I used to go to this salon on a fairly regular basis for eyebrow threading and was always pleased with the eyebrow threading results. What I was not pleased with was the personality of the owner. She often made disparaging remarks about some groups of people, i.e. how she was often looked down upon or sized-​up when they came for services and other issues regarding lack of tipping or complaining about pricing. She commented that she lowered her initial price of eyebrow threading from $ 12 to $ 7 because too people (of a particular presuasion) were complaining about her prices. Although I found the conversation along these lines to be repugnant, I continued going back because the price was great for the service, and hey, nobody’s perfect.
She has a tiny sign propped up against a wall stating that no food or drink is allowed, yet has served drink to customers herself. Why the contradiction in behavior? Should a person be taller that 4′ and walk with their head up, there is a good chance they will miss seeing the shanty, handwritten sign. Should one apologize for missing the sign, she will hold a grudge and refuge to speak to them again regardless of the apology they offer. What an immature and unforgiving response. Yet, in retrospect, not surprising for someone who spent the majority of my sessions complaining about others and unhappiness with various aspects of her life.
I now understand that people weren’t looking down on her, as she mistakenly assumed, because they were educated, moneyed and felt that she was beneath them socio-​economically. They were likely looking down on her because of her negative attitude and disportionately placed delusions of grandeur and superiority.
I’d rather pay more for an overwhelmingly positive spa experience sans ignorant commentary and passive-​aggressive behavior.
However, should one desire a good eyebrow threading service for a cheap price, she can’t be beat.
Eyebrow threading: $ 7, undesirable comments and unnecessary attitude: Free.

Excellent place. I was on a business trip and needed my brows done (it’s been 8 weeks) they took me on short notice. The job was amazing; I have had threading before and this place was probably the best. She was very meticulous and a perfectionist.

I will never rip my skin layers off again with waxing and neither should you! Nurmela (sp?) is wonderful. I discovered her store when searching for an eyebrow threader near me. She has a nice shop convenient to my home and great hours. She is great at what she does and I love chatting with her. My eyebrows have never looked better and I highly recommend trying threading if you never have. It is so much healthier for your skin and definitely more precise.
She also offers other services but I really only go there to maintain my brows. I think you’ll be happy with any of the others, because she is so pleasing and professional.
The salon is designed beautifully with a modern feel, AND the detail is so great, there are purse hooks on the wall! LOVE that touch; purses don’t belong on the floor.
