Farnsworth House

We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed it. As we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly owners and graciously given a free upgrade since not all of the rooms were being occupied. We ended up staying in the 2^nd floor of the main house. The room was full of old world charm, which is exactly what we had in mind when staying in a bed and breakfast in Mount Dora. Our room was very well maintained and very clean. For breakfast, we had coffee — quiche — and toast, everything was delicious. The house and the grounds are all well kept and its just a short walk away from central area of downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

Helpful and friendly, service oriented owners with a beautiful home and grounds. Kim & Soren took care of every need, catered breakfast to our personal desires and the Canary Suite was JUST PERFECT for the two of us to catch up on a little R&R. The house is very clean, has everything you need, including a lovely screened porch right off our suite and we loved the location. Everything is nearby but it is a few blocks away from the downtown which we enjoyed. Saw Cardinals and Blue Jays every day right out our windows! Bed & bath linens are along the finer lines and queen bed is very comfortable. We are a bit snobby in that way but it was superb to find such nice amenities! We really recommend this B & B and while you are here, grab some FAB Cuban at Copacabana and Mexican at Fiesta Grande Mexican Grill. Good value and very good food! (NOTE: the stove in the room does not work but they are clear about that if you read carefully. We stashed a few goodies in the fridge and the microwave and little kitchenette met all our needs! They were even so helpful as the microwave did not make the water hot enough for my husband’s tea but they took care of it in the ‘big’ kitchen downstairs!)
