More like 3.5, but definitely best buffet in the area. Haven’t been here in years, but decided to try it out again with a friend. Seafood isn’t the freshest, but it’s good for the price. And there are a lot of options – clams, mussels, fried scallops, sashimi salad, and of course sushi. There’s also chicken teriyaki, dumplings, fried rice, etc. They actually used to have crab legs but I didn’t see it when I went for lunch. As another reviewer mentioned, the green tea ice cream tastes more like vanilla. And there are no toppings, if you care for that sort of thing lol. Besides the soft serve, Minado also offers fruit(oranges and melons) and mini cakes for dessert. I tried all of them(because why not it’s a buffet) and I was surprised that I liked the banana cake the most. Skip the cream puffs, you can get better ones at Costco. Lunch hours on weekends are 11:30AM-3PM, but they stop serving new food around 1:45−2PM. However I overheard a customer ask one of the workers to replace a dish so I guess you can always request more food. Hibachi and crêpe stations are not open for lunch.

The food was good but pricey for a Buffet. The place is OK. Considering its small and packed. One thing that amused me is the crêpe station which i dont usually see on some buffets.

Do not come here for lunch. Hibachi is closed, crepes are closed. 17 $ lunch? ridiculous.

A great place to get your fill of sushi. The website needs some work, I say call in. Prices fluctuate. The more you pay, the more you get. It’s a great place for a big crowd of family/friends.

Brought my whole family; nothing like teenage… ehem, young men, to test an all-you-can-eat buffet. The greeter and wait staff were friendly and all wore a smile. The place is spacious, clean and family-friendly. The food is nicely setup and displayed. All the food(sushi, hot foods and desserts) were all yummy!

I love this place. They have a lot variety of asian food and nice selection of desserts as well. Try the greentea icecream if you are into greentea and icecream :)

This is a place you go when you just want to go crazy and eat your weight in food. Granted the food here is not amazing, they have a pretty big selection of food. A wide range of different sushi rolls, crab legs, dumplings, soups, and other creations are nicely laid out buffet style. This place is about quantity not quality, but they are nicer than your cheap Chinese buffet. The restaurant is clean, and so is the buffet area. I recommend if you want to go into a food coma.

Good food — hot food grilled and fried, sushi, salads, raw, and rolls. Deserts are nice too. I’ve been coming here for at least 6 – 7 years — it is always good here. Sushi is hit or miss — often too much rice and moderate quality of sushi.

Pricey but clean and lots of selection. The food is good and staff friendly. Sushi selection is immense. Wish they had more variety of sashimi and some other dishes. The fried sushi is bland and after sitting kind of mushy. Soup was good.

I have been at Minado quite a few times. The variety of food is pretty good– there’s a chinese buffet style side, and a sushi rolls style side. I think the sushi rolls lean heavy on the spicy side, so there’s only limited selections if you don’t like spicy food. The rolls and sushi pieces have more rice than a sushi place where you would pay by the piece, which is a little disappointing. They have grilled shrimp on a stick that was really good, but the poop chutes were still in the shrimp, so I had to eat around that.

I’ve been to the one in North Wales and they’re about the same. There’s quite a number of rolls and they were pretty good. I love the random selection of korean cuisine they have here. The udon station is lacking, I got like 4 noodles. The hibachi was good but the crêpe station, disgusting. My strawberries looked mutated. The green tea soft serve was very good though. Definitely not worth the 36 dollars, I would lower that price.

I dine at Minado every few months. The selection is great, items are replaced quickly and food is deelish. Everything was off on New Year’s Eve… except the service, which was great! The sushi didn’t taste as fresh as usual and every roll was spicy(even though they weren’t listed as such). Most of the hot food items were empty without being replaced despite many customers«stalking» the refills. The hostess seated large, loud parties right on top of quieter tables, despite a lot of room elsewhere. We were seated next to a table of 12 year old boys with no parents on site. You can imagine what was going on at that table. The worst part was they had no idea how much dinner costs and left $ 1 for our outstanding waitress. I covered more than enough for both tables with my tip. Will try again, but if it’s not great, will(sadly) need to let this place go.

Have eaten here for a while, and we had lunch last Saturday. The option is kinda limited compared with $ 32 dinner. Do not get me wrong, there are still many sushi and Chinese food options. I happened to noticed how the rolls and nigiri were made. The rice was made first, hundred of them. Fish was pre cut into pieces and stored in the fridge. Staff first put twenty rice doll lining up and put fish on each of them. Of course, no one expect handy tight up for each piece. The green tea ice-cream do not have tea flavor at all, instead it more like vanilla. Anyhow still a good choice for lunch.

This is a good place to go for all you can eat sushi for lunch. The price for the lunch buffet weekdays only is $ 17.95 a bit high, weekend lunch buffet is $ 21.95 way to high, it use to be cheaper before but they keep on raising the price. You really have to want to eat sushi to come here other wise you wont get good value for your money, there is another restaurant named cinnamon in the same strip mall that serves an Indian buffet lunch that has much flavorful food at a better value . For dinner its too expensive around $ 30 and I don’t see good value to come here during dinner.

