Good food. prices are OK. friendly atmosphere and staff. Better than chilis in Mt Dora.

Well been avoiding this place because of negative reviews. Here for lunch. Seated right away. Waitress was also the bar tender. Very very friendly. True southern charm. Ordered philly special and onion soup. Both were excellent. Maybe time if day matters. Place is quite large with outdoor covered porch. Menu is extensive. Will come again. 5 for service. 4 for food.

On January 7, 2016 I went in to make arrangement for our group of Redhatter to have a luncheon here. They recieved a menu as they didn’t have to go menus and told them I would get back with them for how many there would be. She said no problem and give her a call. So went in on 13th gave her how many there would be and I ask for lower dining room as I had 4 women who would not be able to climb the steps. The waitress I talk to on that day said they don’t take reservation at evening setting. I said it was for lunch. She said oh that ok but wanted to confirm it with the«owner». She went across patio to office, came back and she told me that he said that would be fine. Gave her a number of 21 – 22. She took my name and number and put it on board at waitress station. And said I will see u Saturday. Called on Fri to added one. She told me ok and thank u for calling to let her know ahead of time. ladies started getting ther at 11:45 and motioned for me to come over I was given this young man to talk too and group o 19 came in and he gave them our area and preceded to tell me they don’t take reservations. Well u don’t lie to a redhead. In the first place why did they have it set up, second he said that he was the one waitress talked to and that she miss understood… I I called him a lair. And it was a lie. Comes down to they must have know someone in the party to give it away. He did not realize their was many of us in that group that ate there many times… our group got no apology which at that time I would not except, second we had to split our group up and the one who could no climb steps sat by themselves and had a different waitress so they ate and we’re done 20 minutes before we got our lunch, it wasn’t the waitress fault. It was the so called managers fault which needs to go back to school he missed the course on pleasing the customer. He could have cRed less about these 22 women… oh by the way. Where was the crab in the crab stuffed mushrooms. Questionable whether I go back or not and I am a full time resident of Florida So right now this place get thumbs down… Only reason I have them 2 stars was they do have great clam chowder and got compliments on the food. The food here is always great. I like that after eating you can enjoy live music next door. I wish it was closer to my house.

I never review restaurants but I really felt the need to vent. The food was good… some of the best fried chicken we’ve ever had but that couldn’t even save this place from a bad review. The service was terrible… worst waitress I have ever had. We don’t think we will be back. Doesn’t matter how good you’re food is when you’re service is that deplorable.

Haven’t been here in a while. Waited forever at the door before being seated(on a Tuesday evening). We got steak quesadilla and French dip. Food was good but took an eternity to arrive. And the server seemed a bit exasperated. We asked for more au jus and then more napkins and we’re greeted with a deep sigh both times. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt, this time, that she’d had a hard day. Restaurant work isn’t easy. But sometimes neither is being a customer.

We live in town and this has become our go-to restaurant. Food is always, always consistently good. Drinks are always good and you can’t beat the draft twofers. Wings are great, burgers are consistent and specialities like liver/onions are just the best.

Would never come back, slow service. Wanted tacos and was told they only serve them in their smoke infested bar. Not in the dining area. Very disappointed, will never come back or recommend.

Great lunch tavern food with nostalgia laden walls like a local bar that is hiding under a friendly diner front a good casual lunch spot. The back has a large outdoor bar overlooking the parking lot just in case you want to watch your car. Menu pretty much fried and broiled fare skip the quiche and spinach salad you will want to go strait to the fried fish, chicken and burgers. Had the fried cod basket also tried the other guests food and was impressed. You won’t see the bottom of your glass… they are watching and quickly refill with a smile be ready to get full laugh and leave a generous tip. The servers here look out for each other and take care of the customer.

I really don’t have anything good nor bad to say about this place is your typical bar on a Friday or Saturday night I’m not a drinker so I didn’t drink any alcohol but I do drink a mixture of juices and my juice came back tasting really weird. as far as entertainment it’s ok nothing nothing to brag about I have actually never went back.

I had the Jeremiah’s steak and my wife had the deep fried shrimp. My steak was excellent! Season just right and cooked to perfection. Something that so many restaurants lack. My salad was good. My wife’s shrimp had a different type of breading it was very good. Waitress was prompt and very nice.

If I could, I wouldn’t give this place one star. I just ate there and had the worst steak I’ve ever eaten. It came out cold and tasteless. I actually had to put ketchup on it for some flavor!!! The waitress was inattentive and stale. She didn’t fill my tea or check on us until we were finished completely. My fiancé had a steak and it was cold too. It also had mushrooms from a can on top of it.

Tried to have a few drinks and dinner. Waited for thirty five minutes no one ever waited on us. We even asked the hostess if we could get someone to wait on us. We noticed two other tables of customers whose drink glasses were empty when we sat down they too never had a server check on them. This was at five pm on the patio we ultimately left had a great meal and service elsewhere

This review is primarily for the Haddock special that they claim is flown in fresh for them. I don’t know if it’s fresh or not but it’s pretty good… most of the time. We keep going back and I always order the Haddock but the last two times have been a bit disappointing. The portions are great and it comes with FF and Cole slaw but the last time the fish was really greasy. Very filling but not consistent quality. For this reason it’ll probably be a while before we go back.

Despite what other reviews say this place isn’t that bad. I actually enjoy it from time to time. No, it’s no gourmet cuisine but it’s always a decent meal with decent prices. The service can be spotty depending on the staff of the season but there are always hose few awesome staples that are there always. Once you’re done with your meal, go out back to the new bar, grab a drink, and people watch… Trust that this will not disappoint. Especially if it’s an evening or weekend.

We went here after Renningers to grab a bite to eat. The wait was 30 minutes, so you expect it to be pretty good. It was not. I had the crab cake sandwich. It was nothing special. The tartar sauce was also totally bland. One of my tablemates ordered a prime rib and the first one came out ice cold. The second one was overcooked. There are lots of better places to eat in Mt. Dora, so I would try one of them first. Don’t waste your time here.

Oh man, what happened to this place?!? We drove to Mount Dora only to find Rocking Rabbit closed(on a Thursday?!?) and remembered Jeremiah’s was a decent restaurant. I guess when I wrote my original review back in 2010 it WAS decent. But look at the trend now! The best part of the experience was the service. We were seated promptly and helped by a friendly server who did her best. First we were brought FLAT beer. Both our beers! Two different kinds… she said it was the same CO2 line for all the beer. It was happy hour(2−4−1) and we were brought fresh beers. They still weren’t quite right… Then the food– my son’s cheese pizza looked absolutely disgusting. It had the most processed looking white cheese(obviously frozen). My «special» was a pineapple teriyaki salmon that came with two sides. I chose a house salad with«homemade» ranch dressing and rice pilaf. The house salad was the plainest salad you could imagine and the dressing wasn’t anything special. When the entrée arrived I almost laughed! It was a tiny piece of fish that looked so sad with PLAINWHITERICE. The fish was obviously frozen as well. It kind of ticked me off because I specifically asked the server what kind of rice was served and was told wrong. And the worst part is my pathetic meal cost $ 18! You have GOT to be kidding! It really wasn’t even worth $ 5. We will never be back to Jeremiah’s. What a shame!

Big menu, large(20+) yet not broad draft selection, large outdoor patio seating and bar and large dining room. The menu is an expanded pub-grub menu, which was fryer heavy. They handled our table of 10 with ease on a slow night even though they had to move us inside when it started raining. Don’t let the 2 stars fool you, I would recommend Jeremiah’s for a night of drinks or dinner.
