Really, really, really good food. Had the cream chicken enchiladas and the motojehe(sp.) burrito and I couldn’t stop eating! The bean sauce is killer, better than a regular enchilada sauce. And the burrito packed a nice heat if you like it spicy. I would eat here again and again!

There is a special place in the afterlife for the person who makes the Burrito Pastor. We moved to this area from Texas in October of 2015 fearing the worst for Mexican food. Between Las Salsas and one other Mexican restaurant in Lenoir, we have had our fears allayed. Not only is this restaurant as good as anything we had in the D/FW area, its better and the prices are lower. As fond as I am of their Burrito Pastor, everything else there is just plain excellent. They participate in as of this review.

My wife and I were coming home from the casino. Had to get gas and saw this restaurant. Now I wasn’t to hungry because just ate at casino but we like Mexican so we just stopped in for a snack to hold us till we got home. We got seated and got the complimentary chips and dip. The salsa was yellow, yellow salsa I said to my wife. So I asked the waiter if they had a red salsa. He pointed to a counter that 5 different salsa’s. So I tried them all. I like hot so I got some of that, which had a bite but still not to much. got the wife some of they labeled mild… that was spicier then the hot ones. So I orderer a Chile Relano, I know I spelled it wrong, it was small but I got a huge helping of rice, which was great, and my wife ordered a chicken burrito. It was huge! Got to looking around and all the plates that they were bringing out were huge portions. I heard then the sizzling of fajitas and the were bring out a skillet with meat heaped up so much it threatened to fall off the skillet. Prices were about the same as most Mexican places. It was a great place to eat. Food tasted good, restaurant was clean. Waiters and waitresses were very pleasant. The only thing that bothered me was the floor. It was so slick, not from grease, that when I sat down, my chair slipped out from under me. Good thing I caught myself. I think it was the chairs that made me slip. I would recommend Las Salsas to all

Very good but the server could barely communicate. All well and fine if he only spoke Spanish but i had some questions about the food. could have at least gotten someone that could answer them instead of pointing. But if you’re not really particular on your service, the food was really good. I guess you could say my ideal meal comes with a server that gives me the inside track on the goods ;)

The best beef taco combo I’ve ever had! A beef taco made with pulled beef for only $ 4.99.

Well well. What a disappointment. Went to celebrate an important event! Food was mediocre with lots of filler very little protein and loads of rice! Sent back one meal. Service was awful after 45 minutes one dinner plate served at a time. Service slow, un friendly, and non apologetic. They could not even get to the table to fill water glasses. Not coming back and don’t recommend to others.

I used to live in New Mexico so I always have very high expectations when it comes to Mexican food. I have yet to find a Mexican restaurant that lives up to my standards but this place was pretty good! I wish they used red and green chillis to make it a bit more spicy but overall for how big the portions are and the food quality not to mention the decent price’s I give this place a thumbs up!(:

This is our«Go-to» for Mexican food. I have never had a bad meal here. Love their food. We probably eat there every week. One thing, the place is SO popular that it’s loud and bustling with lots of people. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate spot, then this isn’t the place.

Subtle flavorings are the order of the house. La Salsa’s items tried this evening didn’t offer the usual ‘in your face’ power that I favor in my usual south of the border eateries. Non-the-less, my steak burrito had a fine grilled flavor, well-complimented by the cheese, onion, and pinto bean filling. And I was perfectly happy until I sampled my table-mate’s shrimp-based offering. Table-mate’s shrimp dinner featured grilled jumbo shrimp, each individually wrapped in its own little dinner-coat of BACON! Yes, BACON! I shall not forgive her omitting comments regarding this particular item as we scanned the menu from my «first-timer’s» perspective, LOL! The bacon imparted a bacony-yummy flavor to each and every full-sized shrimp, and its aroma filled our area of the dining area. Fellow patrons actually approached our table to inquire!(Such is the power of BACON!) The entrée surrounded a flavorful veggie-cheese-rice accessory that would serve as a self-standing menu item in most establishments. I shall return with a follow-up review with an exact entrée name! Table-mate is a weekly diner at La Salsa, and she assures that every item on the menu is worthy of repetition. However, the salsa bar sets La Salsa apart! Not all salsas are created equal, and La Salsa’s chilled salsa bar covers the range from safely mild to flaming hot. The health score was a solid 95, the dinning room noise level(full) held at 80db. The two of us ate full entrees with 2 beer and iced teas for less than 22 $, not including tip. A take-away box carried enough for a fine pair of breakfast omelets! Good ADA compliance; clean restrooms, too. I look towards my next visit!

