OK, this place is super tricky to find, which isn’t good if you suffer from vertigo like I do. You literally have to drive in a circle once you enter the lot to get to the reserved parking spaces. The irony is not lost on me. Once you get to the clinic(which is hidden way in the back, almost as difficult to find as the building itself), the staff and physical therapists are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The receptionist said the neurologist had already sent over my records and insurance info, so I was ready to get started with PT and testing right away. What a relief. The clinic itself is brand new and the only one in the state of Indiana. They have a ginormous«gym» for all the crazy obstacle courses and agility/balance tests, providing plenty of space for each patient to roll around in every wonky position the PTs put you in. It’s not very private, which can be a little embarrassing and a LOT entertaining, depending on your point of view. The equipment and gadgets seem like something out of a sci-fi movie; I’m not a doctor(and I don’t even play one on TV), but this seems like an asset to me. They strapped me into these giant space-age infrared goggles which took a video of my eye movement during the tests. Freaky! Maybe I’ll get to see the footage someday. Anyway, it sucks to have to have vertigo, but the Center for Dizziness & Balance makes it all better.
