Well I went there with work associates and it was embarrassing. The waiter was very flamboyantly gay and it really made us all sick to our stomach. We couldn’t enjoy our meal. If you are into having a «gay olé time» this is the place for you but if you are business minded or family minded be warned of what you will run into here. The food is great but the service is well… pretty out of the closet.

Ate here a few times over the years. The last time we were there it was really bad. The food was good, but the service was horrible. I don’t even remember leaving a tip it was that bad. Which as you know, if you have bad service it can ruin a good dinner. It was just too busy for my liking as well, lots of riff-raff there.

This has to be the worst establishment that does not care about food presentation at all. I spoke with the manager there regarding the issue with the food presentation and all I got was an apology. No compensation or a replacement. Mind you this was on a Thursday and was not that busy to not care at all about what I was stating as a customer. Thank God they are opening newer establishments in this area because after 5 years of being a customer at this location, I will not return at all and will warn everyone about their service and food. I have attached pictures how the sauces were thrown on the plate and our calamari had a mixture of burnt fries on the plate. Just horrible!

I’ve been to BJs a ton of times and today has been the only bad experience I’ve had. Wait time was horrible. We went in on a Sunday around 330pm. First waitress took out order and that was about the fastest thing that happened. I got my beer and never offered round 2. Took forever for food to come out. I had to ask for my daughters drinks to be refilled. Most frustrating part was that my servers station was literally no more than 12 ft away from our booth. Upon completing our meals dishes weren’t cleared. I did speak to manager and informed him. I am glad that our BJs in our local area has provided better service.

Out of all the times I’ve been to this location tonight has to be the most disappointing. The wait time was less than 5 minutes but unfortunately for my friend and I that was the shortest wait time for us the entire night. It took our waiter over 10 minutes to finally come to our table to ask us for drinks and also appetizers. My friend and I already knew what we wanted to get so we ordered our food the first time she came to our table. Our food was pretty decent at best, with a clam chowder that was basically just a chowder and a lukewarm Parmesan crusted chicken although the salad we had was the most redeeming thing we ordered. After we ate our meal we waited about 20 minutes before our waitress came to ask if we needed the check or if we wanted desserts. We ordered 1 pizookie and that took 30 minutes to come out. A pizookie is good but it’s not worth that long of a wait. I understand the wait times on busy nights but tonight was an extremely slow night with many empty tables within the restaurant. I don’t really understand how I’ve had better service that is expected of BJs at this location on extremely busy nights and even nights when I’m with bigger parties for birthdays. I used to enjoy this location when I was in college so hopefully something gets fixed or I will not be returning when I’m in the Riverside area.

THE best atmosphere and food locally! Servers a always helpful and friendly too. I have been going here for over 8 years and have NEVER been disappointed. Every dish has been tasty from salads to the bar drinks. The quality of every menu and bar item is there!

I’m not a big fan of their pizzas cause I don’t like deep dish style pizza but their drinks are awesome! The strawberry mojito is amazing here super flavorful & sweet but you can definitely taste the alcohol.

I love BJ’s, but this location really just needs to step it up all together. Slow customer service, and oh my, the bathrooms were disgusting! I understand it is busy at times but knowing that, hire some more servers!

Spent 15 minutes going over the menu online with my mother who is unable to go into the restaraunt. When i call to place my order they no longer serve her top two choices of chicken fried steak and pirhana pale ale chili cheeseburger. Get it together Bj’s and update your online menu

After my previous review on the poor customer service experience, the manager Dean contacted me. He was very concerned with my experience and after a half an hour talk on the phone, he insisted I returned to his restaurant to earn back my business. We returned a couple weeks later and the experience was perfect. Our server, Ashley, who was not aware of our previous experience, was extremely friendly. One of my friends couldn’t decide on a beer so she took the initiative to bring him 3 samples of beers she thought he would like. That was beyond our expectation. Dean came over to say hello and was happy to hear we were having a great dinner. I am very pleased to report that BJ’s does care about their guests and if things go wrong they are more than willing to fix them. I will definitely return to the Moreno Valley BJ’s and will try to request Ashley as well.

We had an issue with our food. Beth(the GM) was so very kind and fixed it on the spot. Props to Beth, you have made a return customer of us!

Cheat meal. Pizza was good. We waited a little to be acknowledged, but our server apologized. There was some confusion about who was assigned what tables. Understandable. It happens. Got the boneless wings and some pizza. Good as always. Can’t complain.

Some people demand going to the olé franchise fast food place(s) and chain restaurant(s) to have the amazing experience with food they want. Recently heard someone complain of everything the menu did not have then complaining to their waiter who was obviously a college student caught in the head lights about ordering what was not present on the menu and got an attitude when he said no we cannot. Calm down people, it is one thing to ask if I can substitute fries for vegetables or salad dressing on the side and quite another to ask for something not even there. That said, Bj’s in Moreno Valley is really good in my book for the casual no reservation and hungry group with expectations of well prepared consistent food is delivered. this is not a five star joint so if you are looking for one go to one. They need to place the NY Steak back in the game on the menu though, just saying!

Seriously the service needs to get it together! Food takes forever and waiter not attentive ! 3 hours for dinner is ridiculous. Took the family here for my 3 year old birthday because he loves pizza and cookies! Made a big mistake !

