I believe that ones hair is the most important thing a person wears everyday! I have always cared a great deal about my hair and the time I spend at a salon. I have gone to a few top notch salons in town and lastly came from a Los Gatos salon paying over $ 200.00 a visit. Then I found Robin at Extend Your Image and could not be happier!
First, Robin is an extraordinary hair stylist. Her cut and color work is exceptional. She also is one of the very few stylists that does expert hair extensions. Now there are great hair stylists out there but what sets Robin and her shop apart from any other is the warm, welcoming feeling I get when I go in! Robin is quick to introduce everyone to each other and make them feel special and important! Robin is one of the most real, genuine and generous people I have known. In fact, all of the people at EYI are positive, professional and friendly!
The post stating negative comments is completely off base! Truly, if Robin wasn’t Robin and her shop wasn’t the inviting environment that it is, I wouldn’t go there.
There is no room for critism about this salon. If you are unsatisfied, go elsewhere so the rest of us can enjoy this very special place and take the high road… it’s less crowded up there!

Heather is the best manicurist in South County and my Shellac lasts 3 weeks! Great job heather!

If you want a great hair cut Robin will offer nothing less.
However you have to deal with all that comes with it.
The salon seems to be ran flying by the seat of their pants.
No one ever seems to know how to make an appointment and I am always told someone will call you back, only never to be called back.
On 4 different occasions the reception lady that booked my appointments booked them for the wrong date.
It seems like a lot of the stylist only work bankers hours, which are what I work, so it’s next to impossible to get in.
I have been going here for almost 3 years. I only rated it two stars because I don’t think the business overall is ran professionally by any means!
But if you’re lucky enough to have Robin cut your hair, you will be more than happy.

I wish the amount of personal information in this salon was a lot LESS! Both on text, phone and general conversation there was a lot for my ears to hear! I love the hair cut/​price, but for me, it was too much of a bad vibe.

WoW! Robin at Extend Your Image is phenomenal!!! Never has my hair looked so good, not to mention healthy. I have long, thick hair and Robin rocked it with long layers that makes it look great whether it’s straight or curled. After a few times in, I decided that I wanted to try doing an ombré dye. I have to say she almost perfectly matched the photo I showed her, except I really think she did it even better!
Bottom line, if you want awesome, street stopping hair, look no further than Extend Your Image Salon!

This is where HAIR STYLISTS GO TO GET THEIR HAIR AND NAILS DONE! Ive come to this salon for 2 years now and I am a practicing Hair Stylist for over 25 years at another nearby salon. Heather Tice does my Shellac nails and does a SUPERB job. My Nails last me 3 weeks without chipping or cracking. Over the last 2 years while I have been in this salon getting my nails done I have observed incredible hair cutting, styling and some really beautiful highlights being performed. It is ALWAYS very professional and extremely informative about great local restaurants and any other great local business that I may be looking for. I find these girls very refreshing as a group of women as I have NEVER heard any gossip or ill will said about ANYONE. I had been referred to Robin by a friend who cuts hair in Salinas. I looked at the Unilocal reviews and felt good knowing that others had good things to say about her. I made my appointment a few weeks in advance and was so excited to get my hair colored and cut. My appointment was Saturday at 12:30. I arrived on time (I had a hard time finding the place). I walk in and I’m greeted by Robin who is combing out a woman’s hair who clearly just got washed. I say I’m there for a 12:30 with Robin and she says, «Oh that’s me.» She is clearly frazzled and confused and had no idea she had an appointment. She asks who referred me to her kind of looking at me like she has no idea how I got there. It was all very weird but I was just gonna go with it. She then tells me she is running late and if I had any errands to run. Um… no errands to run, I came to get my hair done and left my twins at home with my mother to come get my hair done. She cuts and blow dries the other lady as I patiently wait. By this time it’s 1:05. Then she comes over to tell me that she now has to put color on someone else before she gets to me. She tells me that she has been working since 6:30 this morning doing extensions. No apology or anything. So awkward. By this time I am so pissed I begin to text the person who referred me on facebook and she was telling me to leave. I was trying to be patient and not rude, despite the fact that I was being treated rudely. Finally by 1:15 she hadn’t started putting color on the other girl and I just walked out. I was so upset I didn’t even want her doing my hair at that point. This was literally the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I am new to the area and was really looking for someone to do my hair well and on a regular basis. At other salons when they are running late they call and let you know. Not here. Don’t bother… take your business elsewhere.

They do a great job! Robin does the best job around for extensions. And bar none if you need your hair done for a special occasion, wedding, etc.

I am sooo happy with Robin at Extend. I love my hair every time I go. Not many hair stylists can handle long hair. She knows what looks good! She also does my husband’s hair and he looks fabulous too!
