Evicted 27 May 2015. This place introduced my children to bulgogi, but no more marinated steak here, not ever. Dangit.

Usually when you have a place trying to do two cuisines at one time, they fail at both. This is not one of those usual places. I have gotten both Japanese sushi dishes and Korean meat dishes from here and they have been impressive, amazing, and delicious. The service staff are friendly, quick, and help round out the overall fantastic experience I get from coming here. You will NOT be disappointed!

Came here with a friend craving Japanese and ended up ordering Korean. Good service, decent food and good portions. Bibimbap was strangely oily though, as were the dumplings we ordered– also quite sure that the dumplings were not made on premises. With so many other options around, probably wouldn’t come back.

One of the less«mainstream» places in Morristown. Came with 3 coworkers for a dinner before going out to drink. BYO which is great for a pregame dinner spot and sushi was excellent. Tried a lot of different rolls and they were all great. The service was nice as well. No complaints for this Sushi joint

I really love this place! They offer a really great selection of rolls, and it’s fresh. I have only really eaten the Japanese food, but it tastes really good. Great price as well!

Went Back again, and wow it’s better than the last time. Outstanding. The Korean dishes are great as a change up appetizer.

Hit the spot. Sat at the sushi bar and ordered miso which was excellent. Ordered the«rock and roll» and«spicy tuna» rolls which were great. Ended with mochi. Would recommend and revisit. Well done. M–

We started with the cucumber roll, it was wrapped in cucumber, no rice and had sashimi inside, very refreshing and delicious. For my entrée I had the Kalbi, marinated beef short ribs, cooked perfect, tender and very tasty. My husband had the Korean raw fish salad(I forgot the official name), plenty of fish, very fresh and the spicy sauce was the best he’s ever had. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place. Their bibimbap is amazing, their service is kind and meek and also their music is so… perfect. I used to work in the area and would come here ATLEAST once a week for their lunch specials. Clean and respectable place. I’m not really a fan of their sushi but I didn’t come here in preference for sushi. Will definitely make the drive back

consistently good, and it’s almost ALWAYS not busy b/c it’s off the side of south street. order anything it’ll be good. i ordered the chicken katsu, MAN was that a nice panko deep fry, and i usually HATE deep fry, but this was good. my wife got the bimbimbap and it was good. you’ll like the food here, as far as sushi… haven’t tried yet, morristown LITERALLY has at least 7 sushi restaurants in a 4 block radius.

I live up the street in Motown and this is definitely my favorite sushi place in town. Don’t get deterred if it empty, they make very good food and are very helpful and nice people!

Tried, failed. Food wise certainly far from the way in the area. Maybe they had an off day when I was here in December 2013 but both my friend and I liked the waiters but the sushi was a bit dry and there is so much better around!

We ordered a Sushi boat($ 51) and it’s pretty big — could feed around 3 of us. Had around 5 fish, including Salmon, Tuna, Yellow tail in both Nigiri Sushi and Sashimi. The fish was very fresh, kudos to the chef As it was a Sunday, service was a bit on the slow side, as there was only one server and sushi chef. Nevertheless, service was very courteous, Also ordered the Miso soup, which as other reviews pointed out, was delicious and dirt cheap — worth it for a cold night Definitely worth trying for sushi fans around the area. I would go back again!

It was ok. Nothing great. I had an interesting Korean dish in a pot that I would have to say was good. My spicy tuna sushi and the miso soup were average. Average at best.

Good location in my opinion. Since it’s located just off of South Street, you sometimes have a better chance of snagging a parking spot. Service is friendly and attentive enough. The décor is nothing to write home about, but it’s not terrible either. The bathroom could use some help, both with updating, cleanliness and keeping paper towels handy. I worry about the other details that are being overlooked when something as simple as keeping the paper towel dispenser well stocked and the soap not watered down. The sushi is good. I’ve been here a few times and I’m sure I’ll be back.

The lunch I had here will actually get these select words — best sushi I have had! It all started with the miso soup — which i normally hate — but wow a nice flavor — it wasnt just a boring broth but an actual flavor Next was the edamame — not sure how but this edamame was better than any I had before, perfect amount of salt. then the sushi — presentation was great on a really cool wooden platter. The sushi was so delicious — tasted so fresh and well made — the rice didnt fall part while i soaked it in my soy sauce/wasabi mixture paste thing. It might have been because we were the first to come in for lunch as it opened — i really dont care — just amazing. Service was mehhh but the food trumped any blips in the service. *enjoy*

I don’t know who they are trying to fool here, but it is not a Japanese restaurant for sure. Since their Korean and they have Korean food a couple of us ordered it. I was quite upset that the traditional small plates of kimchi, spicy pickled cucumbers, bean curd, seaweed, and bean sprouts were not brought to the table. My pet peeve is when I order bibimbop and it does not make that sound. It was not a stone pot, which they said it was on the menu and obviously not hot enough therefore FAIL! By the way, one way to find out if the sushi chefs are Japanese or not is by lifting the slice of fish and seeing if there is wasabi on the rice. If none, the sushi chefs are not Japanese.

Came here for lunch and ordered the Dolsot bimbimbop. For less than 11 dollars the meal came with soup, salad and a generous portion of the bimbimbop. I will definitely be coming back to try more lunch specials.

What a great find. Seems like it’s family run, don’t know for sure. Nice touch that the inner door opens by sliding sideways. Inside décor is very soothing and fresh. Light wood on white. Totally Asian feel. Our waitress was very friendly, helped with suggestions, handled the dining room by herself including the register and it was right up there with the best service I’ve experienced. The food was very fresh, well prepared and tasty. They have a nice selection of the Korean«best hits» as well. I’ll go on a limb and say they serve authentic wassabi not the typical paste you get in most places. Also the shaved ginger was good, not the dyed pink chemical cocktail you often find. My GF had her first try at Korean and loved it. I got a few rolls and seaweed salad. I have to say the rolls were really well made. They didn’t open up when dipped into the wassabi /soy dish and most astounding… not one grain of rice fell out. Finally sticky rice that was well made. Seriously, I hate when my roll falls apart and rice starts to come out of the bottom when you dip… I was even able to double dip with these rolls. Double Dip!!! And finally, it’s a BYOB. Definitely worth adding to your list of places to go for Japanese or Korean food. And. the prices are very reasonable. Not the inflated prices of some of the other sushi places in town.

I think I’ve started this review many times, yet have not actually gotten around to finishing it. I have, however, eaten here for many lunches and dinners and enjoyed each one. I cannot say enough good words about the food at this restaurant. You get very good quality for a very reasonable price, which is a refreshing concept in Morristown. The Korean dishes are delicious and I highly reccommend them. Personally I love the dol sot bi bim bap(rice, egg, meat & veggies served in a hot stone pot) and the ramyun(spicy ramen soup served with an egg on top). My husband frequently orders the J-Yook Bokum(spicy pork served sizzling hot) and loves it. Ask for kimchi if they don’t automatically bring it to you. They make their own and it is good. As for the Japanese fare, the teriyaki is not terribly exciting, but the sushi is fresh and the rolls they often feature as specials are really tasty. Service is incredibally slow, especially at dinner time, so bring a bottle of wine and enjoy a lesiurely meal that is worth the wait.
