For those of you who do not know or are new to Morgantown, the Beanery is like a chiles or Applebee’s. They serve your average bar food, wings, burgers, sandwiches and much more. Their wings are really good and if you go on all you can eat wing night it can be a bit crowded and a longer wait but definitely a great deal! However the rest of their food is very hit or miss by which I mean some stuff a very good where as others are average. Like there spinach dip with chips for example in my opinion is awful but the queso dip with chips is great!

Stopped in on a Sunday evening after wrapping up a convention appearance. Wasn’t too busy only two other tables with people. Ordered an appetizer(crab dip) and a sandwich with a couple of buds. ATMOSPHERE: Kind of a crammed space– and I can see where space can be an issue during peak hours. It is a sports bar with tvs on the walls and sports pictures. Reminds me of the bar Adam Sandler takes the kid on Monday Night Football to watch the goddamn Jets play in Big Daddy(you know what I am talking about). Looked clean– rest room was clean. FOOD: We ordered crab dip which came out fast. It was really just a sliced bread stick which wasn’t sliced very well and we played hell with being fair in sharing. Dip part was good– wasn’t pasty or too rich. My turkey bacon sandwich was good– the southwest ranch I got on the side(been to other location) was a great addition as well. The only point of note is depending what you get the grease on top of grease may be too much– and I always forget to sub out fries for something else. SERVICE: Repeated refills– Ali was shining and getting us going. I’d marry her.

Nice pub to grab a quick bite and maybe watch a game. The waitresses are very pretty, that’s a big plus but not to attention oriented, that’s a minus. But, they are very pretty. That trumps everything

I have eaten here several times for workday lunches, and I am generally impressed with the entire setup. The establishment was clean and well maintained, even during lunch hours. The food was very good– I had several different burgers, as well as a couple of salads of the course of my visits, and was consistently pleased by the quality and flavoring of the food. The service was very very good. The right combination of attentive and not being in your face that allows one who is recharging mid day to be well cared for, but not bothered. Side note– for free wifi, theirs was quite quick. Very thoughtful, and useful.

I was here with my parents, aunt and uncle, as well as my sister and her husband just last Saturday. The place was kinda small, but what else would one expect from a restaurant built in a plaza? The food, however, was awesome. It was cooked to greatness, and the best part is the southwest ranch dip that seems to come with every meal. I would totally recommend this place to anyone dining in Morgantown.

This is my go to when in town for work or a WVU game. As Alumni I remember the 2 for 1 drink specials … well most of them I remember. But now when in town I have to go there, as get older it makes me think back of my younger days looking for specials and deals and the strange drinks. Thank god, I can afford them now and still order the same thing.

I believe this is a local chain and I have a thing about avoiding chain restaurants. In fact i went to visit Dirty Bird and they were closed so i tried Boston Beanery. The pub atmosphere was excellent so was the staff. The menu has a wide selection and takes little risk. Its a straight forward joit with decent grub at a fair price. My prime rib sandwich was pretty good by there was a sense of chain restaurant food in the presentation.

Great food and great service. If you any to have a good time this is the place. The only change is that on their prima pepperoni they should cut the large pepperoni into strips like they do at the Patteson Ave Beanery, but it still tastes great !

Horrid food, very poor service, not much else to say. Food was not what we ordered, was cooked incorrectly and we saw our waitress one time…

When visiting Morgantown, the Boston Beanery has become one of our favorite spots to eat. It has an old Irish Pub ambience with a board in the back counting down to St. Patty’s day. Menu is more American pub grub, although they do offer fish & chips. Their menu offers quite an array of items … from steak, chicken & seafood, to burgers, sandwiches, pizza and salads. Most should be able to find something on the menu that will appeal to their liking. My last visit I tried their Bacon-Cheddar Steak burger. It’s a good size burger topped with applewood bacon, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion & mayo. Comes with fries. Quite satisfying for a hungry appetite. Service has been very friendly, attentive and eager to be of assistance. Definitely one of my favorite spots to visit when I am in Morgantown!

I’ve been coming here on and off for over 25 years, and I was completely impressed with my bartender Steph who remembered my name even though I haven’t been in the Beanery in about a year. She was friendly and professional, and helped me rekindle my relationship with the Beanery’s club. Yum! I’m not sure who was at fault, maybe it had grown too thin in its selection of meat or perhaps they had changed breads… Or perhaps I had become to demanding in our sandwich relationship? It could have been any thing, but that doesn’t mater now, for Beanery a Club you’re back with a tasty, meaty vengeance. So as they say, «love is never having to say you’re sorry.» Let’s never argue again my delicious Beanery Club. I’m sure it was all the fault of the mustard, cheeky condiment is always trying to steal the show,

Came here on Monday, February 3rd with a group from work. We were seated quite quickly and they seemed happy to move three tables together for our seating. The waitress was friendly and took our drinks order followed by the food orders. Everyone seemed to enjoy their plates which varied from salads, to sandwiches, to a sirloin steak. The waiter came around often enough to reorder drinks and to take care of our needs. The bill was quite reasonable with the meals costing from $ 9 to $ 15 each. The restaurant wasn’t very full which is probably because the weather was cold, the sidewalks slippery, and park, as usual, quite difficult to find in town. There is no free parking anywhere. Despite the weather the restaurant seemed to be fully staffed and no one rushed us to finish. The music was not too loud. All in all, this is quite a nice place to visit, especially if you’re on a budget.

I love the vibe/feel to this bar. We didn’t order food, just drinks. Excellent service. The bartender was really nice and efficient. Pricing for beer was fair and good selection to choose from.

Great spot on High Street to grab dinner and beers. Tap beers, $ 4 for a bomber(big beer) $ 8 for a burger. Service was good and food was good, so no complaints here! We’ll be back during our next trip to Mo’town!

Very unfriendly young woman tending bar around 9 pm new years eve. She never smiled and even walked off while we were in the middle of requesting something. Obviously she did not want to be there.

My husband has fond memories of eating here, the original Boston Beanery location, when he was in college, so when we took our son to visit WVU this weekend, we decided to stop in and try it out. It was really much more of a bar than I was expecting, but at 5 pm on a non-football Saturday the atmosphere was laid-back and casual. My husband had a steak and my son had the ribs, and both of them were pretty good, I hear. I decided to order a new dish on the menu, the smothered chicken, and it was way too dry.(How you can manage to dry out smothered chicken is beyond me, but now I know it really is possible!) Also, whatever you do, don’t order the lemonade. It was really old-tasting Country Time and had a plasticky aftertaste. Yuck!

The fries here are delicious, but the rest of the food is just«meh.» Service can be hit or miss. The atmosphere is really fun, though, and that’s what drew me back every time. The bar is great; it’s a fun place to hang out, and when they have drink specials, it’s a good deal.
