My family loves this place. Something on the menu for every taste. Last night a large party came in and somehow after placing our orders we were forgotten. The mark of a good establishment is to correct the issue. They did so quickly and courteously. The food like always was excellent. Thank you for everything. I have the cowboy steak and it was perfect. As was the halibut, NY Strip and the shellfish pot. See you again soon

The dining experience at Tabor Road Tavern is consistently sublime; from the wonderful ambiance, the outstanding service, and the amazing food, it just doesn’t get any better than this. While my family and I have been here a number of times, our most recently experience was yesterday evening. My daughter graduated from HS, and we chose Tabor Road Tavern as our celebratory dining venue. We(7 of us) were seated immediately by a friendly hostess and greeted promptly at our table by a team of two servers(Steve and Chris, I believe) who proceeded to make us feel like royalty. Everyone made it a point to congratulate my daughter on her graduation and even surprised her with a complimentary dessert at the end of the meal. Additionally, the general manager stopped by to ensure that we were enjoying our meals, etc. The service was outstanding from Steve and Chris and their assistant(whose name I did not get unfortunately). They were warm, friendly, attentive, and thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu. The food is phenomenal! Two of us had the fish tacos, and the rest had some type of Steak(Filet Mignon and NY Strip). We indulged in various sides, the most amazing being the grits. If you haven’t tried them here, they are a must. In fact, when we initially ordered them, one of our servers came back with the bad news that they did not have them that evening. We were disappointed but chose other sides. A few minutes later, our server came back to let us know that the chef was making up a batch of grits just for us! Talk about going above and beyond! Most of us were too full to order dessert, but my husband managed to fit in some blueberry shortcake — he said it was delicious. If you are looking for an upscale, incomparable dining experience, you cannot go wrong at Tabor Road Tavern!

We were here Father’s Day for dinner about 7:30. The restaurant was mostly empty. I’m going to figure that was the reason for the over-attentive servers. We both had the Wagyu flat iron steaks with bleu cheese. It was well prepared and tasty, but it was served on top of an arugula salad, which was a bit strange. We both immediately moved the steaks to the side to avoid having wilted lettuce under the steak.(The menu listed the arugula as a side item, expected it on the side.) We didn’t order appetizers, but we did have dessert, crème brûlée and peanut butter skillet brownie with gelato. Both were very well prepared and good. Other than the overly attentive servers, one with a penchant for using plural pronouns(«have WE decided what WE’RE having?), it was a nice dinner. Probably won’t be back soon because the prices are pretty high for what you get. I should be a lot more wowed for these prices.

Decided to go out with wife on Saturday evening and she suggested this as a place she might like to try. I hadn’t looked at menu beforehand, but I was game. Pulled in about 5:45 pm, greeted very nicely by hostesses, who promptly sat us at a table. First impression is it is a very nice place and atmosphere. Upscale would be a word. I would say that we were probably not expecting that, but the servers and house staff made it very welcoming. Once seated we were greeted by Brandon. Very nice young man who informed us we would be helped by he and Nick. Promptly took a drink order. Nick stopped by to make time recommendations from menu… I will say both gentlemen were very professional and extremely polite and nice. I’d give them both an A+. We took Nick’s recommendation on Appetizers and had the Tavern Trio. Very fresh Ahi tuna, crab cakes and shrimp spring rolls. Very good. For dinner my wife had the Seafood pasta while I ordered the 12oz sirloin. Both were prepared very well and we both thought they were delicious. We did skip dessert this time. Last on the way out, while waiting for my wife, the new general manager Charlie came up to ask me how was our meal, and had some questions about experience. I mention this because I appreciated his enthusiasm and his manner. It was our first time here but the staff made this a really nice evening do we will be back soon.

What happened to this place??? Used to be so good. Now it’s just fair. We were a party of 10 and the service was just plain awful. 2 waiters and they both seemed clueless. Let me teach you something folks… these places make most of their money on the drinks. However these 2 waiters may have never been told that because they did not once ask anyone at the table if they wanted another drink! I have never ever seen that before at a restaurant. AND they never refilled our water unless we asked. And then when we ordered dessert neither of them asked if we want coffee or cappuccino! Wake up guys! The food is still good however and I do recommend that. I had the tuna tartar crisp to start, split the Vermont Goat Cheese & Local Strawberry Salad(excellent), and had the rare seared tuna as an entrée(fair). My hopes are that they read this review and consider improving because this was one of our favorite places to go to.

