Dude… this the best bbq ive found since moving to nashville! Yes, nashville. I dont live in the boro yet it took me until my ventures to murry burry to understand thats where the bbq is best. The employees are really nice and food is friggin great. Rick… you need to open of the places in Nashville, seriously!

I used to eat salads from Rick’s weekly when I worked nearby. Very convenient to quickly swing by the drive thru on my lunch break. I never had any issues with them giving me utensils to eat with as noted by a previous review. Many of my coworkers ate here too. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, loaded potato, and my favorite — Mandarin Salad with smoked chicken. The only issue I had was that they’d sometimes not put nearly as much chicken on the salad, but it didn’t happen enough to make me stop coming. Service is fast and friendly.

I come here for the huge(!) loaded baked potatoes! It’s awesome. You get so much for less than $ 7 You can’t get that anywhere else. They are super friendly here too.

After reading all the reviews I have decided something must have changed in the last year or so. I found the food to be very good, as well as the service. We bought a family meal and I thought it was a great deal! We got 1lb of pulled pork, potato salad, beans, buns, a two liter bottle of soda, and a bag of chips. and sauce! My only complaint was that the potato salad(which was orignally supposed to be coleslaw) was not big enough a family of four. But for $ 17 I can’t complain. I have tried all the places within a ten mile radius of our home in Walter Hill and so far this is my favorite!

ok for the price. 22 bucks for 12 sandwiches & all the fixin’s. do the bbq chips, not the regular ones. drive through only. no seating in or out. the food is brought in from the main store downtown. the sauce is not good. 2 flavors… butt & spicy butt if you need a quick meal for 4 or more this is a nice change of pace from pizza, and it beats the hell outta burgers.

Don’t bother. I am an out of towner that was looking to feed a family with toddlers at a horse show nearby. Someone said there was a BBQ place nearby. In Huntsville we have a lot of excellent BBQ places so I thought I’d try the local flavor. Well after spending $ 40 on sandwiches and fruit cups, after I paid with CC, I asked for ketchup and forks. She tells me it is $.10 per fork. I said I just bought $ 40 of food and I can’t get forks??? They only come with potatoes. What about fruit cup? You ordered 2 so you can have 2 free. Wow. For customer service they get a 0. Now for the BBQ; it was just ok. The worst BBQ places in my area are better than this. Rick’s isn’t bad but it’s not special, no depth of flavor, and nothing to ever make me go back.

The barbeque here sucks. It is smoked somewhere else and brought here. Then they heat it up in the oven. How can you call this a restaurant? My family and I had a restaurant for 8 years. Everything we cooked was homemade. I have not found good barbeque since moving to Tennessee. I have smoke hundreds of butts and Rick’s sucks. The barbeque is dried out and the sauces suck. Overall the restaurant sucks.

Rick’s was the first Southern BBQ we had in Murfreesboro. I love the prices and the pulled pork is very tasty. Their ribs are not to bad, but a tad pricey. All in all, a very good choice for lunch or dinner.

Rick’s can be a really good place when they do not screw up the drive through orders(all they have is drive through). Prices are reasonable and the food is normally fantastic. Just be sure to carefully check your order before leaving.
