Morro Bay Park

The main reason I came here on a sunny Sunday afternoon was the Memorial Day Art in the Park. It was a short walk here from our hotel and apparently this event is held Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.
It was hard to get a good sense of the park’s layout with all the tents set up but overall it seemed to be great little community park.
As for the art show, it had some interesting photography and jewelery. If you’re visiting Morro Bay during any of these holiday weekend, I’d recommend stopping here for any painting or photo type souvenirs of the area-it’s much better quality than in the touristy items you’ll find it elsewhere. Fun and relaxing way to while away an hour or so!
The Unilocal 100 Challenge!

I have to say that Morro Bay Parks department (or who ever keeps up the parks in Morro Bay) does a really nice job on the greenery. The park is manicured, has a playground, bathrooms, and picnic tables. This triangular shaped park is the location of many events including the art in the park weekend which is spectacular. Drop on in as you never know what new event has been cooked up for the lovely little village by the bay, Morro Bay.
