Morgan Hill Inn

Stayed here on a trip for a festival. I’ve stayed here often when I come into town. Good price for a holiday, clean room, nice management, good area, close to shops, parks, recreation center, stores, gas and freeway. Ok negatives, bathroom could use some remodeling, my door bathroom door didn’t close all the way, get very few channels on tv. I would stay here again.

Granite counter tops? Where? I certainly didn’t see any.
We wanted to stay near Gilroy on our way back from Lake Tahoe. The price seemed OK when we booked it, and we didn’t see anything negative of consequenc3e, so we booked a couple rooms.
The first thing we noted was that the bathroom door did not open all the way. The door hit the toilet when opening, so one had to wiggle into the bathroom to use the toilet, then shut the door. Floors were rather dirty, and A/​C was marginal.
The topper was when my wife and daughet were walking back from Starbucks, a couple blocks away. Some creeper started following them, and they made it back to the motel. By the time they told me about it and I went outside to investigate, the man was gone. Although it doesn’t look a big city ghetto, this is not a great neighborhood.
Staff was OK. The lady at the front desk listened to our complaint and proceeded to ignore it. Wifi connection was free, but you get what you pay for: Really poor connection.
Use only in case of emergency.

What kind of nut job rates a dump like this with 5 stars! The owner’s relatives? Looks decent up front but beware… sugar ants, trash cans and ash can and stray indoor chairs arranged outside our non-​smoking door. Broken mirror, and shampoo holder that held mismatched sundries, poorly arranged fixtures (mini fridge & old microwave blocked most of the large vanity negating access to the tissue holder and old wall-​mounted blow dryer). Furnishings were worn pressboard crap. That said, the mattress and pillows were decent and a bathroom remodel was started with nice granite tile. Fan was very noisy, ceiling sprinklers were shoddily-​installed, drywall finishes were makeshift and unfinished. Place was quiet and our Christmas packages didn’t get stolen so were are grateful for that but my husband slept in his clothes convinced we were going to have security issues. Next time we will drive farther for a Motel 6.

The five stars fit this small town value motel that is in the center of town, inexpensive, very clean, quiet, and the front desk service is very good. Better than good, and I use this word carefully anywhere, but the gentleman there was truly gracious.
Our room was very comfortable, well lit, with new windows, and the bed and pillows were awesome for a motel. The bathroom had been recently fully remodeled. And the free WiFi performed very well.
I will stay here anytime we come to town to visit family there.

5 stars! Granite counter tops, super quiet, nice staff. clean and comfy… and they let you sleep in late without costing more.
