Pizza is ok, not great. But like the rest of the food. Have tried Italian beef which was good. But our favorite is the wings! They are so crispy and meaty and delicious. I can eat two orders(12wings) in one sitting. I wish they didn’t come with fries, though. As two orders of fries is a waste of food.

Nicky Nolo’s is located on the west side of Waukegan Road about a block south of Golf Rd. They’re in a small strip shopping center with parking in front. It is barely visible from the street. Nicky Nolo’s is a tiny hot dog stand with counter seating for six and no public bathrooms. When you walk in you’ll notice the bright yellow paint and five foot tall counter. The kitchen and prep area covers approximately 90% of its total space. The restaurant appears to be clean with a lot of new equipment. The huge stainless steel hood looks brand new. I ordered an Italian Stallion Sausage combo – it was a special. The Italian sausage was cut lengthwise and served on French bread. The sandwich included cheese, onions and green peppers. I was surprised to find the onions and green peppers were not sauteed. The fries were frozen, crinkle-cut and nothing special. Nicky Nolo’s was opened in October 2010. On a weekday lunch hour, there were seven customers(four in my entourage). With three employees and a lunch service of seven, I don’t have much hope for its survival.