I’m only giving one star because I have to just to write a review!!! This was the WORST service EVER!!! We sat there for at least 20 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink! That should of been a clue as to what the service would be like!!! We literally were there for an hour and a half without being asked once if we wanted refills, if we needed anything else etc! I spoke to the manager and he did nothing to help the situation!!! He asked us if we wanted a free pizookie! Which they were giving away for free since its Pi Day!!! Ridiculous!!! haven’t been here in 3+ years and after today I now realize why I don’t come here and definitely will not be again!!! Do not come here! Worst service seriously!!!

Hate to dip in the servers pockets… But they need more servers! Our visit was over an hour, which could have easily been 30 minutes had we not spent so much of our visit … Waiting… In the hour we were there we seen our server maybe 3x.

Hit up the lounge area with some co-workers this week. Shortly after sitting down, we were greeted promptly and offered some beverage suggestions. Given that BJ’s brews their own stuff, we asked about IPA options and were advised that they had a seasonal brew on tap — the Committed IPA. After waffling about, the waitress offered to bring over a sample for the 4 of us. Great sample sizes, let me tell you! After giving this a taste, we were subsequently talked into trying the beer sampler option. A little tough to choose only 4 given the variety of beers here, but I made do with a Lager, the Pale Ale, the aforementioned Committed and a Stout. After giving them all a whirl, the Committed was probably the best of the bunch. Their lighter brews all kind of taste alike. Dinner was a bit of a mess. It started ok with the Tomato/Mozz salad — good portion for a side and tasted excellent. Unfortunately, the main course — the Sirloin — was horrendous. I ordered it medium and it came out pretty rare, and the cut was awful — very sinewy. She took it back to give it some more heat, but we all know how that turns out. The hockey puck that returned was inedible. Without asking, the waitress kindly knocked it off the bill, but the damage was done. With one of these places that has a Cheesecake Factory-esque menu in which they try to provide something for every taste under the sun, it’s impossible for the food to be great. So, if you go in with low expectations, you’ll probably be ok here at BJs. Unfortunately, not a lot of other options in the area.

Service is not their strong point here. Our server was not very experienced in the sense that she didn’t check with us after we tried our food. We waited and waited to ask for marinara sauce for the deep dish pizza, which seemed as though it had none. Finally, we flagged someone down and they brought us this very small container which was barely enough for one slice! «Can we have some more, please», we asked? Never saw her again. I understand why they’re lacking stars. We normally read Unilocal before dining at places. Oh well… we won’t come here again!

Though this was not my first time coming to BJ’s, it was certainly one of the most disappointing visits I have had in years. I came to celebrate my roommate’s 21st birthday and despite the fact that they could not make reservations for us on the day of the event, we decided to come around 9pm to try our luck with seating. After waiting about half an hour for a party of 8, we were seated in a relatively slow section – which I always take for a good sign since that means faster service! I forget the name of our server but I suppose it doesn’t matter. Her lackluster personality and unprofessional behavior made it hard for me to take her seriously. She didn’t card half of my party and the other half only got carded because they had their IDs out. I find this very unprofessional and unsafe as underage guests could have just as easily ordered alcoholic beverages without her knowledge. I’d be a little more careful with a liquor license, but since she was complaining about how late she was working I guess she didn’t care about getting the company in trouble either. The food, on the other hand, was quite delicious! I ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup for $ 5.95 and though I wish it was a little less creamy it sure hit the spot. For my alcohol of choice I started with a Blood Orange Pom Sangria for $ 8.25 and a Piranha Pale Ale for $ 5.50 afterwards. The sangria would’ve tasted much better without the Fireball whiskey in it but regardless it still did the job. Towards the end of the night I asked our server for the check. She came back about ten minutes later and took a seat next to me, only to start complaining about how tired she was because she went out the night before and was so hungover that working that day was just a regrettable decision. I asked her how long she had been working and she said 4 hours. I couldn’t tell what I found more off putting, the fact that she blatantly did not care about how terrible her behavior was or how badly she portrayed the employees of this restaurant. Either way, I was not impressed. When we finally got our bill, she got one thing correct: my roommate’s birthday. Despite the amount of times we asked her for Parmesan cheese and a myriad of other condiments, at least she managed to bring the birthday pizookie out. Overall, I am very disappointed in this restaurant. I understand that employees are only human, but considering the fact that her section was relatively empty and it wasn’t a busy dinner time at all, I would have appreciated better and more professional service.

We went on a Sunday at 5pm and the service was absolutely atrocious. We asked our server about the 2 for $ 25 deal and her attitude immediately changed and she seemed irritated we weren’t ordering an appetizer. We ordered a wedge and caesar salad and when the salads came out, the food runner brought out 2 wedge salads and plastic wear because«no one was wrapping silverware in the back.» As we were eating our wedge salad, the salad bowl had tomato sauce crusted inside the bowl. Nasty! It was like eating off someone else’s plate. Our pizza came out fast and was fine. Our dessert on the other hand, took 20 mins to come out. If you come to the Moreno Valley BJ’s location, don’t plan on having good service, clean plates, or regular silverware. It was simply a terrible experience.
