doesn’t respect the fact that you ordered something completely different from what you got… And then he said that you ordered what they gave you but in fact you know you ordered what you said because you were pointing at it… The service is horrible… Never again am I coming to Denny’s in Moorpark!