A party of four birthdays for three a total of five. reservations were recommended and I am so happy I made them as this place was hopping busy, out choice of table /booth was available. Next to the bar was a bit louder crowd but we got passed it and joined in. Now the service. Our waitress very attentive awesome sense of humor felt like old friends the waiter very knowledgeable of the menu and questions we had, very pleasant gentleman. The food AWESOME! Unfortunately our food didn’t make the photo shoot. We were supposed to post out plates but devoured them before we remembered ops! We forgot. However without the pictures, our experience was fun tasty and overall, we will return to this establishment. Oh! By the way I had the special of that day which was the AGEDCOWBOYSTEAKRIBEYE… yum yum! Taste was different then the regular Cowboy strip however the tenderness of both were equally the same… Bottom line great staff great fun great food… Parking is ??? Cheers Dwayne

Overpriced and not worth it. Tuna was seared well however the 6 slices of tuna served over a bed of «Asian stir fry vegetables» that tasted more of sugar and vinegar(they are not supposed to be pickled) is not worth the $ 25 price

We’re back! Waygu flat iron steak with creamed spinach– it was very good. Crab cake appetizer — big crab cake and it was delicious. You can easily make this a dinner if you order a side. Goat cheese and pear salad– delicious! Definitely give it a try.

Food is decent. But like with all Harvest Group facilities the staff just rushes you through your meal. You would think at those prices that you would get to enjoy your meal a little more.

Very nice restaurant and dining experience. Décor and all made it feel like you were in a lodge and on vacation somewhere. servers were friendly and attentive… not sure if we really needed 2 servers — 1 for drinks and 1 for food. Appetizers: Calamari and clam chowder were good. Short ribs and mac n cheese were ok. For main course, 5 out of 6 of us ordered the special cowboy rib-eye…and we got the last ones for the evening too(or at least that’s what they told us). The other person ordered the halibut, which was good but such a small portion for the price. Dessert: Doughnuts and Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée were ok. Overall good dining experience… too bad it wasn’t cold enough for them to have the fireplace on at the end of March. Will be back!

Food is the best American cuisine within a 10 mile radius of the restaurant. Food execution is excellent 90% of the time. The hidden gem is the bar. Pete, Frank and Ben who work Monday through Friday are wonderful hosts. My wife and I exclusively eat dinner at the bar and have for a few years now. The service goes above and beyond and they make a tasty cocktail. I don’t imagine everyone would rate TRT5 stars, but Pete, Frank and Ben are why we return week after week, and will continue to do so as long as they’re behind the bar. Cheers!

Beautifully finished wood, high ceilings, candle lit and cozy makes this restaurant a go to. Do try: Tuna tartare Autumn curry Black pearl salmon(with 5 grain pilaf, butternut squash, cauli and a Mediterranean style yogurt TRUFFLEFRIES: O Beer on tap is limited to 4 selections, but whatever, who cares, the food is the main reason to go anyway :)

We had a team lunch here and the appetizers were delicious, specifically the artichoke and calamari. The balsamic on the calamari added a kick to it and I loved it. The salmon with arugula and barley entrée was decent but wasn’t fantastic. The crème brûlée and Japanese berry tea were also tasty! I would def come back again :)

I’ve been to the TRT at least 50 times and have never written a review before. My experience last night has me conflicted and I felt compelled to post this. Some restaurants are consistently great, excel on all levels and make each customer feel like a regular, or at least welcome like an old friend. More popular restaurants tend to get«a bit full» of themselves, almost doing you a favor by allowing you to eat there. My wife and I arrived early at 7:20 pm for a 7:45 pm reservation for 4 people. The reservation was made by our friends. I checked in after walking in the door with the hostess. I gave the name of our friends and said we’d be at the bar waiting for them. I specifically asked her to note this so that when our friends walked in, they could join us at the bar for drinks before dinner. My wife and I grabbed drinks at the bar. The bartender couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We enjoyed ourselves. At about 7:50 pm, I noticed off in the distance that our friends were being seated at our table for dinner. I asked my wife to join them while I settled the bar tab. I then walked over to the hostess stand and gently asked the woman who checked us in why she hadn’t asked our friends to join us at the bar as I had requested.(This was only 30 minutes from when we had first arrived at TRT.) She didn’t recognize me, didn’t remember that I had asked her anything and appeared apathetic. Another woman standing next to her told me I «was mistaken and didn’t ask for such a request.» The manager came over and asked me «what the problem was» and felt«I was overreacting.» I didn’t allow this to ruin my evening and joined my wife and friends at the table. Our friends sat as they didn’t think we were even at the restaurant as the hostess neglected to mention it. Our servers, Nick and Emmett, couldn’t have been nicer. They were helpful, attentive and courteous, Nick a bit too attentive, but it was fine service. The food was good but not great. The food at TRT has evolved into nothing special. The menu is tired and nothing any of us ate was memorable. I do think that they need a little bit of reinvention at the TRT food-wise. The manager passed by our table a few times and gave me the evil eye. It was unnecessary and inappropriate. After all, I didn’t do anything wrong and I am the customer. Or were they just doing me a favor by allowing me to eat there? I am not sure I will be back there which is unfortunate as it is close to my home and office. There are better places to go that make you feel more welcome, have better food and give you a better bang for the buck. TRT has become a little too self confident.

