Too bad we found red brick Deli on our last day of vacation. We both had bulldog sandwiches which neither of us have ever had corned beef and pastrami together on the same Reuben. Delicious!!! The meat was so tender and flavorful. Potato salad was awesome just like others have said. Got a couple pieces of key lime pie to go for the kids but the owner actually let me lick some off the spatula and I had to have my own piece. Truly great key lime pie up in the nc mountains. Who would have thought!!!

Reading the reviews on this place and on a recommendation of a local merchant, we decided to give this place a try. We were pleasantly surprised! Wicked friendly husband and wife owners. Even though we arrived close to closing time there was no rush or urgency for us to hasten our Lunch. Food was excellent. Huge Reuben sandwiches and the broccoli Cheese soup was fabulous. Potato salad Was tangy with a bacon flavor, not my favorite, but it was very good. Cole slaw was excellent as well. Prices Were As Expected of any eating establishment but you definitely got what you paid for. My husband and I have been trying to find some decent restaurants in the Murphy area and we found one more. Eat here and enjoy! BTWTHEPLACEWASSUPERCLEANTOO! Loved it!

Expensive mediocre sandwiches. $ 9.99 for the«over stuffed» sandwich(lettuce & tomato is $ 0.75 extra, cheese is $ 0.75 extra). Service was fast and excellent. I think they use cream cheese in their potato salad and it is awesome! While there isn’t a Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mike’s anywhere around, both are a much better choice for price, value and quality of sandwiches compared to RBD. If a Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mike’s opened in or around Murphy it was cause some serious(and much needed, imho) competition for RBD and other Murphy sandwich shops.

This is a great addition to Murphy, a place we often stop while traveling through western NC. The staff was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. I had a turkey wrap, which was far larger than I could finish. My companion had the Gobbler and(like AH) found it tasty and satisfying. We were talked into a piece of Key Lime Pie — the waitress said it was the best ever — and she might be right. Homemade, tart and sweet! The owner came out and checked with folks to see if they were happy with their meals. All in all, it was a great experience and I’ll never stop at Wendy’s again.

Definitely a five-star delight in downtown Murphy. The waittress was very friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast. My wife had the chili — very tasty and not overly spicy. There was plenty for a lunch. I had the«Gobbler»: a thick turkey sandwich on lightly grilled rye bread. The sandwich was filled with great sauerkraut and topped with a Russian dressing. Reminded me of my highschool days eating at Ronnie’s at Colonial Plaza in Orlando. I can’t forget to mention the potato salad — absolutely outstanding! I couldn’t finish the sandwich, so they tightly wrapped it in plastic wrap and placed it in a takeout tray with a ziplock bag of ice. I have a vacation home in Murphy and plan to revisit this delicious deli again and again.

Very cute deli. I like to see a new business opening in downtown Murphy, so many have closed the last few years. This place was packed! Great to see! I had a reuben sandwich which was excellent. The potato salad was almost identical to Daily Grind, just down the street. Maybe they buy from same supplier. The service was good also. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is slightly pricier for the a similar menu as the Daily Grind and The Daily Grind has craft beer, wine and hand made gourmet coffee in addition to the food menu. Great to have a new restaurant in town and I would definitely go back!

We visited this new restaurant in downtown Murphy today. It opens at 11:00 and we were one of the first customers of the day. The menu choices include a wide variety of sandwiches including vegetarian options. All the sandwiches come with a choice of sides. I ordered the Bulldog which was corned beef and pastrami with sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. My husband had the turkey and ham from the«overstuffed» sandwich selection. It was huge. We each chose the potato salad side. You can also choose your bread. Both of us chose the marble rye. The sandwiches and potato salad were delicious and the rye bread had been toasted perfectly. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurants have a hard time in Murphy but I think this is a winner. By the way, by the time we left every table was filled.
