The prices here are definitely better especially on their off brand. The store is small. Bring your own shopping bags or you will have to pay for theirs. Shopping cart requires a 25 cent deposit which you will get back. Because the store is so small it doesn’t take much for it to get busy or for the checkout lines to get backed up. Best time to go is in the morning during the week.

Tonight I visited Aldi for the first time. I like their products and their prices, however… they need to work on their service. When I got in line, there were two people in front of me, and they had been waiting at the register for what seemed like 5 minutes for someone to come and check them out. I was watching this woman dust a shelf along the front of the store and I kept thinking, «how come she is not calling the cashier?». By now there were 5 people in line, and no one manning the cash register. Finally, the dusting woman came and started checking us out (!!). When it was our turn to check out, she placed all our goods in a basket (no bags, no frills). When my daughter tried to roll the basket out, the cashier said in a dry and unapologetic tone, «that’s my basket» Not sure it’s worth saving a few bucks, but perhaps I’ll give it one more try…