The BEST fajitas I’ve ever had in my life. My husband and I get the La Salsa’s fajitas and make three meals out one order. We always get a side order of queso and take advantage of the salsa bar too. Quick efficient service and even better margaritas!

Las Salsas 2113 S. Sterling Street Morganton, NC28655 828−432−5050 I don’t have any idea what kind of rating to give this restaurant. I came here because when I was passing through Morganton yesterday, I noticed that the parking lot was totally full, and that there was a LONG line of people out the door… on a nondescript Monday. That speaks volumes to me about the restaurant’s popularity. The restaurant is a little shop worn, and the menus are dog eared, from heavy use. I ordered the beef flautas, which comes with rice and refried beans: $ 7.99 I ordered the top shelf Margarita made with Patron tequila: $ 8.99 I had to wait longer for someone to take my order — than I did for the food to be delivered. The gratis tortilla chips were good. My Patron Margarita was bright green, which took me aback for a few seconds, until I realized that it was in honor of St. Paddy’s Day. Duh! My waiter, who was also one of the bartenders, was a character.(The other bartender was a gorgeous young Latina lady.) He called me «buddy» and provided attentive service. He also poured an EX-cellent Margarita with a generous amount of Patron tequila. Patron is one of my favorite tequilas, the other being Cabo Wabo from Sammy Haggar. I’m not going to lie to you, on the way home I realized that I was a little bit buzzed. That’s what I call getting your money’s worth from an eight oz. drink. LOL! The Flautas? I like the type beef flautas that are crunchy and can be picked up and eaten as finger food, which is the way this item is eaten in Mexico. These flautas weren’t that type, but they hit the spot anyway. The rice was okay, nothing special, but it was noticeably freshly made, which I consider a plus. The refried beans, to echo the sentiments of another reviewer, were watery and thin. I didn’t care for them very much. The taste was adequate. The Salsa Bar? Six salsas. I chose pico de gallo, which I topped with super hot salsa — it was perfect. They also had a thin guacamole salsa, which was okay. I’d rather have fresh avocados. The sanitation rating is currently: 93.0%, which was kind of disappointing. The bar was hopping, the food came out quickly, the prices were reasonable, all the employees were courteous, friendly, and happy. The patrons looked to be enjoying themselves. All of the plates that I saw headed for diners looked delicious. When I received my cheque, since this was my first visit, I didn’t know where /how to pay for my meal. I asked my friendly waiter. He said pay at the register. I told him that this was my first visit. He said, «are you coming back?», and laughed. I said, «Yes, I believe that I will.» I had to request a to go box because of the generous serving size… and I’m slightly inebriated. All in all, a pleasant evening.

The best Mexican food restaurant I have ate at in NC. The portion size is huge. They have the best salsa bar I have ever tasted. The service is great. The prices are the same or better then other Mexican food restaurants serving smaller food portions. There is one thing I would change. Make the refried beans thicker. Even with that this restaurant earns 5 stars.

We stopped here on our way down the mountain and WOW! The portions were huge — enough for three meals and the salsa bar was the best part — like 9 different fresh made salsas to put on your food. Traditional Mexican American with a kick(flair) and the price was right. My husband and I ate for under $ 14. We will stop by here again when we are in town!

We have ate here 2 times so far and I’m already hooked. The food is outstanding. The portion sizes are huge. Both times I’ve had food leftover for lunch the next day! Prices are super reasonable. I must say this might just become my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

My family and I are regulars at Las Salsas. I live in Virginia now, but every time I’m home in NC we visit this restaurant. It’s our Friday night tradition. We usually get chimichangas which are AMAZING(stuffed with yummy vegetables and chicken or whatever meat you choose). Anytime I have deviated from my chimichanga and gotten something else I have not been disappointed. It’s much higher quality with fresher ingredients than I am used to at Mexican restaurants. I’ve yet to find a place that can rival Las Salsas.

There’s a reason Las Salsa’s is always busy. Simply put, this is the finest Mexican fare you’ll find anywhere. And all those people jamming up the front door area are their repeat customers! You can select from many different varieties of fresh salsa at the self serve salsa bar. Try them all, each has a distinct flavor. But don’t fill up on chips and salsa… because I promise you, whatever you order, it will be enough to feed two of you! And the quality, freshness, and flavor will blow you away. My wife and I regularly drive 49 miles one way to dine here. If I had to, I’d drive twice that. We want a Las Salsa’s in our home town. Until then, we will make the trek as often as we can.