I have been to many sushi buffets and Minado wins in terms of variety and quality of sushi. If you just want to gorge yourself on some decent maki, this is the place. Their hot food is largely not good, and honestly just an add on the main star of this buffet. If you’re not coming for sushi, you’d be better off going to a sit down Japanese place. Minado is easily accessible from Rt. 10, though be warned traffic can become heavy there during rush hour. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is so enormous you never have to wait to be seated. For impatient folks like myself, this is a big plus. The décor is clean, with high ceilings and dark wood. Its definitely a bit more upscale looking than your average buffet. The buffet area is very large and well-lit(at least in the sushi area). There’s a weird darker corner over by the ice cream machine/crêpe area. Variety, not necessarily quality, shine here. The sheer number of maki roll combinations, sashimi, and sushi will keep you plenty busy. There’s like 25 different salads, a grill station where you can choose various meats on sticks, an udon bar, crêpe station, a dessert area loaded with mini cake squares and fresh cut fruit, and mounds of tempura. Your mileage may vary on all these options. The tempura can be soggy, many of the salads look kind of unappetizing, and not every roll combo is a winner. Fish size in the sushi can also vary depending on the person making it. I like trying lots of different things and rarely order the same thing twice at a restaurant, so its pretty well-suited for ADD diners like me. Its also pretty convenient for larger groups due to the spacious dining area. For me, its a place that works to my dining preferences(no waits, tons of variety). I come probably once every 3 months to indulge. If I’m not in the mood to gorge myself, I go with some higher quality fish from Asahi.

So, I’ve been going to Minado for a good amount of time now. Each time I went in for lunch with some coworkers of mine, we would see it as a treat. I mean c’mon, a lunch buffet of all you can eat sushi and hibachi? Not too bad, right? Well I went there recently to celebrate my 6 month anniversary with my boyfriend and needless to say, we had a different experience than the one I’m used it. First of all, it was the same set up I was accustomed to during the lunch hours. Not a bad thing or anything. The food was all lined up on the different buffet lines. A plethora of sushi. Teriyaki’d meats under heat lamps, The usual. When I actually started to eat my food, I noticed that there was something missing. Flavor. A majority of the food I had was either flavorless or it had too much. For example, I had some chicken wings because I love me some chicken wings. Makes sense, right? I bit into them and I honestly couldn’t finish my share. They were way too sweet and they actually a little cold on the inside. Not too hot on the quality to say the least. Unfortunately I also had that too when I had some chicken teriyaki which definitely put a damper on my mood and experience because those are two of my favorite items. The one thing that got me at the end of our meal was the price. I can see now why my friends and I always preferred dining during lunch. For two people having a romantic dinner on the weekend, you’ll pay a grand total of 70 bucks(that’s just the meal alone). Here’s my thing: if I wasn’t eating bland and cold food, I would totally be ok with this. But man, 70 bucks? Never again. I like Minado. I really do. But this one experience honestly turned me off from the place. I’ll go there for lunch when it’s cheap to eat but for dinner with prices like that? Never.

Came back for lunch again and doubt I’ll come back again. The rolls are as a thick with rice as ever and the amount of fish is shrinking. It is pretty shameful considering that most Chinese buffets don’t do this. This has pretty much turned me off from eating most of the rolls which is the primary reason I come here. Wish they would just raise their prices instead of playing these games. They also seemed to have swapped out their teriyaki steak and the hunk of blue fish on weekdays for inferior tasting Tilapia fillets and calamari rings.

Really yummy seafood buffet. at $ 18 its pretty expensive for lunch, but their whole fried shrimp on a stick, stuffed clams, and calamari salad are my favorite. The sushi selection is great, but way too filling! So I save the sushi for when I get take out! Its $ 0.55 per maki roll piece and i think 1.30 or 1.50 for a piece of sushi/sashimi. I fill up a tray of 12 – 15 pieces –all the different fancy ones, and it’s usually less than $ 10. Great for lunch. You can also fill up a tray of their hot food for 10.95, but I don’t think its as good of a value as the sushi

Minado is a pretty decent place to grab a sushi-filled meal. It is buffet style, with all you can eat for around $ 20 during lunch. The dining room is quite casual and very open, with rows and rows of tables. The service is quite swift, someone will come to give you drinks and take away plates very quickly. As for the food, there are a lotttt of options, but that doesn’t mean every option is a good one. I’d give the sushi section a 4⁄5 based on the price, the sushi section contains many rolls and nigiri options, but they do load up on the rice to fill you up I suppose.(If you don’t finish all the rice on your plate there is a surcharge) the fish itself is of decent quality, not necessarily the freshest of the freshest, but still good. I think the nigiri is usually a better option than the rolls – they have everything from the standard tuna and salmon to white fish, octopus, yellowtail and salmon roe. The rolls are usually mixed with a lot of sauce so they’re not always my favorite option, but I know some people like their sushi that way. For the hot food section, I’d give them a 3.5÷5, I think they recently changed the food here and it is better than before. Most of the items here seem to be fried(fried clams, fried meat, etc.) and kind of oily as a result. They do have a tempura selection here too. The food isn’t really anything to write home about in this section. The dessert selection is pretty great though, probably a 4 – 4.5÷5. They serve mini cakes cut into little cubes, as well as a jello and fruit section, ice cream station, and crêpe station. The crepes are okay, I’ve had much better, but the green tea ice cream is pretty solid. The cakes are really the standout in the dessert section. I really like the raspberry cake, the matcha cake and the mocha cake. You honestly could have a full meal just eating each of the different cakes here, there’s just that many options.

I’m surprised i’m not the Duke of this place by now, from the number of times I come here; because… yeah — its pretty good, a little pricey, but does have a good range of cooked and raw foods. I generally forget to check-in as i’m the gavone that’s usually salivating standing at the table impatiently waiting to get my drink order(as usually that’s the sign that its clear to go up). Don’t judge me though — because at least i’m not the type that stands hogging the tongs waiting for the snow crab legs to come back out.
