The couple of times I’ve been to this place, there haven’t been many people inside, and it makes me sad. Someone needs to get the word out! This place is delicious. The chicken tenders have the perfect amount of light, airy breading and aren’t too greasy, and the fries are great. Also, how can you not love a place with free boiled peanuts? If you’re looking for some of the best chicken tenders around, look no further.

Order 82 various wings to go. Service was pretty fast and the counter folks were nice enough. The actual chicken pieces were big! The sauces are what brings this place down. The only good one was the jerk. Insanely hot and hot had an odd flavor in the base sauce which a few of us found unpleasant. Fries were tasty! And the shakes were really good.

Hubee D’s in Belle Hall Plaza is a chain chicken place similar to a Raising Cane’s. I had never been to one and had no expectation of what to find. You walk in and order at a counter. Chicken, chicken, and more chicken is whats on the menu. Mostly in different shapes such as tenders, nuggets, pattys, wings, & boneless wings(not sure what the difference between boneless wings and tenders is but, they serve both). The do baskets, salads, and sandwiches. Meals are served with fries, cornbread, coleslaw, and your choice of chicken. I opted for a large tender basket. The tenders were medium sized, hot and fried white meat pieces of chicken. I liked that the breading wasn’t too heavy. I loved the shoestring fries that were offered in quite a generous portion. The cornbread tasted processed… one bite and I was done with it. I don’t like coleslaw so I didn’t bother with it. They offer all the sauces self serve in bottles without nickle and diming you for each dip. The only one they hourde behind the counter is the special Hubbee D sauce(not sure if they charge extra for that one). I wouldn’t mind if they got a little crazy with sauces instead of your standard options i.e. buffalo, bbq, honey mustard. Sauces can really make a meal when it comes to chicken fingers. To top it off they have hot, self serve, complimentary boiled peanuts to snack on while you wait. Nice touch.

A day of shopping can wear a girl out. That’s why I stopped by Hubee D’s in Belle Hall looking for a snack. And by snack, I mean some rock-your-face-off chicken tenders. Because I flat out love chicken tenders. Hubee D’s did not disappoint. I opted for the basic basket and it was all yummy. Shoestring fries were coated with a sweet/savory Cajun seasoning. Coleslaw wasn’t too runny, just crisp and fresh. Tenders were tasty with their special recipe. And their cornbread. OMG. It’s that sweet, yellow cornbread that you want to save for dessert. To add to the Hubee D’s magic, they’ve got fantastic sauces. The bourbon sauce was my fave with Wadmalaw Jerk coming in 2nd place. Being a chick, I checked out the calorie count. If you lighten it up and stick with just 3 chicken tenders(250 cals) and coleslaw(115) you can get a nice little low-cal lunch. P. S. If you need a little giddyup in your get-go, then dine in and tap your toes to their peppy country music on the stereo!

It was Tuesday and Tuesday means chicken wings. My takeout order from Hubee D’s was put together quickly, but not too quickly for me to sit at a table with a small dish of free boiled peanuts while I waited. Chicken wings and a grilled basket of chicken tenders(not fried — grilled!) in a hot sauce with a pot of cole slaw. Great meal and still plenty hot when I got it back to the table. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping plaza. Keep an eye out for the idiots who back out without looking. Great spot for kids — plenty of napkins for their messes, refillable drinks and a few video games in the back.

We tried both the dry rubbed wings and chicken nuggets. Both were very tender and had a lot of flavor. They have beer which was great! The free boiled peanuts and sauce bar was awesome! The downfall was the slow service. I’m not talking about waiting for cooked to order food, I’m not that hungry. What I mean is it took a while to order and the lady forgot my beer and our other drinks. I also realized we required a number for our food so I had to go back up and ask. During our visit there were probably more staff eating in the dining room than regular customers.

Great staff, food came quick, and the fries were the best part of the meal. Think they have a pretty good restaurant and I may go back to try other things. However, their«seriously hot» wing sauce is probably the worst tasting buffalo wing sauce I have ever encountered. With that said I still recommend this place just not the«seriously hot» wing flavor. Im also not certain whether the other 2 buffalo flavors have this horrible taste or not.

