Gosh, it sure would be great if any of the cashiers greeted you with a «Hi. What can I get you today?» or even a «Hello» when you get to the counter to order. Those are the most basic customer service skills to me.

I was very disappointed at the service here. The food was decent which the only reason it got two stars. I was waiting 30 minutes for my food to come out and sae 3 people who ordered after me, get their food before. Probably because they are eating here and I ordered to go. I’ve had to ask them twice about my food and the first time, they told me the ticket dropped on the floor so they didn’t see our order at all. They are also out of sprouts. This location is terribly managed.

In short. I’m not a fan of the clam chowder. The Abbott’s Habit sandwich was great. So a mixed review. Maybe their other soups are better or are more consistent.

Enjoyed the clam chowder and vegetable soup! There were tons of veggies in the veggie soup and it was very good. The clam chowder was hearty and had a good flavor. The toga Greek salad was also very tasty!

Now I understand why the average rating is low. I’ve been to this location dozens of times over the past two years I’ve lived here. In the past, I’ve never understood why the reviews are so hit and miss; every time I’ve had a great experience. Unfortunately, this time I received a 1 star sandwich. Which is really unfortunate considering how I normally tend to view this location. The problem was the care and quality put into making my sandwich. I ordered a Natural High. This sandwich is simply: cheese, sprouts, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and onions wish«secret goo». The sandwich was missing sprouts but they were out of sprouts, so that’s no biggie. At least they made me aware. They must have been low on mushrooms and sunflower seeds, too, because I received no more than 10 slivers of mushrooms between two halves of sandwich. And the seeds? Maybe 10, give or take two. Now if the sandwich is missing one ingredient that’s maybe not a huge deal. But to short a guy on the remaining 1⁄3 if the ingredients? No bueno, Mr Erik. This was the saddest sandwich ever. And the worst part is it was a to-go order. Am I going to go back and complain? Of course not because I’m frikkin starving. I’m sure whoever made this mess was counting on just this sort of complacency. Take some pride in your work, kid! Pix to illustrate this will soon be posted. The only reason I didn’t give this two says was because I split the difference between this and past experiences.

Normally all the other locations in San Jose I’ve been too are super fast. The time i sit down there already bringing me my food. At this particular location it took 25 mins for my sandwich to come out. And than they forgot my chili… And they forgot it was to go. Sandwich was good but the chili was funky. I definitely won’t be coming back to this particular location. I’ll just hit up togo’s when I’m in the area next time :/

I’ve eaten at other Erik’s delis so I knew what to expect. I love the del monte sandwich. The wheat bread is really tasty. My sandwich was made quickly and the place looked clean.

So they used to be pretty good a few years ago but their ingredient quality has gone steadily downhill. And you used to get a whole pickle with each sandwich, now you get ¼th of a pickle. A fourth! Absurd. They used to use nice bakery bread too, now it’s just the cruddy Orowheat junk you can buy at the grocery store. For the prices they charge I expect a whole pickle per sandwich and some quality ingredients. I could buy the ingredients to make better sandwiches myself for less money. We will not be going back.

I love pilgrim’s progress sandwich and vegetarian vegetable soup. They’re the only things I order here! The sandwich is made of whole grain bread, avocado, turkey, tomato, sprouts, and yummy sauce. Veg soup is like tomato soup with diced veggies. I think it’s so healthy but still delicious! When I first went in, I thought it was like a formal sit down restaurant but it was actually like a subway where you order up front and wait to pick up.

I can make better sandwiches at home. Disappointed on many levels. Waited outside for a super long time for my order. Walked in stood there waiting… nothing. They forgot my order and made a whole bunch of other orders that came in after me. No apology. Never going back. Soggy bread. Yuk.

Normally I really like Eriks but today I’m a little upset feeling kind of ripped off I paid $ 28 for three people to eat and I just seems like a bit much on top of that I preorder so I can show up in the food ready and the soup is not warm enough to the point where they asked me if I have a microwave. Bottom line is if I’m buying food from you I do not want to go home and microwave it. Then we open up my sandwich to find this mess, see picture.

Confused as to why the lady who works there asked me if she could give me cold soup???

I work in the vineyard shopping center and have budgeted myself to only go to Erik’s once a week. Love my chicken pesto, or pilgrim progress on a Chibatta bread and the honey sweetened tea! If I feel like splurging I get a slice of carrot cake, sooo good! Sometimes there’s a super long line, but other than that I always get my food minutes after I order-line or not! I usually get it to go, but there is a nice outdoor eating area, wish it was more shaded though. Service is always quick and friendly!

If I had to choose between the large national chain sandwich shops and Erik’s I would pick Erik’s. Soup and half sandwich is the way to go and that’s my way! The pasta salad is the best deli pasta salad and service is always friendly no matter what location you go to! Plus I like their pickles!

GLUTENFREE? No problem. Eric’s does cater to those with celiac issues. They also take extra care and will make sure to change gloves when preparing your sandwhich to prevent cross contamination to those very sensitive. This location has always been solid for me. The employees here are friendly and even will go out of the way to recall that they’ve seen you before – even something small, it makes you feel like they care about their customers. On that note, you can expect the staff to make the usual favorites as good as it’s suppose to be. If you haven’t been to an Erik’s before, they serve fresh sandwiches using local high quality products. I mean it’s clearly superior in taste and quality in comparison to Togo’s or Subway. The price does reflect that, so if you can’t taste the difference you should stick to the cheaper stuff. I always get the Raging Bull or Abbott’s Habbit. If your looking for an Erik’s Deli, you can’t go wrong with this location.

Pilgrims Progress has got those tasty sprouts that my friend always been raving about. Says he’s just tryna get some sprouts all the time. But really it is a tasty sandwich, when I first got it I thought, I’m going to still be hungry after this. But to my surprise the sandwich was so packed with turkey that I was good and full when I was done. My friend swears by the Eriks Berger which isn’t a burger at all. I’ve never had it but supposedly it’s really tasty! They also have a decent selection of bottled sodas that may be a little more fancy aka sarsaparilla.

I like this deli! Great combos sandwiches, and lots of variety in potato chips. Had their Reuben sandwich. Fresh and toasty bread made the sandwich, sprouts, cheese, dill pickle on the side… They also advertise that they put their special«GOO» or spread in their sandwiches(yummy). I also tried out Zapp’s cajun tomato chips(tabasco added — yumm). fountain drinks served in mason jars. Great spot to stop in, if you are hankering for a good deli sandwich in the Morgan Hill area.

It’s been a while since I’ve had Erik’s. The last time was my last review. This time I ordered the«Erik’s Reuben» which is pastrami, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese. I made it a square deal which comes with a cup of soup. I ordered the beef stew, which is really really good. I think I really don’t like the sprouts too much. It’s just like what I said last time, waaaaaay over powering. That’s all I ended up tasting and took some out. Everything else is pretty darn good. I definitely recommend any pastrami sandwich, the meat is so thin and tastey. This location is nice, ask for samples of the soup, they’ll do it with a smile.
