I have Been to cosis a few times! Went in yesterday and had a great experience — 3 members of staff were very friendly and helpful. However, today I went in and experienced the worst service I have ever got. The middle aged dark hair cashier with glasses could not have been any ruder to me when I ordered a chicken Caesar salad wrap. He tried to make out like I didn’t know what I was talking about. The man who served me yesterday was more than helpful to give me this but the man today was horrible. I got charged around $ 7 yesterday for a much bigger portion and I got charged near $ 10 today for a portion half the size and felt like I was being laughed at by that rude man. Very disappointing how the service could drop so much from one day to the next. Thank you to the man and the 2 cashiers that served me yesterday — especially as the snow was so bad and it was great that they were so good to open. However, somebody needs to sort out the man who served me today. Ridiculous.

Had the salmon salad and chicken noodle soup, only small piece of salmon but the salad was really good, and the chicken noodle soup was well balanced and really tasty!

So, when I wrote this, the general rating was 3 stars. I think this reflects a couple of dynamics — the neighborhood has a fairly sophisticated consumer, and the restaurant casts itself as a sophisticated soup & sandwich shop. Think Panera /St Louis Bread Co., but with more Euro-trendiness. Just like Panera, I like Cosi’s ‘Pick Two’ combo. While the sandwich is small, in that scenario, the ones I’ve had, have been tasty. I’ve also enjoyed the soups. Unlike Panera, Cosi has a cool ‘design your own’ bar for salad or sandwiches — a sort of deli option. I’m too lazy to try this, but the variety of ingredients appears to be substantial. Also, unlike Panera, Cosi offers Coca-Cola products. That’s worth a star. ;-) They also have other trendy drink options, I believe, but they had me at Diet Coke. You’ll be walking to get here. There is no street parking out front, but there are a few parking garages within a block or two — an easy 5 minute walk, and that’s not a bad experience on most days in downtown Morristown. Lunch has been busy, every time I’ve visited. Here again, I think the 3 stars is a bit harsh, given the reception by patronage.

I always have the signature salad since it’s so good! The menu has lots of delicious, healthy options. A regular lunch-time favorite!

I was given two gift certificates to Cosi for volunteering at a county non-profit(manning the sexual assault hotline) and when I went to redeem them, the manager implied I had forged them and claimed the signature was not his own. I have no idea if someone at some point in the process had forged them(I suspect one of his own employees if at all) but I left with no food and the feeling that I had just been accused of a crime. The customer service was terrible. When on jury duty I had eaten there frequently, and just got a new job down the street but will NEVER eat there again.

Have not had any negative experiences so far. I have only had the TBM and the Hummus sandwich, so I can’t say much about any other food, but I have always enjoyed my sandwiches at Cosi. Casual place for sit-down or take-out. It seems to get pretty busy during lunch hour on weekdays.

I’ll start be saying that I LOVE the food here. My one star rating is not a reflection on the quality/taste of the food. Instead, it reflects my unhappiness with a Cosi cashier, who tried to rip me off. I used to frequent Cosi when their Livingston restaurant was open. Since it closed, I’ve only patronized the Morristown restaurant a couple of times because it’s not convenient and there’s no parking. Today I visited this location and ordered a salad and sandwich for takeout. My check came to more than $ 27.00, which I immediately thought was abnormally high. I gave the cashier my card, thinking to myself that Cosi’s prices have increased steeply since my last visit, perhaps 6 – 8 months ago. As I moved over to the food-prep counter, I reviewed the receipt that had just been handed to me. Surprise! There was a $ 10 «Service Charge.» My food had actually totaled less than $ 17, which was more consistent with the prices in the past. So I went back to the cashier and asked what was the mysterious«Service Charge?» He immediately apologized – he didn’t seem the least bit surprised – and said«it must have slipped.» Okay, what does«it» mean and what does«slipped» mean? A few seconds later, as he was(hopefully) voiding my first transaction, he said«it rang-up a catering order.» Again, what is «it» in this context. And now, instead of «it» slipping, «it» characterized my small purchase as a «catering» order and tacked-on an extra $ 10. Yea, right. No, cashier dude. You tried to scam me. That extra $ 10 was going straight in your pocket. Now I’m wondering how many times per day you try to perpetrate this fraud on unsuspecting Cosi customers and how often does it work. Moreover, how do you decide on whom to try to run this scam? Is it something about the customer’s appearance??? Cosi’s corporate offices need to audit every transaction that you have rung-up to see how many of them contain this«Service Charge.» If it’s a small order, like mine was, that should be a red flag. If the customer paid by credit card, they should adjust the charge downward. And, oh, in case it’s not obvious, Cosi should terminate you pronto.

