Look forward anytime I’m up that way to making a visit to Aria. Love their pastries and potato/rosemary bread — yummy!

I agree with some of the previous reviews that the attitude of the employees could be a bit better, but the main reason for only 3 stars is that I picked out a pastry, and the barista(?) took my money and then touched my pastry to put it in the bag. Gross. I also saw her do the same to other customers. Wash your hands or wear gloves, please!

Went in here to get a coffee and maybe some pastries. They were very rude to my friend and I. After a rude comment from one of the ladies we decided to not get a pastry and just get our coffees that were already being made. A couple hours later our other friends went to grab coffees and they asked about some cookies and got a rude response. I was very surprised with the way they were especially after having great encounters with everyone in Murphy’s all weekend. Will NOT being giving my business when we return to Murphy’s.

I dream about their savory biscuits for breakfast. I dream about their sandwiches for lunch. And I dream about their desserts for after-dinner. While I wish I lived closer and could come in at least once a week, I’m so pleased that I don’t, because I’d probably be a good 30lb heavier if I did. It’s that good.

Purchased a Yule log for Christmas eve. It was very sloppily put together and poorly packed, decorations smashed. Tasted of artificial cherry flavoring. At $ 40.00 it was a real waste of money and frankly I was embarrassed that I had served it. No one finished their dessert and around here that has never happened before. I have had pastries here before and they were good. Have heard this place is changing hands, hope my experience it not a harbinger of things to come. I’ll try it again but if this had been my first experience I would not be coming back.

I like this place for their local nutritious ingredients and delicious finished goods, both savory and sweet. I tried their wholesome hearty veggie soup, homemade breadstick, rolls and homemade whipped cream, real chocolate hot chocolate and they all delivered! I need to come back for their other known strengths like their cinnamon rolls, etc. and of course, I like the great customer care as well. Just don’t buy the powdered highly processed junk at other places, come here and eat real food. :D

This is my second time here in the span of two days and I just have to say that I am just absolutely impressed. The staff is incredibly friendly, and let’s not forget to mention the amazing drinks and bread. My personal fav is the chai tea latte.

Delicious pastries in a quaint town. My favorite was the ham and swiss croissant – so generous and buttery and filling. Eating one of those filled me up for lunch. I also tried a few bites of a blueberry-cheese danish which was pretty good and a walnut pastry which was also delicious. The only downside is that the prices were a bit steep. My husband also ordered a panini which looked pretty delicious but seemed pretty small for a $ 12 sandwich. I didn’t actually get to try it though because it had raw pears in it and I am allergic to raw pears. Although, the description didn’t really mention it would have pears in it… it just said it would have chutney(which was cranberry).

Amazing roasted garlic parmesan bread. Get there early on the weekends to beat the rush. Delicious pumpkin muffin. Look forward to trying more.

Very delicious cinnamon roll(even though I had my doubts because it was lacking cream cheese frosting). Everything we had was great(we got about 6 different items). The variety for such a small bakery was astounding. The staff was very sweet and more then willing to please. I only gave 4 stars because as someone who has been to culinary school, I felt the bake on a few of the items was a bit overdone(mainly croissants). The prices were a bit high as well, although I understand how hard it is to keep such a business running(when you have to account for some things not selling). The bakery itself, was very quaint and I loved the country feel, very homey and inviting! If they could perfect their bake, and lower their prices by fifty cents, I would be sure to give them 5 stars next time!

Wonderful staff and even better food, the prices are pretty high but well worth it. This is my favorite town to visit anyways, and my son and I always have fun going to the Aria and then to the park to play.

Best classic style BLT with avocado on their homemade polenta wheat bread & followed by a delicious refreshing tiramisu. Perfect way to end a wine tasting adventure in Murphy’s!

Amazing pastries. Their coffee is pretty good but they need a bigger place as it is super small and hot whenever I am there. The line is long and very cramped. I just want to get my food and leave but food is pretty good.

A must every time I’m in town. I try stay away from the pastries but they’re too good. Best bagel & cream cheese I’ve ever had. Next door to my family’s winery Stevenot. Also a must

The best ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever had! Seriously. All ham and cheese croissants will be measured against this. Delicious ham, perfectly melted cheese, and the biggest and doughiest croissant. I also ordered a soy chai and my boyfriend ordered a seeded bagel and cream cheese. Our bellies were quite happy. Coming back every time we’re in Murphys before hitting the slopes at Bear Valley.

Aria is a tiny spot off Main in quaint downtown Murphy’s. It’s more bakery than café and take out only. All the fresh baked aromas permeate to the front as soon as you step foot in here. I didn’t get a chance to indulge in their sweet treats, but the turkey avocado pesto sandwich I had was scrumptious and absolutely satisfying. It was full on gourmet with chips and a tasty pickle. Since, Aria is so small inside with hardly any space, there could possibly be a bit of a wait on weekends when Murphy’s is most popular. Aria’s is worth a stop for a quick lunch to go. I don’t think I have to experience to assume their baked goods must be damn good too. I’ll take other reviewers’ words for it. Next time though…

This bakery is tiny inside but they have the best coconut macaroons ever! When I am in Murphys again, I will have to purchase muliple items to go. This bakery is included in the local food roots tour which is a nice bonus. Just thinking about it almost makes me want to drive back here very soon!

Flavors of a small town can normally be reflected in their local bakeries. The words«home made» conjures up visions of mom’s love expressed in warm, sweet, comfort treats. I always seek out local bakeries during my vacations for«home made». Almond Croissant — 2.5 stars Ham and Cheese Croissant — 2.5 stars Fruit Strudel — 3.5 stars Lemon Bar — 3.5 stars Meyer Lemon Cheesecake — 3.5 stars Fruit Tart — 3.5 stars Cream Puff — 3 stars Apricot Danish — 2.5 stars Éclair — 3 stars

Aria is the bomb, point blank. I have been to Europe and major cities and Aria holds its own against all other bakeries! I absolutely LOVE the lemon cream cupcake. I always buy one when they have it. Also all of the other pastries are delicious. BUT the coffee is not that great. I don’t really think they have a template for how to do them, it seems like it’s different every time. One time I ordered an iced hazelnut latte and it tasted like straight hazelnut milk. SO therefore I highly recommend the pastries but not the coffee.

We’ve come here for years and finally decided to write a review. There is very much to be said about a bakery and this place is exceptional. We ordered the ham & cheese croissant, oatmeal cookie, and the rasberry strudel. Of course everything was excellent so there’s not much more to say. BUT if you are going to indulge and enjoy those extra calories, this is the place!