Loved their sister restaurant Grato that is right next door so we decided to drive up and give Tabor a try. Beautiful décor upon entering and was greeted wonderfully by the maitre d and hostess. They were so personable and friendly that I was looking forward to the service through the meal. I guess I shouldn’t have set the standards as high as they set the bar. We waited a few about 10 minutes until a server came and took our drink order. About another 10 minutes passed and the drinks were delivered which we both opted for the Trap Rock brewed ghost pony beer. Beers were crisp and had a nice hop but not over powering taste. Finally the server Ben came over aftertaste least 25 minutes at least since we sat down and ask if we were ready to order… No «we have xxxx on special today» or «this is really good» just a basically What do u want I’m busy give me your order. We passed on the apps cuz we were just so damn hungry! I ordered the ancho bourbon pork chop with raised cabbage apples and raisins. Pork was cooked absolutely perfect with a nice light pink hue in the middle. The cabbage was braised down to perfection although it was just a tad sweet for my liking. Overall a solid solid dish. She has the blue cheese crusted waygu flat iron. Steak was delicious! The blue cheese gave it a nice elevated bite as well as the steak being cooked a perfect medium rare. Under the steak was a nice onion and potato hash which soaked up the flavor of the steak. Another great dish We got 2 sides because we were starving upon ordering and so happy we did. The Brussel sprouts were out of this world. Shaved, cooked down, and loaded with bacon! awesome! The other side was the Mac and cheese with Tasso. Pretty damn good too although needed a little more seasoning imo. The food was definitely delicious as well as the décor and setting of the place. The huge problem I had was with the service. The waiters refilling the water and clearing the table were great but Benjamin the actual waiter was horrible! We waited foreverrrr for out orders to be taken, didn’t inform of of any specials until I had to ask of here was any(also stated the price of the«steak» like I was 10), wasn’t asked how everything was or needed anything until half way though the meal, and finally was brought a dessert menu and didn’t go over anything or ask for coffee or a after dinner drink, the only thing asked was«what can I get u» when he came back to take a dessert order… No thanks I’m good. Listen maybe he had a bad day but it was just piss poor for such a great establishment. I would come back but this time would opt for the bar as I even saw some food come to the bar that wasn’t on the menus at the table we had a few feet over. 3.5 stars but Unilocal doesn’t off the half.

I’m upgrading Tabor Tavern to 5 stars after having another amazing lunch here. The service was excellent as usual. Christmas decorations are really nice and the real fireplace is great. My goat cheese arugula salad was amazing! The dressing and all the ingredients worked so well together! Fried goat cheese was crisp outside and soft and creamy inside. The side of shrimp was perfectly cooked — shrimp was huge and tasty. Chocolate peanut butter bombe was really good. The base is a chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse covered in chocolate on top of it. The peanut butter mousse was melting in my mouse. I definitely prefer Tabor Tavern to Grato for lunch because of the menu choices. Tabor has large variety of sandwiches/burgers/salads where Grato has more entrée choices.

Came here for a company lunch. Nice interior and intimate décor. Attentive service. Maybe I got the wrong items, but food was mediocre. I had the chopped salad, one of the chicken dishes, and ice cream. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. They also had finger foods for appetizers. Fried artichoke was a big hit, sliders and tomato/mozzarella were ok. Definitely willing to come back though and try some other regular menu items.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants! Been here multiple times and have never been displeased with the service or quality of the food. The atmosphere is very charming and unique — feels like a cozy log cabin with a large fireplace in the center. It is usually pretty busy, even during the week. In the summer, it’s nice to be able to sit outside, but I enjoy sitting inside being by the fire as well. Usually we start with the spring rolls that we share among the table. My two favorite dishes have been the hanger steak and the duck. Both very juicy and flavorful without being overly heavy. Finally, the best part of the meal was the dessert which was the homemade donuts that they served with a variety of dipping sauces. I’ve taken family members here for birthday dinners and they all have enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Double Date night led me here. We started off with Spiked Cider– a rich, warm combination of cinnamon, custom butter, and spiced rum. Perfect by a fire. Then the Cherry Almond Sour– very cherry, secretly strong! We then had the TRT Platter of spring rolls– hot out a fryer, tuna tartar with sesame seeds, and jumbo lump crab cakes(very crabby) as well as P.E.I. Mussels in White sauce(white wine, garlic, parsley, and lemon) which came with toasted bread. For my entrée, I devoured the Bleu Cheese Crusted Skirt Steak with sweet potato hash, bacon, and greens. It really stood out in the menu and I’m glad it did. At this point, I was flying high and ordered a Cinnamon Bun(like a Cinnabon but less messy) AND a warm Apple Crisp– so fitting for the cold weather. I left warm and giddy.
