Incredibly nice people with delicous food! My favorite spot in Morgantown. The owners really care about the quality of the food and it isnt hard to tell once you take a bite.

Been here a few times and finally getting around to a review.
Best fried chicken in the tri state area.
The reason they don’t get a 5 star review is because of their sides. They need to work on their mashed potatoes and their beans and rice.
I’ve had two or their sandwiches and they are delicious but be warned they are very messy. If they can get their side dish game up to par they would be a top notch eatery.

Had their chicken and waffles and it was delicious. Last week we had a huge order and I called it in and within 30 minutes I picked it up. They were very friendly and even gave plates and utensils for my big order. Definitely will be getting chicken from here whenever I’m in town

Really enjoyed every bite of my meal.
My boyfriend and I drove in town for a basketball game, and the two individuals that worked there were so so helpful. They both recommended the dirty bird and the buffalo chicken. I got the dirty bird, which was amazing, and my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken. We were extremely satisfied with our choices. The dirty bird had 2 different gravys, a fried egg, bacon, cheese… and all in a soft biscuit. I seriously wished every restaurant mastered a chicken sandwich like this place. My boyfriend and I always talk about how restaurants sometimes just slap a chicken in between two breads, add honey mustard, and call it a meal. NOT THIS PLACE. His buffalo chicken was so tasty, and had a huge portion of chicken.
If you’re looking for a great chicken sandwich, this place has it!

There’s a reason why this place is always busy and it has so many 5 star reviews: it’s amazing! There sandwiches are huge and definitely best fries in Morgantown. Their Georgia Rueben is a triple decker and I can barely finish half. Everything I’ve tried is delicious!

This is hands down the best sandwich shop in downtown Morgantown. In fact, I’d say all of Morgantown. The fried chicken is pretty darn good too.
Go hungry, because the sandwiches are large. The standard side is a small salad, which is a nice change of pace, but they have great fries too if you feel the need for massive calories.
It is a small, friendly place with great service and a great value.

In my opinion dirty bird is the best place to eat in Morgantown. Although they are not open late night, the food is very good. They hand batter the chicken In house and all the chicken is always so good! I always go with their signature sandwich, the dirty bird and I am pleased everytime especially with the consistency of all the ingredients. Definitely a must try if you have never been here!

Perfectly cooked chicken and a smile gets you five stars from this Unilocal elite! Let’s start from the top, we walked in. What seemed like the perfect time we were able to snag a table before it became very crowded. We browsed the menu and Unilocal of course before making our selection. The sandwiches seems huge abs yes they were. I decided to order a classic chicken and waffles.
This did not disappoint. I am not a fan of fried foods. But this fried chicken was cooked perfect!!!
It was not over seasoned not was it undercooked that gets two thumbs up from me automatically! I also was very happy with the service. I am pretty sure the owner came and asked us how was it tasting and brought us our food. I really like seeing that kind of stuff. My daughter had the two piece and some fries and again Ian no greasy fried food eater but I demolished the fries:-(and would like to it be judged… Kay thanks

was delicious well cooked perfectly seasoned and a just delicious tasting! I was so glad that My fiancé ordered it because that is win for the team lol. Great food smack dab in the middle of down town Morgantown:-) we will definitely return. Maybe next Saturday for a cheat meal lol

Outstanding (thanks Brennon O.) is the only word. The fried chicken, sides and sandwiches are all great.
Fried chicken is all made fresh and comes out crisp, juicy and ultra hot! Thai chili and hot sauce for dipping. The sides are literally arguably the best I’ve even had at a similar casual restaurant. Dirty rice! Garlic green beans! Mashed potatoes! Sandwiches are huge and messy but delicious. Everything is homemade. And staff is friendly and free refills on drinks!
If I lived in Morgantown, I’d be here at least once a week… at least.
They do close for about 5 weeks at the end of each summer. So if you’re there between mid-​July and the 3^rd week in August, you’re SOL!
And don’t just take my word for it. My company is doing a job in Morgantown and our it’s our foreman’s favorite place. And the fried chicken is so good he ordered only that his first 4 – 5 times eating there. And I went there for lunch yesterday with three other people and they all loved it too. The one guy even said he’d drive his family 2 hours from Johnstown, PA just to eat there.

I ordered the Dirty Bird. I got some great service and they have the best comfort food you can get in Morgantown. Mashed potatoes tasted great as well. The chicken was cooked to perfection.

We ordered everything from the club to the tahuna, buffalo chicken, Philly cheesesteak and chicken and waffles. Hands down on of the best sandwiches you’ll ever have. They do not cheat you on helpings either. Plenty of sandwich. Will return if we ever make it back.

This quaint streetside eatery is clean, not too noisy and the food is great!
We had sandwiches and were very happy. Packed with flavor.
The staff was friendly, even though this lunch hour was hoping with a wide mix of patrons.
We definitely recommend eating here and we’ll be back.
It is in the pricy side, with a sandwich at more than$ 9.00

What came first the chicken or the egg? Well at the Dirty Bird it doesn’t matter. I ordered the dirty bird a chicken breast with bacon, cheese, an egg and both buttermilk gravy and brown gravy on a biscuit !!! Wow is all I can say it was unbelievably good!!! If your in Morgantown it is a definite you have to have it. My only complaint is that I had it on the day I picked my son up for the summer wish I had it sooner I could’ve enjoyed it every time I was in town.

Another 5 star visit. Fresh hot and tasty chicken. I’m going to have to go for the tuna next time. Also good, but you come in and see and smell the chicken, and gotta have it. One of Morgantown’s put a smile on his best eateries. Locally owned goodness. Clean dining room and restrooms, friendly people and the owner checks up on you to make sure your visit is going well.

Just WOW. If you are ever in Morgantown, WV please go spend all your calories here. All of our sandwiches (see my pix) were incredible, sides, delicious. The french fries were crispy and perfect. I do NOT recommend eating anything before or after because portions are delightfully large. Staff is friendly, and for a small restaurant everything was super clean.
PS: Their chicken is the freshest you can get. Just incredible!