Excellent chicken joint! Discovered this place while at Belle Hall and can’t get enough of it. I am a fan of boneless wings and the ones here are some of the best. They are not only extremely tender, but they are quite juicy as well. The buffalo sauce also has just the right kick to it. They serve shoestring fries with the chicken and they are really good as well. They have a spice on them that reminds me of Fuddruckers somewhat. The fries are always crisp, never soggy and quite tender as well. Many meals come with a side of corn bread and it is quite a treat as well. Lastly the sweet tea here is some of the best in the low country area. I prefer sweet tea that is actually sweet and this place is definitely sweet! The restaurant is quite nice in its self as well. Always clean!

Found this place with the help of fellow Charlestonian Unilocaler Steven P, who met me here with his awesome girlfriend for dinner!!! They are living proof that Unilocal can bring you together with fun and friendly people you may have never met otherwise. Our original plans were to meet @ Red’s Icehouse on Shem’s Creek, but they were closed(it was the day after Christmas). We intended to go to the Savannah Hwy location for lunch earlier that day, but spent more time Downtown in the City Market than we originally planned. Steve met our family later that evening over on Isle of Palms and we followed him to the Mt. Pleasant location. Tucked in a very nice shopping area not too far from our hotel, we were introduced to fried peanuts for the first time. The cashier has samples next to the registers and asked us to give ‘em a try. He suggested I eat the entire peanut, SHELL&ALL!!! After giving him my best«Wha choo talking about Willis» face, I reluctantly gave it a try. They were coated with a seasoned salt which made them taste better than I expected, but I must say I’m not a fan of this method of cooking peanuts. Kudos however for introducing me to something new! They also offer free boiled peanuts that are delicious!!! THEFOOD Our family order a variety of different things from the menu, which were all some variation of fried chicken. We all LOVETHETENDERS!!! Very tasty and perfectly cooked, not like some placed that overcook their tenders and leave you with a crunchy glob of dried up meat. My youngest ordered the nuggets, which were really just smaller cuts of tenders. Our teenage girls had the hot wings and loved them. French fries were good, but very greasy. Cole slaw was average, not fantastic and not bland. We enjoyed corn bread, but I would have preferred them served warm. The dipping sauce was kinda like a spicy thousand island dressing. The strawberry milkshakes are good, but don’t come close to Chick-fil-a’s hand spun shakes. OVERALL, Hubee D’s reminds me of a slightly spicier version of Zaxby’s Chicken. I would recommend them if chicken tenders or wings are what you crave. Thanks again Steven P and Tracy for putting up with us :-) We had a great time getting to know you!!!

While I was saddened by the loss of Just Fresh, which previously occupied this location, Hubee D’s is an excellent addition to Belle Hall and Mount Pleasant, in general. Learning that it is actually owned by the same guy who owned Just Fresh helps explain the fresh and flavorful ingredients at Hubee D’s. I’ve been to Hubee D’s twice in the past week, sampling their chicken wings, tenders, and sandwich — along with the fries, coleslaw, cornbread, and sweet tea. Everything is true to their slogan: Deelicious! The chicken is very juicy and tender. The complimentary boiled peanuts are a nice treat. All of the staff I’ve encountered have been super friendly and helpful. Fun oldies music plays through the sound system. I do look forward to when the jukebox is finally ready to go. Love the game room with old-school video games(Ms. Pacman, Gyrus, Burgertime? Awesome!) and midway-style basketball. And there’s cornhole outside, too. I appreciate being able to catch the game on the tv screen in the corner. I realize they’re not trying to be a sports bar, but maybe one more screen would be great. The décor is attractive, comfortable, and feels authentic.(Unlike a certain other chicken tender place in town to remain unnamed.) This will certainly become a regular spot for us. And once their beer & wine license kicks in, I just may have to bump them up to 5 stars. see reviews for their original West Ashley location
