I stopped in here for lunch with a friend on a chilly day, we split a half chicken, rice, beans and fried plantains. We both left completely satisfied and I will be returning. The chicken was so flavorful and moist, this is not your typical store bought rotisserie chicken. The beans had a great flavor and made every other pinto bean I’ve had before seem ordinary. Staff was friendly and the food was very good, I will be coming back for lunch or a good take out dinner.

Whoa, just fed 4 people a yummy hot fresh roasted chicken dinner, a whole bird &2 sides, with table service & real forks and knives just $ 26 cash including tax and a big tip! Even took home some leftovers. Meat was perfectly moist, skin was cooked yet not crisp, love the spice mix on the outside. Two sides come with the $ 13.50 whole-chicken combo. Plantains were perfectly tender, French fries were smoking hot from the fryer. Vegetarian rating? No. There’s exactly one entrée here, it’s a roast chicken. Some(possibly?) veg sides are salad, rice, beans; but probably not the fries because you know they use the same fryer for everything LOL. Impossibly quick service, friendly people, English spoken here too, I highly recommend Pucalor’s chicken joint. Definitely try their chicharron with hot sauce, just $ 3.

Great Rotisserie chicken, great chicken consommé if you are sick or if you are craving good broth. Menu is limited, yet you have options of choosing your sides. They have a cheap Lunch special that includes soup and a full lunch platter. Street parking. They DO not accept credit cards.

I love the chicharron and the rotisserie chicken is very flavorful. Great prices and not being too far from the office makes this place a perfect lunch spot.

This place has never failed to deliver the best food ever. Defitinely my favorite place to have chicken and chicharron. They have the best Bandeja paisa. Please give them a try — you wont be disappointed.

It’s no surprise to me that this place is so highly rated. Some of the best food in the area at a great price. Definitely a hidden treasure. Love their chicken, rice, and beans. We often get their food at my church youth group for dinner. My high school youth all say this is one of the best dinners of the year!

Tip: Never, ever, phone in an order at this place unless you have a ginormous order… we had to repeat our order four times on the phone to four different people! It was mystifying… we actually gave our complete order to each person but for some reason was unceremoniously put on hold and ultimately transferred to someone else who acted as if we had just called them. It was frustrating. Having said that the food’s good and at a fair price. I prefer the Denville location because of their superior service but whatever, I come here for the food and not a white-glove dining experience. Reliably tasty chicken that’s never dry with awesome tostones. Chicken soup is fabulous as well.

Love their chicken. The best so far in nj. Been going here for years for dine in or take out. I like that its so affordable that for less than $ 15, my family of 3 can have a good meal already. The only downside is that they only accept cash but their chicken is just sooo tasty. Dont forget to ask for the hot sauce that comes with it.

Plenty of good food for $ 7.00. It’s the«typical» combo. People are all very nice.

I get the hype. Pollos Pucalor doesn’t do anything too offbeat or fancy, but they do all the standards well. Rotisserie chicken was moist, affordable, and well-seasoned. Chicharron was well done without being over-hard, perfect with a spritz of lime and a dash of salt. Plantains and rice were just fine. Next time I go I will have to try the potatoes. Price-wise, it’s hard to do do better for $ 13 between two people. The service is polite and perfunctory; they’re not here to be your best friends, they’re here to get your food to your table quickly and efficiently. Pollos Pucalor earns a well deserved 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Cash-only.

This is the greatest chicken ever made. I’m not exaggerating at all. You can get an entire chicken and two massive sides for $ 13. If that wasn’t enough, the fried plantains are unreal. Make sure you bring cash.

It’s like Colombian Boston Market. My chicken was tender, moist, and flavorful(not much different from what you would get at other rotisserie focused restaurants). I went for the combo with an order of chicharron on the side. For my two sides I went with tostones and beans. Tostones were crisp but definitely less than perfect after sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Beans were tender with a deep flavor and balanced spices(not spicy, just spiced) — like a cross between the pinto and black beans at Chipotle. The order of chicharron was two gigantic rashers perfectly crisped with good meat on them — totally worth it! Service is friendly and fast. There is plenty of seating available but my takeout order was ready in minutes.

Hands down the best Columbian style chicken I’ve every had! And all the sides are great too. I also love the chicharron — next party I have I will definitely get some grub from here!

Yes! Cheap, filling, and delicious food! This place gives you the best bang for your buck. $ 13.50 for a whole chicken plus two sidea! Its placed next to nowhere, but its only a 2minute drive from me. So I make a pollos night every week! I always get a full chicken, some rice, and their fried pork which comes crispy, oily, and fattening(perfecto)!

The BEST fire grilled chicken in the area. I’ve passed by this place many a times. But never knew such a place existed until I found this place through Unilocal reviews. This is a small shop and most people do take out. They accept only cash and no credit cards. It looks like a normal rotisserie chicken, but very flavorful. The portions are great for the price. Infact the portions are more than what we pay for. Worth every penny. Would definitely visit again.

Love this place, don’t like their beans, I’m not a fan of Colombian Beans… But their chicken and Maduros are delicious!

AWESOME! This is my go to whenever I need a quick and cheap meal during the week. It’s classic Colombian comfort food and it’s very affordable. A meal for two for us is usually a half chicken with an order of rice and maduras(sweet plantains) for less than $ 10. I’ve had parties at my house and fed 6 – 12 people for usually $ 30 – 50. Some tips: It’s cash only(the nearest ATM is at the Shop Rite) You can order ahead and pick up on the way home English is a second language here, so be patient if you have questions beyond what is listed on the menu It’s more for takeout because it lacks in ambiance(more like a diner than anything) They do delicious and affordable catering for parties– they usually put everything in large aluminum containers GETEXTRAGREENSAUCE. It’s amazing. You’re welcome.

Darn good Colombian comfort food, for very little money. We had a whole rotisserie chicken, tostones, rice, beans, and chicharron, plus a couple of sodas, all under 30 $. Friendly waitress too! Yummy!

Truly awesome rotisserie chicken with a complex and deep blend of spices. Even for picky eaters, the very short menu makes it easy. If you want great chicken come here, if you don’t then don’t come — but that would be a mistake. Good pricing, open til 7:30 on the weekdays and 8:30 on the weekends — go check out this hidden Morristown gem!!!