came for a quick lunch, but they forgot my salad and coffee until reminded. Apparently they have many many take-out orders, but I don’t think it’s an excuse. Besides, food was just okay.

I don’t care how busy you are… Don’t make me wait ½ hour before you tell me you don’t have what I ordered! Besides, the place smells like an old shoe.

Prob the WORST place in Morristown to get lunch. They constantly mess up my order and the food taste HORRIBLE. Very SALTY and very FATTY — a Caesar salad has over 1000mg of salt and 54g of Fat. My work orders from here all the time and even though its a free lunch, I decided to give up on Cosi. I’d rather pay for my own lunch than get food from here for free. If you want to change something up in your order, forget about it. Cosi doesn’t care. If you ask for no tomatoes, you get extra tomtoes. No cheese… eh. they will put it on anyway. Plus, their fruit in their salads are always nasty and old. Looks like the cut the fruit the night before and then put it in the salad. Pears in the signature salad are all brown and the grapes are mushy and slimy. The bread is covered in a thick layer of salt and everything is VERY salty and VERY fatty. Take a look at the nutrition info. Cosi is VERY bad for you and I would suggest going elsewhere.

This is a favorite of my son and we go here very often. I love the Tandoori Chicken sandwich(light version). It is also great that I can get carrots instead of chips to keep myself under control. The tomato soup is also so delicious. The only thing I really do not like is the coffee. It is not just this Cosi. The others I have been to just can not seem to make a decent latte. The staff is really friendly and I think they are under new management. In the past when my office called we were told they would not deliver to our office. Last week they we called and they delivered to us. Everyone liked it and I expect that we will be ordering again in the future.

Solid sandwiches, good soup, nice service, can’t complain. I’ve eaten at many a Cosi in my travels, and this is no different. Spacious with a solid menu. Good sandwiches, yummy soups for when I’m sick, and at a good value. I like the bread a lot too, personally prefer Cosi over Panera. This location in particular, on the three times I’ve been in have had very nice and efficient service — good people doing the job well. Combine with solid food and a nice place, and Cosi’s a winner in my book.

I really enjoy Cosi. I’m a big fan of the ability to order online. All I have to do is walk over and pick it up and I’m on my way. The Signature Salad and the Tomato Basil Mozzarella sandwich are my favorites. The smoothies are also excellent.

Really tasty sandwich! I wish they were bigger! I had the Pesto Melt and was really pleased with the flavor and texture. I’m pretty sure if I went back I would order the same thing. This place is good for groups and for small parties. Don’t go in expecting huge portions though! You’ll be disappointed and hungry.

Good sandwiches… BAD coffee. I ordered the chicken pesto melt and it was really good. It’s not your average chicken pesto sandwich where they use plain chicken with a pesto spread. I could tell that the chicken was actually cooked in a pesto sauce, and it really made the difference. The bread was perfect, slight toasty but still soft. The coffee was very bitter and somewhat burnt tasting. My usual cream and sugar didn’t make it any better. Just avoid the coffee and you’ll be fine. I really like the atmosphere. The employees were nice. It is very laid-back and if I was a student, it would definitely be a place where I would like to study.

Good hearty sandwiches that feel much healthier than just about anywhere I’ve ever eaten. Big statement, but true. Fresh, healthy, tasty are only a few words that come to mind.
