I realize that with only two other reviews, mine is going to bump up the mark’s score a bit… but I freaking LOVE it. It is the dive bar of gay dive bars, and it is soooo not aesthetically pleasing in any way shape or form. However, it is a much needed escape from the corn-fed frat boys in the village and the tragic-hipster-wannabe’s that frequent doc’s. The crowd is mixed and usually inviting… unless it’s an off night and it is empty and/or all male… on those nights I usually went elsewhere. I highly suggest going to a drag show. A drag show at the Mark is about as much fun as you can have in Muncie. The Mark is one of the very few things I miss about living in Muncie.

what can you really say about the mark. it’s there, it’s a dive. it’s gay. it’s usually dead. every once in a while, if you go with a group of friends, you can have the best time ever. karaōke nights are fun, but the best time to hit up the mark is when they have a drag show. get there early or be prepared to stand the entire night because it will get packed. the dance floor is small, but that makes it more fun. and make friends with the people who pour your drinks, it will make all the difference. i do have to say, i miss the old days when the mark had the circus theme going on.

Yeah, it’s the gay bar, but what are you gonna do? They let anyone in, and that means you. Not being of that persuasion, I’ve never felt perved on, and fuck it, it’s a change of scenery. Karaōke on Sunday and one of the few liquor bars downtown. It’s a bit on the shoddy side(I’ve heard it called a troll bar) but a dive’s a dive. Not especially cheap, but the drinks are strong. Guns n Roses pinball too!
