La Loma

I was not expecting much after reading the recent reviews concerning the change in management. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Food and service were both good. Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Portion sizes are large while maintaining fresh ingredients. Overall, a pleasant experience.

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. The service wss fast friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Evidently there has been a change in ownership and or management. The service is slow. Food is marginal. We had to wait long periods of time for drink refills and the check so we could leave. Will go back to driving into Murfreesboro to go elsewhere.

This used to be our go to Mexican restaurant as it was very close to where we live. Probably 4 stars at that time. The ownership changed some time ago and all the staff was replaced. Bad news now. We tried it there a couple times since the change but not anymore. Both the food and service are sub par now.

My husband and I decided to try this place out since it was so close to our home. Never again! The staff is horrible and rude! The food was disgusting and cold. We sent all of it back and the waitress snatched the plate off the table and rolled her eyes. The chips and salsa tasted like watered down tomato sauce. The worst place I have ever been too. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody! It will not let me leave 0 stars so that’s why it’s a 1 star. It should be negative 5 stars.

Luckily for them, they are closest restaurant to our home and their food is decent. However, their service is absolutely terrible and never shows any signs of improvement. Please, someone open more restaurants near us!

I have visited here with my boyfriend about 3 times. They always take a really long time to bring you food. Once I placed a takeout order and waited 45+ minutes on three tacos and a side order of rice. I didn’t even get the rice, the lady had to give me a refund because they were out. The staff is super friendly but they seem to be consistently understaffed for the volume of business they get. The food is average or about the same compared to other places.

Ordered a ribeye steak and could hear them microwaving it. Came out like thin beef jerky. When I inquired about this the waitress just offered to «box it up» for me to take home. 17 bucks and the food was too disgusting to eat. Plus she never checked on us once. Considering we were the only customers there at the time. How is this place still in business? NEVER AGAIN.

I’ve been here maybe 5 times and I have never left «wowed». The food is not really that good. Service is slow; I ate by myself and ordered a taco salad and then had to wait nearly 45 minutes. I live in the apartments next door and the only reason I returned is because I could walk since y car is token down at the moment.

This place always disappoints, food is either just okay or gross. Service haha, they act like they are doing you a favor. Oh and be sure to check your account afterwards if using your card. Toilet water Margaritas.

Service was fine just a lot of tables for our waiter so hard for him to keep up. My food was not what i ordered. On the reorder the steak meat tasted spoiled. I did tell mgr and they did take it off our ticket. I left disappointed hoping i don’t get sick plus I left hungry and will not go back. My mom said her meal was fine.

My wife and I visited La Loma for a quick lunch today. This was a mistake. We have been here in the past and it has been fine. On the door, a sign stated «New Management». After being seated, we waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order. When my lunch Fajitas arrived, it was a sad portion. Go just about a mile away to Camino Real!

Went back a few months ago only because Camino could not accommodate my sons baseball team. Same olé slow service and mediocre food.

I found the food to be fabulous and the service was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for groups or for just a lunch during the week. You must try the Pollo La Loma. Best Mexican chicken dish I’ve had in quite a while.

I’ve been here several times. Usually weekdays during lunch and by myself. Service here is usually fine and food is good. It’s like Camino or most of the other good Mexican restaurants in Murfreesboro. It’s also always very very clean. I have to brag on them today, though. I don’t think my experience could have been better in any way. Someone opened the door for me as I approached the building, service was perfect and the food was great and super affordable.

Meh. Its Mexican food and its cheap. I’d rather go to Camino Real but La Loma is often less packed.

We’ve been here twice. Sat on the patio both times. Had great service, and enjoyed everything we’ve tried. We’ll be back!

Fast service. Very clean looking restaurant. Food was good and very hot. I got the veggie quesadilla. Would visit again to avoid the crowds and noise at some other Mexican restaurants in town. Also there is free wifi.

Blah! We craved Mexican food one cold and rainy night and it was close to where we live. Horrible service. The host didn’t say anything to us, threw the menus on the table and walked away. The margarita was the worst I’ve ever had and the food was marginal at best.

Great food — great price!
2 dinners and a kids meal was less than $ 30. Food was very good! No wow factors, wife thought the rice was above average. Speedy, friendly service. Every server that walked by our table talked to our 1 ½ year old child and tried to make him smile so very sweet people! Weren’t hounded but came around often to see if everything was ok. Great dinner will be back again!

I was really hoping for a good experience here but, our service was horrible, the food taste cheap and the portion size is small. I just wanted to leave and had it not been for my five year old being hungry and getting upset I would had. I understand they are new but first impressions is what will make it or break it for me to care to go back. Hope things get better quick.
