The Artist Within is the kind of place you can have a girls night out, paint something totally fantastic then have dinner at one of the great restaurants downtown. Then take your kids or nieces for a fun day of painting, giggles and bonding while teaching them to appreciate the arts. It’s also great for group parties, meetings or to take out of town visitors to show them the best of downtown Muncie and the arts community.

You have a choice of ceramics to paint. They fire them in the kiln and you pick it up a week later.
They have a variety of items to choose from. From plates to mugs, piggy banks to magnets, and a bunch of colors to choose from. Their paint is all food safe, so if you do paint a plate or cup, you can use it!
Things are price from $ 5 to about $ 20 and up. They have a small art gallery and you can buy art pieces from local artists.
They also have a room for parties! The staff is helpful and it’s a relaxed and fun atmosphere. My children had a lot of fun.
