I was going to try this place! Called to put in a 25pc order took a couple of times for the lady to answer the phone and when she did I told her I wanted to place a order she put the phone down and never came back to answer. I did hear other people ordering while I waited for 15 min for her to return to take my order I gave up! I was told the ladies there were Ghetto but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt! Guess I was wrong! They lost a customer before they even had a chance for me to try it for myself. #GhettoCustomerService

If I could give it less then 1 star I would. The lady was super rude. They should state the stop making chicken at a certain time and maybe hire more staff! Went in to get dinner and all they had were strips but yet she pulled out a huge container from the fryer of regular chicken then told us all she had was strips.

Me: Hi, my first time here… do you have a Chicken and fish combo? Them: No Me: Ok, I’ll have the three piece chicken all Dark meat with beans and rice. Them; We don’t have beans and rice. Me: Ok, I’ll have the Jambalaya. Them: We don’t have Jambalaya Me: ok, what sides do you have? Them; French Fries or Onion rings. Me: Ok, I’ll take onion rings? Them: Do you want the combo? Me: Sigh… Chicken was overly salty and greasy. Biscuit fell apart and too sweet. Onion rings were crunchy and tasty. Only reason for the extra star.

I LOVE Shakeys chicken, but the only way to get it is to pay $$$ for their bunch a lunch buffet, or pay for the chicken with included mojo potatoes which I don’t like. So I was reeeeeally hoping this Krispy Krunchy Chicken would be a reasonably priced alternative to Shakeys. I went to the Krispy Krunchy in the Shell gas station on Sunnymead at the I-60 eastbound offramp because it is squeeky clean and has sit down tables inside, whereby the Circle K on Pigeon Pass has no tables and the store is a hangout for hoodrats. I was fungry the day I stopped in and wanted at least two white meat breasts. I didn’t see just chicken on their menu board, so I ordered the 3 piece white + biscuit for $ 5.39 thinking it would come with at least two breast pieces. NOPE! Turned out to be one breast piece and two wings. Two wings… really? After eating my meal I looked on their togo menu and see that they sell stand alone breast pieces for $ 2.29. So it cost me $ 3.10 for 2 wings. DING, I just heard a star fall for deceptive pricing. On their togo menu I noticed that they do not sell the back pieces. Maybe that’s where they get their chicken fingers/tenders. I was the only diner at the time I made my purchase, so the chicken pieces I was sold were from off the shelf under a heat lamp. My chicken was only semi-krispy krunchy, warm not hot, and the meat was on the dry side. All of this was most likely due to the undetermined amount of time that the chicken pieces had been sitting under the heat lamp. DINGDING. Yuuuuuup, that was the second star hitting the ground for serving food that was well beyond it’s prime. The cajun spices of the batter were very tasty and well balanced without being overly hot from habanero or jalapeño chilis like some cajun style restaurants. So all-in-all I would say that the chicken here at Krispy Krunchy Chicken was just barely OK, but I would be willing to give them an additional chance so that I can try and time it right to purchase chicken that is freshly cooked and not have been sitting under the heat lamp.

I ordered the 4 piece mixed meal. It came with a wing, drumstick, thigh and a side breast. Massive amount of steak fries, and a biscuit. Plus I got to choose any size drink from the fountain drinks that circle k offers. I got a large of course. With tax and all it was $ 8.90. Compare that to KFC. The fries were cut so that they have small ridges, which holds onto the seasoning well, they were really good. I usually hate steak fries, but I ate all of these. The chicken was nice and crispy, it’s got great flavor and every piece was very moist inside. I used to work at KFC, and I like this crispy chicken better than theirs. I suggest you try it out. It’s inside of Circle K, so there is no seating, it’s strictly to go orders, but really good.

I found this place by accident. I was driving down Pigeon Pass and I see this sign, but I thought it belonged to Farmers Boys so I didn’t think about it again until I saw it was Farmers Boy and drove through the parking lot looking for the establishment. Low and behold it’s inside the Circle K which had me a bit apprehensive, but I said what the heck the prices was right and the chicken smelled and looked delicious. I won’t be seeing Popeye’s or KFC as long as they are in business. I had to see if there were others and they are and they serve the best Red Beans and the biscuits made me slap somebody… lol. Now for the chicken, DELICIOUS, KRISPYANDKRUNCHY. There are very few places you can reheat chicken and still enjoy it. I have been telling everybody about this place, because I have to ensure they stay in business.
