Love that the phở broth wasn’t as greasy and heavy and owner confirmed that she doesn’t use msg! Cute décor with bamboo leaves around. It’s Christmas time so they had a Santa and tree in the front! Owner friendly as well! I like that she takes pride in not using msg! Also love that this place takes visa and mastercard, most are cash only. The phở was good and the thai iced tea with boba was also good. Service was attentive, and they came to check on us at least twice. The place is baby friendly with the high chairs. Would definitely come back if ever in Morgan Hill and need phở!

You naysayers are nuts! l just had the brisket and oxtail,(not fond of tendon), Phở. No, it’s not Jades, but it is still AWESOME!!! The broth was nice and rich. A different spice personality, very likable. The brisket was tender and meaty. The oxtail, Wow! What a rich little chunk of meat. You have to hold it out of the broth with your chopsticks for a couple of minutes to let it cool, then grab it with your fingers and gnaw, just like a riblet. The new menu is going to take me a long time to work through and it looks like there is some very promising items there. The lady who waited on me was wonderful. Very warm and friendly. Not positive, but l think she is the owner(?). Beer is coming back very soon! Nothing better than a steaming bowl of phở and a large Sapporo. The atmosphere is still nice and cozy. Pay no attention to those nasty one star spews of hatred. Come check this place out yourself!!! You will be GLAD you did!!!

As a restaurant owner, I have noticed a pattern in Unilocal reviewer behavior. Whenever there is a change of ownership, Unilocalers are much quicker to shower the new owners with unfair one star reviews and speak as if the restaurant is doomed because so and so left, rather than providing a little constructive criticism so that the new owner actually has a chance to improve their business. Trust me, almost ALL restaurant owners want to improve their customers’ experiences at their restaurant. I find it a little pathetic that some customers won’t say anything face to face at the restaurant, but then hide behind a computer screen and spit as much filth as they please at the restaurant. You might be surprised at how receptive restaurant owners can be if you offer them constructive criticism, especially face to face, so that they also have a chance to make things right, then and there. As for the Simmering Phở, I see a lot of potential in this(very) new ownership. Yesterday I noticed they’ve updated their menus, and they look great. The atmosphere is pleasant and calming. Very authentic décor and artwork in the dining area, paired with some relaxing music. The owner/waitress, Tiffany, is extremely accommodating, always friendly, and actually hilarious once you get into a conversation with her. And the food has been great every time, in my experience. I get the #22, which is a «dry soup», so the broth is on the side. In the bowl we have egg noodle, pork, squid, shrimp, and even hard boiled quail eggs, all drizzled with a light teriyaki style sauce. Delicious… This is now my go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Morgan Hill.

Anytime I’m in Morgan Hill, I’ll eat here! Why? A Vietnamese mother who I bought the vegetarian Phở for residing at Pacific Manor told me the Phở tasted like«back like in Vietnam.» That’s WHY! I was so surprised when the mother blurted out her statement; she literally had tears in her eyes! Awwww~That’s so cool! She practically ate all of her Phở vegetarian soup but, she decided to save«a little bit for later.» So, please send your Phở soups to Mrs. Anh DuLong, please, ok?

I am only giving this place one star because it’s required to post a review, otherwise I wouldn’t give it any. Unfortunately new owners have taken over and the food and service is terrible. I feel bad having to post a disappointing review because I would love to see family owned businesses succeed. We had a slightly large party, our orders were taken and it not only took forever to get our food but two of our friend’s orders had been forgotten. The waitress finally brought their food in which one order was wrong. She tried to say that the ONE free mint tea she gave them should make the situation better. When it came to pay, she charged them full price. I explained to her that she should at least give a discount but she declined. I did let her know that we would not be returning. Terrible food. Terrible service.
