I had heard a lot about this place. We ordered a club sandwich, veggie potato, potato soup, and broccoli cheddar soup. We also ordered a grilled chicken salad(to go) The food was really bland. I had to use a lot of salt. And I didn’t think that it was worth $ 50 at all. It was expensive. I also ordered a peach tea. It was gross. Bitter with artificial peach taste added. The potato tasted reheated. It was chewy. The sandwich was so bland. I could have made that at home.

Well… we come in for a first visit and the woman at the register acted like this was the LAST place on earth she wanted to be. She took our order without hardly speaking then took a girl’s tea refill who was standing behind us before finishing with our order. The potato I hot was not hot. The wild berry tea tasted good, but had a huge amount of seeds in the bottom. The nachos had dark guacamole on them. Overall, thumbs down.

I give them one star… Only because the service was great! The food was horrible. It was overpriced and flavorless. My friend and I stopped in for a late lunch, not wanting to drive all the way to Panera. I wish we had because it costs the same and paled in comparison to Panera. My soul as ok, but only luck warm and my sandwich was mushy and gross. My friend got the tortilla soup… Don’t get it. It was oddly thick and jelly like. We won’t be returning. The ladies were working were very nice and food was up quickly.

Some of the best sandwiches and baked potatoes around! My favorite is the muffuletta– complete with the requisite olive dressing. While you’re there you should try some of the chips and cheese dip — it doesn’t get much better than that unless you count the amazing tea!

I ate an Italian salad but substituted the ham for chicken and a spud max baked potato … And got food poisoning… Beware people!!! I’m just now getting over it… oh yes and that was the only thing I ate yesterday.

Fantastic! I ordered two sandwiches for carry out: the club and the New Yorker, they were both good, but the New Yorker was amazing! The restaurant was very clean, the staff was super friendly, helpful, efficient and attentive. I will definitely be back!

First time eating there and I must say it was really good! Very clean and friendly place. Lots to choose from like soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches and more. Great place to STOP for lunch. I will definitely go back to try some more of their options but I certainly enjoyed the McAlister Wrap I ordered! I also had a bite of my husbands sandwich which was also incredible!

Love the food. Obsessed with the sweet tea. I wish there were more locations throughout the Middle Tennessee area. Sometimes I forget we have one because it’s located on the side of town that no one really goes to. It’s a great place for lunch!

In the past I was never a huge fan of this place, but it’s gotten a bit better in the last year or so. Service is okay, when I went this afternoon there were quite a few employees on staff. Prices are reasonable compared to other delis and I’ve enjoyed most of the food I’ve had there before. I like their assortment of baked potato options and they’ve got a wide variety of sandwiches. I got a plain baked potato and the McAlister’s club. The club was your average club sandwich and the baked potato was decently sized. This place is almost always cold inside, which is pretty crappy on rainy days like today. Overall, the food is decent and worth the price but it’s not something I choose to frequent often.

I was not impressed with this place at all. It wasn’t clean. We waited about 5 minutes to order. Another 20 minutes to get our food. Our food wasn’t good either. Will not be going back.

I’ve been to McAlister’s about 4 times in the last 2 months and have loved everything i’ve gotten so far! The crew members are extremely friendly and the price is reasonable for what you get. I don’t understand how people are comparing this to ”fast food” because it’s not. It’s a Deli.

I don’t know what all the hate is about in these reviews. Let’s just say that it speaks to a restaurant’s quality if former employees still go there to eat. This was totally my first job. They have a little bit of everything you might be hungry for– soup, baked potatoes, sandwiches, salads, nachos, chili, potato salad, coleslaw, cheesecake, and a banging kids menu. And people go absolutely nuts for the sweet tea. The biggest complaint people have is about the price. Can you get a baked potato and a club sandwich down the street at Wendy’s for half the price? Of course. But it’s not apples to apples. The«huge» potatoes at McAlister’s are actually two large potatoes pushed together and loaded with toppings. Like, it’s as big as your head. I can’t finish one by myself. And their sandwiches are generously sized with fresh ingredients, not skanky fast-food sandwiches in a paper wrapper. I think you like or dislike Mcalister’s based on what you’re used to. Their food is on par with Panera, not Wendy’s. So let this help you decide if you want to give it a try or not. The veggie chili nacho is my vice

They charge premium prices but the food is mediocre and the portions are small, especially the soup. The place is always too cold and the staff seem annoyed to help you. It was a chore just to get a tea refill despite no one else being in line and 4 employees just standing at the counter. The employees were busy getting themselves drinks and chatting. My panini wasn’t even grilled. It was just cold bread and their cole slaw was inedible, being extremely sour. They want $ 4.50 for a baked potato with just butter and sour cream. Granted it’s really 2 potatoes in one container, but Wendy’s down the street charges $ 1 for each of theirs. I don’t see the justification to charge more than twice. For about the same price as McAlister’s you can can get much better food at Panera.

My fiancé and I both have been wanting to try this place. So we grabbed the kids and headed that way. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered our food, both of us getting the roast beef and kids got nachos and a sandwich… You definately do NOT get what you pay for here in my opinion. All four of us walked out of there still hungry. We literally went to Kroger and got something for dinner and went home and cooked it. For the money we spent for the meal we could have easily went someone where else and got better food and a lot more of it. I didnt see anything special about this place and we both agreed we would not be back.

Consistently average food. Good choices, as fast food goes. The biggest problem with McAlister’s is that the entire chain, as a whole, doesn’t seem to care about customer input. I’ve spoken to a manager at this store as well as to Corporate(a number of times), but they just don’t care about the customer experience.

Please save your money and go somewhere else. I do not like to give bad reviews, but this place was dirty, the food was expensive, and the quality was mediocre. The staff here was super friendly, but that is only one component of what keeps a business in the game.

Great, creative sandwhiches! HUGE baked potatoes, pressed paninis and some of the best sweet tea in town. Open til 10 too!
