I liked Triangle Eye Care, but I think MyEyeDoctor is just as good. Staff was friendly, the OD was very thorough and explained things very well. I did not purchase eyeglasses or contact lenses there, since I already had what I needed.

Going to the eye doctor is never fun, but the staff at MyEyeDr on Davis drive certainly tried their best to make it a great experience. The highlights for me were two instances. The first being the doctor recommended that she dilate my eyes(seeing I haven’t done that in years). I agreed and she did warn that I wouldn’t be able to see anything up close for a while. I still agreed to the exam and within a couple minutes I could no longer see anything on my cell phone screen. I held it out as far as I could and saw fuzzy black blobs — not even resembling letters. The doctor saw me struggling and was nice enough to read my text to read my text to me. After the eye exam was over I was taken to the area to select my glasses. So many glasses… how do I begin to choose?! Lucky for me I worked with one of their specialists who went around the room with me, helped me decide which to try on and was refreshingly honest when trying to decide if something looked right on me or not. She didn’t rush me or make me feel like I was taking up a ton of time. She helped me select a new pair of glasses(which I picked up yesterday:)) and the entire process from start to finish was fast, easy, and painless.

When this was Triangle Eye Care, it was the best. Not anymore. The eyeglass selection is cheap junk. The last optometrist had been there two days and was inexperienced. I got the hassle of a lifetime when I tried to get an eye exam so I could change the lenses on an existing pair. This national outfit ruined the place.

Did not seem children friendly. We took our 5 year old for an eye check up because our pediatrician recommended. The attending assistant who does the preliminary work was very inconsiderate to the fact that she was with a small child. She would repeatedly give instructions to look/stare into light a certain way or not to blink; and she got visibly impatient when not followed at the first or second attempt. Also the tone was as if a police officer demanding something from a criminal; this is the first time my child had visited an optometrist and was getting scared with every repeat of those curt instructions. A normally active and jovial kid ended up being nervous and make more mistakes at following her instructions. The attendant seemed to be in late thirties and am sure must have dealt with children before. I would never set foot in this location again, even for adult members in my family. The Doctor who made a cameo appearance later was very nice.

Came in for a 2nd time to get new lenses for frames I’d already purchased elsewhere. The saleswoman says nothing to me after taking my prescription and is typing away in my account. After complete silence I finally tell her I do not want the type of lenses I had before if that is what she is looking for — I want them cheaper, do not care for the glare coating or whatever special type of lens it was(ie EXPENSIVE). She’s ringing me up for that without asking me what I wanted! She asks me why don’t I want them? I explain they cost too much and never get clean and after spending so much money dealing with a pair of glasses for a year that didn’t work for me, I want cheap lenses. She then told me they didn’t get clean because I didn’t use their cleaning solution. I told her I did. She told me I used too much and should use water. I told her I did that too. She told me that was wrong too because now I used too many different things. I told her again, I do not want those lenses. She told me I need that to see better. I told her I didn’t want it as it didn’t help me see well and actually made it worse. She told me I needed to see the doctor again to get a new prescription. I told her I have a new prescription that I got yesterday(from an eye surgeon, no less) that is in your hand, do you have the lens in stock? She picks up my glasses that I brought in, checks them out and says no she’s never seen these glasses. I say not the glasses I brought in, the prescription lens. She goes to the back, comes back to the desk and starts typing silently. I ask her DOYOUHAVETHEFREAKINLENSINSTOCK??? She says yes, $ 150. I say that’s too much, I don’t want them. She says Oh, I can give them to you for $ 110. Before I punch her, I gain control and leave. I find an eyeglass place in Park West Village and get lenses for $ 79 in 5 minutes(and they have fab frames!). I hope this accurately expresses the frustration I experienced and why you should pass on glasses here.

Great staff! I changed doctors to start going there. It’s a cute, small office but nice. They just changed names so the staff was still learning the system so it did take a long time.

Dr. Badwan is a fantastic doctor. He has the right combination of professionalism and a joking manner to keep you at ease. He answers all of your questions in a way that you understand. This is the first eye doctor since being a child that I visit yearly for my eye care. In addition to Dr. Badwan the office/front desk people staff at the Morrisville Triangle Eye are wonderful. They are all very helpful. I honestly feel like I am visiting friends when I walk in the door.
