Never disappoints! Everything is delicious, especially the Crab Cake!

The place to eat in Mukilteo. Attentive service, excellent cuisine and delicious menu. The proscuito wrapped halibut and hand crafted cocktaild are divine. We will be back!

My partner and I drive past here all the time and finally got the opportunity to try it. Wow! Very attentive and welcoming service and great food. He got the 12 oz steak and I the wild prawns. Tasted very good. A lot of their menu items are homemade. Key lime pie, oh my! Yum! We sat outside and service was still very well. We will be back here again no doubt!

I enjoyed every moment. From the welcome to exit. Service is great. Food is great. Pricy but great. Portion size on appetizers are just right. Get the beef kabobs. Awesome. I ordered two of them. One to start. One as my dessert. Awesome. The lamb Chops were great. One lamb chop short of a more filling plate. But I’m a big guy. Wifey had the pork but wasn’t as great. The corn clam chowder was good. Spicier than she thought. Nice surprise. Small and quaint place. Small bar. Good for happy hour. Great location when the weather get super nice… it will be great for outside seating. I’d come back. Even if we felt«too young» for the atmosphere. Haha it was great.

John’s Grill is one of those little neighborhood places with a lot of class. Love the amazing crab cakes, but the thing I often crave and return for is the steak salad. YUM! Great cocktails too. If you’re in Mukilteo this is a fabulous place to eat.

First time at John’s Grill. Great dining experience. Crab cakes were a hit. Steak was grilled to perfection. Will definitely dine there again.

Perhaps because i’m not a local, I wasnt treated very well. The food was blah. We were really hoping to enjoy some wonderful cuisine based on the reviews, but this was just blah.

I was looking for a place that we could sit down with some friends and and catch up while enjoying a good meal. John’s Grill hit the mark. We all had very good meals. Lamb, Chicken and Seafood linguine. The service was very good and the owner even came out to help with a wine selection. We did not feel rushed and we were able to spend time with our friends in a very relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely go back.

John’s has been around for so, so many years, and we have been going there for as many years. They are still serving the same-same recipes. Maybe they’ve become complacent and aren’t up to the challenge of introducing new menu items. I know«if it’s not broke, don’t fix it». Okay, but perhaps updating some of their recipes? I know there aren’t many places to dine in Mukilteo, and maybe that’s why they settle for being mediocre. Yet, I am hopeful.

Seasonal pork chop was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The mango chutney was quite the compliment. Veggies and garlic mash = awesome. The stroganoff rocked it. Service was spot on!

Great food, excellent service! Small, locally owned restaurant in the heart of Old Town in Mukilteo, near the ferry. I went for Happy Hour and make sure to have their crab cakes-best I’ve ever had! I had their steak and it was delicious. It’s a great place to go for a date night or other special occasion.

Staff great! My husband said the lamb chops were great. My pork tenderloin were not tenderloin at all! They were thin cut pork chops! Yes, $ 22.00 for thin cut pork chops! A rip off! Probably won’t visit again!

First time visitor and the wife and I both ordered the filet mignon and it tasted great and the server was very tentative. The complaints we had were the portion size of potatoes and the vegetables were very lacking, but I went there for the beef, not the side dishes and left satisfied.

Early Thursday night dinner. Free order of Polenta Sticks with Check-In was nice. Crab cake huge with good filling however a lot of crust/breading to get through. All in all a very nice meal and will be back

John’s Grill is a local favorite with nice ambiance and a low-key crowd. We had the Lamb Chops and Crab Cake, both entrées. While the lamb was a bit tough, it had good flavor and made a nice dinner. The Crab Cake came with gushing recommendation from our server, but not much in the way of either crab or flavor. Not being fans of chocolate or the industrial graham-cracker’d key lime pie, we had a desert elsewhere.

Great Food as usual. We come here quite often, my husband & I. We were here in April, brought our teenage son. Now we’re back. We are never dissapointed. This time, I tried Lamb Chops, it was Awesome. My husband had the Filet Mignon, that was so good too. I had the Wine Flight. The M100 Red Blend was perfect with my dinner.

Fantastic food. Great place. If you want dessert, the caramel brownie sundae will blow your socks off. Vegetables are garden fresh, portions are great, and the presentation was excellent. It’s snooty, but in a casual way, and the place has serious character. I wore jeans and felt right at home. Reservations recommended, it’s a small restaurant. Great spot for a special occasion dinner. Two drinks apiece, appetizer(dude, get the crab cake), main course, and two desserts was $ 130. We’ll definitely be back.

This family-owned restaurant is just a couple of miles from my home and although I’m not a regular, I’ve dined here at least 20 times since 2006 as it’s good place for a nicer business dinner with a few guests. The distance to where I work and live and convenient parking are big factors. They bill themselves as a steak and seafood restaurant but there are far fewer seafood choices and most of them are shrimp, scallop, or squid. There aren’t standard menu items for local seafood such as oysters, mussels, salmon, halibut, rockfish, or cod.(See for yourself here ). It’s too bad because we have so much good seafood here year round. There are occasional seafood specials but in my experience they are almost always shellfish.(If you want fish, go down the hill a couple blocks to Ivar’s.) The food at John’s Grill is good quality and the chef/owner does a pretty good, consistent job. The meals are straightforward and generally well-prepared. It can be hard to find something light on the menu and butter is heavily used. It’s usually delicious but more standard fish items and lighter sides would be nice additions to the menu. The service can be excellent but the other owner Lisa who also serves seems to have frequent bad days and it shows in her service. They have had a lot of turnover through the years and I have had great service there but if Lisa is waiting tables sometimes it can really affect your experience negatively. This is my rationale for 3 stars. Overall, this is a good restaurant. Good quality, fairly expensive but when when everything is working well, you may have a 4-star experience(for Mukilteo).
