The fee was $ 42 for a Saturday morning round. This course is most definitely not worth it. Bad points: The greens are in poor shape with lots of dead spots. Turf care was doing a horrible job of improving the place. There was fresh sod haphazardly thrown on the ground in some areas and all of it looked dead. It looked like they laid the sod, forgot to water it, and when they realized the new sod was dying, they overcompensated with copious amounts of water. The result was lots of mud and standing water in some of the fairways and around the greens. Speaking of poor turf care, on the tenth hole a truck load or two of dirt was dumped in the fairway and a half-assed effort was made to spread the dirt out. There were clods the size of cannonballs lying in the middle of the fairway. There is no excuse for this. Where was the ground crew? Well, I saw one of them sitting in a cart under the shade trees talking on his phone. He definitely wasn’t worried about the condition of the course. Oh, watch your ball carefully on the 18th hole. It will easily get lost among the dozens of range balls littering the fairway. There was no attempt being made to clear them off(which is an easy task, you can even talk on your phone while driving the ball retriever). Good points: Hmm, the grill was clean and the girl working it was efficient. That’s about all I can say. There was no beverage cart, even though it was a hot Saturday and the course was fairly crowded. I won’t be returning, which is sad because this course has a nice layout, scenic, and has a lot of potential. But, it’s only a $ 20 course, not $ 42.

Pretty solid golf course. The wife was out of town so I wanted something to fill my morning with. Cedar Crest was the perfect solution. The staff friendly all around, with the club house being receptive and friendly. The beer cart gal was nice. gave me some ice for my water since it was 100 degrees. The course was in pretty good condition. the greens were a bit dry and wouldn’t hold many approach shots, but its been hot with minimal water. They didn’t have many dead spots, so they were fine. The layout of the course is user friendly, but can take a few strokes from you on the back as it tightens up a little bit on some of the holes.
