An ice-​cold IPA, mushroom/​swiss/​avacado chicken burger, and sweet potato fries… For $ 11? What else is there to say? Sold.

Friday nights are out of this world — love band, great atmosphere and not to mention amazing food & service.

Ordered Reuben sandwich. Over half of pastrami was fat. Lots of sauerkraut making sandwich (on rye) totally soggy and falling apart. Have also had breakfast here that was one of worst I’ve had. Had decided not to return for breakfast and now I can add lunch.

When my friends and I realized that this was just the tavern of the local Best Western, we were a little skeptical. I am happy to say that we were pleasantly surprised by Cooper’s though. The bar was filled with locals and was a pretty happening spot. The live rock n roll band gave the place some real authenticity and drew in a lively crowd. Good draught selection and a pretty wide variety of food, though a little ambitious at times (no reason to serve calamari at high altitude). We only stayed for beers and apps but I’ve been thinking about the sweet potato fries since we left.

I have to give Coopers a solid 5 stars. The prices are great, especially happy hour, which is every day. The drink pours are generous. The service is usually very good, except maybe Friday and Saturday evenings when they are pretty busy. The bar menu is limited, but after 5 you can order from the Treehouse restaurant menu. And you can’t beat the $ 11 beer, burger, and fries meal, which you can get at any time. It’s a great burger with three extra toppings, really great fries, and a point of microbrewed beer. Pretty incredible. Especially when you look at what the rest of Mt. Shasta had to offer. It’s a dark comfy space. They have sports and such on tv, but as they have closed captions turned on instead of sound, it’s not annoying if you’re not a sports aficionado.

Do not go here! They served us raw cold chicken wings. Then when we asked them politely they took them back and only served us 9 out of 12 wings. They also used the same ranch that the waitress served and spilled as she took them back for the second round. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Average food, slow service. Calamari was tough and tasteless. Bar tacos were nothing special.

11 dollar lunch burger with choice of 3 special toppings (hubby had mushrooms Swiss cheese and avocado of which he raved because he got a half avocado on it) along with customary toppings and a draft craft beer. I had the beer my husband raved about the hamburger. I had the soup and ½ sandwich tuna fish was great also soup of day was jalapeño artichoke heart and spinach in a light cream sauce. Full of artichokes. My husband had iced tea. The total bill was 20.00 plus tax. Going back here again

just by chance, we had dinner at coopers, next to our hotel — captured audience? yeah, I get it, but their hot wings were the best on our road trip!!!

I wish there were half stars so I could rate 4.5. One drink and an appetizer isn’t quite enough to gain 5 stars IMO.
Probably among the best onion rings we’ve ever had. First round of drinks were very good, 2^nd were «only» just good. Chili cheese dog, fries, teriyaki chicken skewers to go will have to wait for a review.
The rest of the menu looked *really* good.
The bartender was friendly and very attentive.
This place is most definitely worth a visit if passing through Shasta City.

While on a trip to Mt. Shasta to visit family, we gathered at Cooper’s a couple of times. The food was really good, and the servers were very attentive! There was live music, and the place was always pretty full.

Here for lunch. Wow, I am impressed. Friendly service, wide selection and reasonable prices.
The crab cakes are outstanding. The sweet potato fries were the best. Huge sweet tempura shrimp. Great burger with HUGE onion rings. Bloody Mary’s had the perfect
Balance of spiciness! Can’t wait to come back and sit on their outdoor patio.

It was overpriced for what you receive. My next stay I’ll eat at KFC next door. But thank you to the nice staff.

The best place to eat in mt. Shasta and the best burger in Northern California. Very clean great service good value you would not find a better place to eat within 100 miles be leave me I live here

I’m a regular here and love coming in and hanging out (and eating, of course). A turkey burger (or regular burger) plus a beer (or soft drink) and fries for $ 10? Best deal in town. Daily lunch specials at $ 7.99 are awesome too, depending on what’s being served (and your taste preferences). Kudos to Steven in the kitchen, he’s awesome. And Malinda, Thomas, Keri, Margot, Ali, and Brenda who rotate behind the bar as well as serving are awesome friendly people. If you’re cruising down I5 looking for a pit stop or are a local keep this place in mind. For real tho

We had the pleasure of eating here four nights in a row, during a recent business trip and truly enjoyed the food, drinks and services received each night. This is a hidden gem in this small resort town offering an incredible menu of food and drinks. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and freshly prepared.

The burger was huge and the Greek salid was very nice. The staff was very polite and nice. The restroom were very clean.

We enjoy this place immensely but our last visit was a huge disappointment. It seemed we had to ask not only our server but also other servers as well for minimal attention. Our orders were simple but yet obviously complicated for our server Crystal.
We would’ve enjoyed a second glass of wine or dessert if she would’ve asked but nope.
Other than Melinda, the other servers ran around as if they were on their first say employed.
We noticed a couple other tables being ignored and one couple finally gave up and walked out.
As we were leaving, we overheard a gentleman speaking with the front desk attendant explaining the same concern. Local folks who don’t plan to return anytime soon.
Sad to see this happen to an establishment that we support.
Melinda, Margot and a couple other staff members do a fine job but nudge the others for some additional effort.

Eat here quite often and enjoy our experience overall. Good food, great selection fair prices. They could use one more server in the bar dining area. Servers get over powered with customers at times which backs things up.
Will continue to support this establishment as it is one of the better dining spots Mt Shasta. Malin day does an outstanding job in the bar area.

Being one of the most expensive places to eat within 50 miles of this town, I expected more from Cooper’s, but my chicken was quite bland and outdated (it reminded me of the 80’s). I also got the peach wine cooler, which I expected to be refreshing and bright, but was equally blasé… it tasted of cheap white wine without any fresh peach juice but, perhaps, peach schnapps? Service was so-​so but not very enthusiastic, friendly, or standout in any way. There aren’t many choices in town, that much is true, but one should get a little more for the prices they have set here.
